My Three Wives Are Beautiful Vampires

Chapter 1138: The beginning is always difficult.

At first, when Victor activated the ritual and used himself as a battery, he found everything incredibly strange. His reserves were immense, a level of energy that could sustain several planets with ease. Even using all his power, he would not become tired.

But only 7 weeks after the ritual was activated, he began to feel signs of fatigue. You see, itʼs not that he was tired, but that he was showing signs that he could become tired. Which was ridiculous! If there was one thing he had absolute confidence in, it was his energy.

After all, he was not just a dragon god, he was the progenitor of this new race that was the perfect fusion of a dragon and a vampire. Not to mention that he had control over countless world trees throughout this entire sector, and each of them provided energy to him in exchange for Victor nurturing them with his energies. He was also an outer god!

Not to mention that he was not sustaining the entire ritual on his own. His wives were sharing the burden with him. With him, Jeanne, and Natalia being the ones who have taken on the heaviest burdens.

As the strongest energy batteries, Victor took on the greatest burden, followed by Jeanne, considering that, in terms of pure energy, she only loses to Victor. Natalia, as a goddess of time, took on the burden of controlling the time of the ritual, and therefore cannot lose her concentration.

When she was getting tired, his wives intervened and helped ease the burden. After all, not all of them were helping at the same time. They are participating in a rotation format, since some of them need to descend into their avatars to assist in the development of the Empire.

The only ones who are always present are Jeanne and Victor, who were essentially acting as anchors for the ritual.

And even so, he showed signs of becoming tired! He completely underestimated the energetic scale of this project. He was spending more energy than he was producing, and that was ridiculous considering all his powers.

But thinking deeply about the matter, he understood the problem. Essentially speaking, ALL the changes that are occurring within the ritual are spending his energy.

Time passing faster, the actions of all beings, the rotation of the planet, the solar system itself, absolutely everything consumed energy.

Because Victor was not just accelerating the development of the planet, he was accelerating the development of the entire Milky Way, and that is where the problem lies.

In fact, the simple fact that it took so long for him to feel even minimal energetic wear proves how absurd his energy reserves are, and those of his wives.

Victor predicts that if someone were to replace him, someone like Violet or Sasha, for example, would, despite being draconic goddesses, just die from activating the ritual.

Fortunately, Victor was adaptable. Upon identifying the problem, he immediately ceased all unnecessary energy expenditure and began meditating. He focused all his attention on the ritual and on energy recovery.

…

Near the center of the Milky Way, inside the imperial ship, Victor and Jeanne were sitting in a meditative pose in an empty room. As the energy emanating from the two was so powerful, they had to move as far away from the edge of the Galaxy as possible and go straight to the center, or they could risk their own emanated power affecting the surrounding Galaxies, causing complications that would require Victorʼs help to correct.

Kaguya, Sasha, and Nyx observed their husband with neutral but somewhat worried expressions. They were constantly keeping an eye on him, with Sasha being a permanent resident, always watching Victor. Meanwhile, the others rotated between going to the Empire to help in its development and spending energy on the ritual to ease the burden on Jeanne, Victor, and Natalia.

”Who will descend now?” Sasha asked.

”Nyx and I. We will create the third legion of the Empire.” Kaguya replied.

”The secret police?”

”Yes.” Kaguya nodded. Regardless of the nation, it was a fact that they all needed a force that dealt with intelligence and counterintelligence. After all, unstable elements were always common within a nation, no matter how perfect it was.

This was no exception for Victorʼs Empire. Even though the control of the Imperial family was enormous, there would still be those dissatisfied or too ambitious for their own good. Even if the number was very small because everyone understood how powerful the Imperial family was, it still exists... Especially on the side of the lesser gods of the allied pantheons.

Even if Kali and Amaterasu tried to control these elements, it was impossible to contain everything. In the end, an intelligence force was necessary as these individuals could always disappear and serve as an example.

”Tsk, they have everything, low taxes, better education, better entertainment, even a place to grow stronger, and even so, there will be people like that, huh,” Sasha complained.

”It is the nature of a being to always want more. They are never satisfied.” Nyx spoke in a tone of disdain. These actions are nothing new to her.

The imperial family controlled everything in the Empire, and the economy was one of them. There was no such thing as an unstable economy or generalized inflation, because they were the ones who provided the supplies. There was an entire logistics system to control resource expenditures.

They cannot give too many resources, or the products will have no value, and the population will become lazy. They also cannot give too few resources, or the population will become dissatisfied and rebellious, and seeds of rebellion may be born.

Just thinking about it, Sasha felt a headache. ʼWho said ruling was easy? Fortunately, my sisters and my daughter Akasha are competent.ʼ

In any case, if any god becomes too bold, they could always send a dragon, a leviathan, or even Kaguyaʼs assassins to deal with them and serve as an example.

Two white lights materialized near the women, and soon Violet and Scathach appeared.

”Any progress?” Sasha asked.

”Yes, the legions were created, and the Empire is beginning to expand... The goddesses of fertility, sex, marriage, and love are practically vibrating with excitement.” Violet commented at the end, with a slight air of displeasure. Thanks to her senses, she can see, smell, and feel too much. Staying on the planet has become unbearable.

Led by Aphrodite, the goddesses with these concepts bathed the Empire with their divine influences, and as Aphrodite herself was empowering these blessings, even the highest-level gods were affected... The consequence is obvious: they are procreating like rabbits.

In fact, that analogy was an offense to the rabbit itself. Rabbits were shy and only had between 6 and 12 offspring per litter, but the individuals of the Empire were bathed by the influence of these goddesses? 15 to 20 children was the norm.

