Inside the Rain Village

”Leader, is there something important? Why did you call us?”

Kisame asked, feeling a bit strange about this meeting since they had just had a similar meeting three days ago.

In that meeting, it was stated that Itachi and Kisame shouldn’t go to Konoha right now because their Hokage could sense people’s ill intent.

That meant they could never sneak into the village without being found out by Naruto.

What’s even worse was that they didn’t think they could defeat the Perfect Jinchuriki. Especially if that person was accompanied by two Sannin.

That’s right! The information about Tsunade’s return was publicized so everyone knew two of the Sannin had returned to the village.

”There is an important piece of information. Another war might start soon.”

Pain revealed the information without any delay. Since everyone was present, he didn’t want to play riddles.

”Huh? Fourth Great Ninja War? Wow! Leader, are we going to do something in this war?”

Deidara excitedly asked.

Pain shook his head.

”Unfortunately, the Fourth Mizukage is dead, along with its Tailed Beast. At the same time, the Fifth Mizukage has already been chosen.”

”But of course, this war is important for us.”

At this moment, Pain’s Rinnegan flared as he spoke.

”Humans choose war because they can’t comprehend peace. So, let the world feel pain. Akatsuki will do everything to make this war hellish.”

That’s right!

Pain, or Nagato, decided to use this war as a straightforward method to cause more deaths. Because in his eyes, pain could help the world understand peace.

”What does that mean?”

Hidan asked with some confusion.

”Are we participating in this war or not?”

Itachi’s Sharingan flared. He realized this might become the most tragic war if the Akatsuki decided to participate.

But the problem was that only people who knew his identity were already dead. So, he couldn’t return to the village even if he wanted to.

He could only hope that Sasuke would be ready soon. Fortunately, Sasuke had already awakened the Three Tomoe Sharingan.

This would make things much easier.

”We will participate, but not to help any country. The war will not begin immediately. The Cloud and Stone Villages are trying to use Danzo to start this war.”

”After all, Konoha has never started a war before. They wanted to see if it dares to do this. And even if it does, the blame for starting a war will land on Konoha.”

”But before that, we will start with simple assassinations. Not all at once, but slowly until they find the location of Danzo and the war starts.”

”If the war doesn’t start, we will reenact our original plan. If it doesn’t, then we will just follow this path.”

Originally, Nagato wanted to use Ten Tails as a weapon and bring peace to the world.

But he had a policy.

Pain was needed for people to accept peace. He would give them pain first. Then, he would collect those weapons to bring them peace.

This was his new plan.

”Who are we attacking?”

Kakazu asked.

”Small nobles and those who control measure positions in different villages. You mustn’t reveal our identity during any of the assassinations.”

”And if you do end up revealing your identity, you have a proper reason for it.”

Pain answered.

”How confident are you that this war will start?”

Itachi asked.

”100 percent. Nobody can stop this war from starting because nobody understands pain.”

”So, let the world feel pain!”

Hearing his words, Deidara asked.

”Leader, is this your catchphrase?”

Pain almost lost connection when he heard that question. Fortunately, he chose to ignore it and cancelled the connection with others.

Inside the tallest building of Rain Village, three people and a plant creature were having a discussion.

”You can’t enter the village?”

”No! No matter what I try, I instantly sense a chakra flare from Hokage’s Building. Fortunately, I run away quickly every time. Otherwise, I would’ve been captured.”

Hearing his words, Pain turned towards the masked man and asked.

”You said something about this ability. Can’t you just not have any malice towards him?”

Madara shrugged his shoulders and said.

”As long as you have even the slightest idea of his identity, you are bound to have malice against him.”

”His ability doesn’t sense our Chakra. It senses our malice. So no matter how hard one tries, they can’t hide from his malice-sensing ability.”

While answering, he looked at Black Zetsu with some suspicion.

He already knew Madara had placed a seal on his heart. But after hearing this information, he realized he might’ve been targeted a long time ago.

According to Black Zetsu, Mito Uzumaki had the ability to control the Nine-Tails.

Mito survived through the Warring States Period, so her combat strength was already very high.

With her Sealing Jutsu, she could easily defeat the Nine-Tails and take its Chakra to unlock Kyubi Chakra Mode.

This allowed her to inherit the ability to sense malice.

Coincidentally, Mito Uzumaki died a few years after his birth.

Although his knowledge about Mangekyo wasn’t as extensive as Madara, he knew Sharingan could be born when a person feels despair.

So when he felt pain and despair, he awakened the Two Tomoe Sharingan. That happened again, so he awakened the Mangekyo.

These events made him even more suspicious of Madara.

Black Zetsu was helpless about this fact. He had no choice but to reveal this information; otherwise, Obito would ask him to send more White Zetsu.

He realized that Naruto wasn’t just killing White Zetsu clones. He was finding them and sealing them.

More importantly, he noticed the presence of Tobirama in Konoha alongside Otsutsuki Chakra.

These two points made things very difficult for him.

First of all, who brought Tobirama?

Second, how could he feel Otsutsuki Chakra?

Naruto or Sasuke would need to devour all of Indra and Ashura Chakra to awaken Otsutsuki Chakra, and even then, it wouldn’t be useful.

What made Madara and Hashirama so unique was that they used Indra and Ashura’s Chakra to make themselves stronger.

That meant a portion of their Chakra remained in both of them. When they died, this chakra didn’t reincarnate.

It remained in Hashirama’s corpse and Madara’s Rinnegan.
