Chapter 395: The Wind Rises in Amegakure

”After adopting three methods, direct oral administration, purified oral administration, and purified injection, the three Genin showed different increases in Chakra volume. Direct oral administration increased it by eleven times, purified oral administration by nine times, and blood injection by eight times.”

”From this, a preliminary inference can be drawn. If the Hero Substance itself is directly purified and injected into the blood, it remains effective, but its effect is still inferior to oral administration.”

”Is it possible that oral absorption takes time, leading to a longer period of cell division and resulting in a higher Chakra multiplier?”

Amamiya Kenichi recorded the information with his pen, then looked at the three Genin in front of him.

They were currently refining Chakra to recover their condition, while Amamiya Kenichi’s Shadow Clones stood nearby, timing them with stopwatches and continuously monitoring their Chakra levels.

”Still, I didn’t expect purified Hero’s Water to have a weaker effect than unpurified Hero’s Water. That’s really strange.” Amamiya Kenichi shook his head.

He truly had not expected purifying the Hero’s Water to have the opposite effect.

Generally speaking, after extracting a certain substance from something, its effect should become stronger. It gave people the impression that concentration was the essence.

Even if it did not reach that level, the purified substance should usually be able to achieve the original effect. It was like Vitamin C tablets. One small pill was enough to provide a sufficient amount of Vitamin C, far more convenient than eating a large amount of fruit.

But Hero’s Water was completely different.

After the Hero Substance inside Hero’s Water was purified, its medicinal effect actually weakened. It could not even match direct oral administration, which was truly mysterious.

Amamiya Kenichi stretched lazily, then stood and left.

He had not eaten lunch yet.

As for when the Chakra of these Genin would return to normal, that work would be handled by his Shadow Clones. He could steal a little free time for himself.

Just as he arrived at the entrance of a decent yakiniku restaurant in the capital of the Land of Snow, Amamiya Kenichi saw Naruto and his family of three walking out.

”Eh? Teacher!” Naruto happily ran over.

Amamiya Kenichi chuckled, picked Naruto up, and ruffled his little head. Naruto looked much happier than he had in Konoha. There were more smiles on his face now, and he no longer walked around with his hands stuffed in his pockets.

Minato stood nearby with a gentle smile, while Kushina also greeted Amamiya Kenichi.

She had a very good impression of him. Not only had Amamiya Kenichi revived her, he had also taken care of Naruto. If not for him, she would not have been able to see her son again.

”Naruto, did you come here for a meal too?” Amamiya Kenichi asked with a chuckle, then glanced at Minato.

Minato was still wearing the soul-restraint device developed by Amado on his head, but it was almost time to change Minato’s body.

Although Edo Tensei could be maintained for a period of time, it could not last too long. One month remained the upper limit.

”Yes! Teacher, are you here to eat too?” Naruto asked curiously.

He always felt his teacher was a little mysterious, always appearing and disappearing like a phantom.

”Yes. I almost forgot to eat,” Amamiya Kenichi said.

He chatted with Naruto for a while, then let Naruto leave with Kushina. Meanwhile, Amamiya Kenichi pulled Minato into the yakiniku restaurant. There were some things he wanted to ask Minato.

”I don’t remember anything... but the matter of Roran was indeed handled by me.”

Sitting in a small private room, Minato looked at Amamiya Kenichi in confusion. He truly had not expected Amamiya Kenichi to ask about this.

Amamiya Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

It seemed Minato really did not remember it at the moment. He wondered if there was still some kind of memory-sealing object on him, but normally, after a person died, the seal should have been released.

”However, if what you said is true, then according to my personality, I should have sealed that memory directly and then destroyed it, leaving no possibility of recovery,” Minato said after thinking for a moment.

Amamiya Kenichi nodded. If that were the case, then it made sense.

No, it still did not.

”But why does my junior sister, Anko, remember it?” Amamiya Kenichi was puzzled.

This matter was too absurd. If all their memories had been erased, there was no reason for Anko to still remember.

