Chapter 152: MSOC: Chapter 152

”Die, brat!” A fierce roar echoed through the rocky ruins. A lightning-wreathed hand, fingers merged like an invincible spear, lunged towards a small figure.

”Hmph!”

Golden hair whipped up by the oncoming blast, a crazed look on the young face, the child formed a hand seal and shouted.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion echoed as the explosive clay hidden in the ruins detonated. A violent shockwave sent sand and dust flying, propelling the small figure away, narrowly avoiding the lightning spear.

”Puppet guy, hurry up!” Deidara yelled.

The ground rumbled as black iron sand earth spikes erupted, resembling spears.

”Iron Sand Technique: Thousand Spears Hell!”

Countless black spikes shot towards the Third Raikage, their speed tearing through the air. A deafening crash followed as the spikes struck the Raikage. Then, the ground trembled, and several white centipedes, thirty to forty centimeters long, swarmed the Raikage.

”Old geezer! Die!”

Deidara, forming hand seals, roared.

”Hmph!”

The white clay centipedes swelled, explosive chakra emanating from them.

”Hmph, an Explosion Release brat and a puppet brat who could kill his own Kazekage. Such childish tactics won’t kill this Raikage,” the Third Raikage sneered.

A surge of lightning chakra dispelled the dust. The thousands of spikes seemed to hit the Raikage, but a lightning armor deflected them. A black marking on his arm flashed, releasing a violent aura.

”Black Lightning!”

The blue lightning transformed into raging black lightning, instantly obliterating the centipedes.

Deidara’s young face paled. For a seven or eight-year-old, fighting a Kage-level shinobi to this extent was impressive. Lightning countered earth; any explosive clay struck by lightning would be destroyed, rendering it inert. If he hadn’t recklessly followed Sasori to test his art and foolishly ambushed the Raikage, hoping to impress his teacher Onoki, he wouldn’t be hunted for a day and a night.

”Is that all you’ve got? To think you could kill this Raikage is arrogant and foolish,” the Third Raikage sneered.

”Hell Stab: Three-Finger Nukite!”

The Raikage’s four merged fingers transformed into three. The black lightning rapidly condensed. Three lightning spears, several meters long, shot towards the iron spikes.

Clang!

The spikes shattered. The Raikage stepped forward.

”Lightning Prison: Righteous Axe, Sinking Thunder!”

Boom!

The ground shattered under the impact. The Third Kazekage puppet, hidden underground, lost its connection. The earth spikes dissipated.

Sasori’s expression changed drastically. ”Brat, run!” He didn’t care for Deidara, but after a day and a night of being hunted together, they’d formed a bond. The Raikage’s killing intent was clearly focused on Deidara.

”Puppet guy, when’s that guy coming? We’ll die!” Deidara’s face contorted, throwing a C1 explosive clay spider. This was his last resort, hoping to buy time to escape.

”Too late. You’ll both die!”

A gust of wind howled, lightning crackling. Deidara saw a towering figure shrouded in black lightning. The clay spiders lost their connection. A three-fingered black lightning spear struck.

Boom!

A deafening roar echoed, a violent shockwave sweeping outwards. Deidara was jolted awake. He saw a figure, also wreathed in lightning, a slender form under a black robe, a massive Susano’o, crimson and ominous, forming around it.

”Boss, you finally arrived!” Sasori gasped in relief.

”Sorry, I’m just in time,” Kai said, lifting his head, his black cloak falling to reveal blood-red eyes.

Seeing Kai, and those blood-red eyes, the Third Raikage’s expression changed. He broke eye contact, his internal lightning disrupting his chakra flow, helping him resist the genjutsu. He didn’t engage Kai visually, instead using his lightning chakra mode’s sensory abilities.