”I don’t know. But time travel itself is extremely rare. Perhaps something happened during the process,” Minato said, shaking his head.

He truly had no memory of that period now.

He knew about the Dragon Veins. He knew about Roran. But he had no memory at all of a person named Anko Mitarashi.

According to his own personality, Minato felt that the memory should have been sealed and erased by him, and there was no trace of a seal on his body.

Amamiya Kenichi sighed.

If that were the case, then this matter might forever remain a mystery, impossible to prove.

He was now very curious. Was the Minato that Anko met the current Minato, or a Minato who had walked down a different path?

And at that time in the Ninja World, was there another version of him?

”I didn’t expect you to care about questions like this,” Minato said, picking up a cup of water and taking a sip.

Although he had no need to drink water, drinking had already become a habit. It was a pity that even drinking alcohol could no longer give him the feeling of becoming drunk.

”She’s still my junior sister, after all. Although she made some mistakes, I can’t truly ignore her.” Amamiya Kenichi sighed.

Fortunately, he had thrown this problem to his teacher. Let his teacher worry about how to handle it. He did not want to deal with it anymore.

”The supplies for the ninja army’s deployment are almost ready. When do you plan to...” Minato narrowed his eyes.

He was a little nervous.

Although he had experienced wars, this time was different. This was a war meant to destroy an entire country and Ninja Village. The pressure was simply immense.

One had to know that in the previous three Great Ninja Wars, although Kage-level powerhouses had died, there had never been a situation where one side invaded with the goal of overthrowing an entire regime.

Therefore, this war was completely different from all previous wars.

”When the wind rises,” Amamiya Kenichi said with a smile.

He was also waiting.

Waiting for a result from the Amegakure matter.

No matter which Ninja Village the five bottles of Hero’s Water fell into, they would only become greedier.

This was an open scheme.

Even if the smart people in the Five Great Ninja Villages sensed something was wrong, faced with the bait that was Hero’s Water, they had no choice but to jump in, even if they did not want to.

That was why Amamiya Kenichi called it an open scheme.

”Damn it!”

In Amegakure, Tsunade wiped the rain from her face and frowned as she looked ahead.

Opposite her was a team of Iwagakure ninja. She recognized the leader, Kitsuchi. Kurotsuchi was also with him. Both of them were considered elite ninja within Iwagakure.

”This isn’t good. Sunagakure is led by Lady Chiyo,” Shikaku sighed beside her.

He was also part of the accompanying team this time, serving as Tsunade’s deputy. But he had not expected that the ninja sent by each Village this time would all be major figures.

Lady Chiyo, Kitsuchi, Kurotsuchi, and Darui had all come.

They had even learned from Darui that Hidden Mist Village’s team this time was led by Mei Terumi, who was also no ordinary figure.

It could be said that Amegakure had now gathered the high-end combat power of the Five Great Ninja Villages.

The situation was terrible.

Fortunately, they had already seen what the intelligence mentioned.

Five test tubes, and a greedy rogue ninja who wanted to sell the Hero’s Water.

He claimed it was for money, but no one knew if that was truly the case. The rogue ninja was now surrounded by them in the center, hugging a box with a panicked expression.

Inside that box was the Hero’s Water.

”I didn’t expect everyone to come,” Lady Chiyo said as she walked out with the Sunagakure ninja.

She glanced in Konoha’s direction, and a flash of hatred appeared in her eyes.

The grudges between Sunagakure and Konoha had a long history, and Lady Chiyo’s hatred for Konoha ran deep. The fact that she could restrain herself and not attack now was already because she was considering the bigger picture.

”Lady Chiyo, for Sunagakure to send you, it seems you’re determined to get this Hero’s Water,” Darui said with a yawn as he also stepped out.

He nodded toward Tsunade.

At present, the relationship between Kumogakure and Konoha was relatively stable. It had not reached the point where they would fight fiercely over a matter like this.

Of course, that was only because the efficacy of the Hero’s Water had not yet been verified.

If it was proven to be real, then things would be different.

”Hmph.” Lady Chiyo snorted coldly.

”Everyone really came,” Mei Terumi said as she also stepped out with her ninja squad.

Her expression was not good.

She felt there had to be a problem here. After all, this intelligence was so important, yet it had been made public, as if someone had deliberately lured them all here.

But there was no choice. This matter was too important. Hidden Mist Village did not dare gamble that the information was false, so they had to come and see for themselves.

Thus, she had been assigned to lead the team.

But she had not expected her leadership to seem somewhat insufficient.

Just look at who these people were.

Mei’s expression was very serious. These people were all formidable figures, but no Ninja Village had sent a Jinchuriki. That was normal. If all the Jinchuriki had been sent, that would have been far too outrageous.

”It’s truly lively.” Kitsuchi looked at the ninja before him.

Every leader present was a renowned figure in the Ninja World. It seemed that every Village took this matter seriously.

”I think something is wrong,” Kurotsuchi whispered to her father.

Although she was not very old, she wanted to serve her Village, so she had followed them here.

”It is wrong. All five Ninja Villages are here.” Kitsuchi pinched the bridge of his nose.

There were only five tubes of Hero’s Water, and this information had spread to all five Ninja Villages. If someone said this was not deliberate, Kitsuchi would never believe it.

But there was no choice.

The effect of Hero’s Water was simply too powerful.

As for the unlucky rogue ninja in the middle, no one cared about him. His strength was not great. During the previous chase, it had already been confirmed that he was only a Chunin.

The people from the Five Great Ninja Villages stood there, surrounding the rogue ninja in the middle.

No one spoke.

No one moved.

At this moment, whoever moved first would easily be attacked by everyone else.

”...Sirs, how about... I give each of you one?” the rogue ninja asked awkwardly while hugging the box in his arms.

These people were terrifyingly strong. He did not think he had any chance of escaping.

He should have known better than to try earning this money.

Tsunade and the others exchanged glances, then nodded to one another.

Immediately, they each arranged for a deputy to retrieve one.

As for money, naturally, there was none.

And then...

The moment the Hero’s Water was obtained, the ninja from the five Ninja Villages moved at the same time.

Their goal was to capture the rogue ninja and interrogate him about the source of the Hero’s Water.

”This Hero’s Water came from... from the Land of Waterfalls!” the rogue ninja shouted.

The ninja from the five Ninja Villages all paused at the same time.

The Land of Waterfalls?

Takigakure?

However, the entrance to that Village was extremely difficult to find, so no country had ever targeted that small nation before.

But now, it seemed...

Even though the rogue ninja had already spoken, the five Ninja Villages still acted.

They needed to verify the accuracy of this intelligence.

The rogue ninja’s eyes also hardened. He knew he could not escape no matter what.

But that hardness only lasted for a moment.

In reality, he could do nothing.

Against the elites of the Five Great Ninja Villages, his resistance was no different from an ant trying to stop a giant.

In an instant, countless civilian homes were destroyed by Ninjutsu.

The wailing residents of Amegakure fled their homes in grief and terror, but even more people were forever buried inside their own houses.

Perhaps they had never dreamed that they would be attacked by the ninja of the Five Great Nations inside their own Village.

A chaotic battle erupted.

For a moment, the entire scene became somewhat uncontrollable.

But the Five Great Ninja Villages still tried their best to restrain themselves, avoiding excessively heavy losses. Once the situation truly spiraled out of control, it would not be good for any of them.

They only needed to bring the Hero’s Water back, verify it, and then locate a stable source.

And at that moment, a ninja wearing a Konoha forehead protector silently blended into the chaotic battle.

Then, screams began to echo across the battlefield one after another.

Raindrops fell endlessly.

Blood flowed from the wounds of the ninja, soaking into this unfortunate land and causing the entire battlefield to fall silent for a brief instant.

”You actually went for the kill?!” Lady Chiyo’s voice was filled with shock and anger.

She had just seen a Konoha ninja stab one of Sunagakure’s ninja with a blade.