Of course, these children did not come from a single woman. Due to the expansion propaganda, the Harem had become something even more common in the Empire.

As long as you have the resources to support the partners, the Empire will not interfere in anything. Combine this fact with a population that was much healthier than before due to the presence of gods and advanced technology, a monarchy that values useful individuals, and an environment where, if you strive enough, you will be rewarded. It was not uncommon for ordinary people to receive small wealth.

And since basic necessities such as housing, water, and food are cheap, it was very easy to maintain a harem.

Not to mention that due to the blessing of fertility, a woman can have quintuplets and not suffer any negative impact on her body.

Violet saw a man with only 4 wives who had a total of 14 children at once since they all became pregnant at the same time.

And this man was ʼshyʼ compared to other men who have 7 to 10 wives.

Reverse Harem was also not uncommon, but due to the blessings of the goddesses, these women are practically pregnant throughout the entire year without rest. Incredibly, they do not mind it at all.

”... Aphrodite was having too much fun spreading her influence and that of the goddesses under her command. If I had not pulled her ear to make her avoid influencing the children and the long-lived races, the situation would have become bad.” Scathach snorted.

”Isnʼt Anna responsible for that?” Kaguya asked.

”Yes, but that event happened when Anna had left her avatar.”

”I see... Should we keep someone watching Aphrodite?”

”There is no need, I am sure she will not forget her lesson.” Scathachʼs eyes shone lightly as she smiled innocently.

”....” Everyone around felt a chill down their spine. They were very aware of Scathachʼs methods. After all, at some point, all of them had suffered at the warriorʼs hands.

”How are things with him?” Scathach asked.

”Stable, his body is no longer showing any signs of wear. Roxanne and Amara reported that his inner world is also very stable… But…” Sasha paused at the end.

”Is there any problem?” Scathach asked.

”It is not a problem with Victor. It is a problem with the souls.” Sasha commented.

”... Persephone and Lilith reported that the reincarnation cycle is not large and stable enough to handle the demand for souls. Not to mention that the cities of the Underworld are becoming crowded. We must create a more efficient system so that souls reincarnate and do not remain in the Underworld.”

It was not as if wars were occurring in the Empire, but even so, death still occurred there. Arrogant or overly bold people who challenge the tower in search of strength but do not prepare. Deaths from natural causes, such as old age, accidents, homicides due to fights between relatives, or someone who woke up on a bad day. All these deaths were not uncommon.

As gods, they could intervene and resurrect these souls, but life needs a cycle, a beginning, and an end. A population where everyone was immortal would only lead to stagnation in the long term.

Yes, there were many very long-lived races, such as vampires, elves, spirits, and gods, but they were the minority. Even a demigod lives only 300 to 500 years. A human from the Empire can live up to 150 to 160 years with the body of a 60-year-old, thanks to the saturation of so many supernatural beings, and because of the planetʼs own natural energy, which is very rich. The technological methods to extend life were also not disclosed on purpose, since people need to die, that is the cycle of life.

Gods were also notified not to interfere too much among mortals in this regard.

Although the technology to extend life was not disclosed, it was not complicated, since aging was nothing more than cells dying from accumulated damage, something that could be easily resolved. Medical technology was nearly perfect, diseases practically did not exist, and lost limbs were restored in an instant.

Violet thought about something for a few seconds and just sighed: ”... We have to redo the entire reincarnation system, donʼt we?”

”Ugh.” Everyone except Sasha grumbled.

”To be born in the Empire then, upon dying, be thrown into hell where your life will be evaluated according to the rules of the Empire. Those with great deeds are rewarded with reincarnation in a stronger body and will stand by in Valhalla. Those who followed the rules of the Empire immediately reincarnate into a new life as citizens of the Empire.” A voice was heard.

The women look and see Hela approaching.

”Isnʼt that basically the Norse system?” Nyx asked.

”Why mess with something that works?” She smiled.

”....” Well, they could not disagree with that logic.

”We should change the name of hell, choose something friendlier... Hmm, how about: Emperorʼs Rest, or following the dragon theme, Dragon Rest. Underworld and hell are very aggressive names for an afterlife.”

”Emperorʼs Rest is a good choice, but it does not have to be that direct a name. We can create a tale, something like those who die find themselves before the Emperor, and the worthy achieve their rest in a new spark of life.” Sasha suggested.

”Hmm... Names have power, so we will still need an official name for the afterlife.” Nyx pointed out.

”....” The women looked at each other with tired expressions. They were very bad at naming something new.

”This is when we need Ruby and Pepper,” Violet grumbled.

Everyone nodded. If there was anyone who was good at giving names, it was those two.

”Well, Ruby is busy; the only one available is Pepper. Letʼs see what she says.” Violet focused on their connection and reached out to Pepper.

”Violet?” Pepperʼs image appeared beside the women.

”Pepper, give me name ideas for the afterlife,” Violet asked.

”Leave it to me! Hmm... I thought of three good names, Garden of Entropy, Emperorʼs Eden, and The Capital of the After-World.”

”.....”

”As expected of Pepper.” Everyone said at the same time.

”Hehehehe~” She laughed, satisfied, and then spoke enthusiastically: ”I also thought of something cool, how about Soul Nexus?... Although it does not match our theme very well, you know what? Ignore it, I just saw that in an anime I was watching recently!”

”Actually, they are all good, but I vote for Emperorʼs Eden, creating passages in the sacred scriptures will be easier.” Hela pointed out.

”Actually, depending on the tone, all the names are good,” Violet said.

”Indeed, but we are looking for a resting place, not a mythical name.” Scathach reminded the women.

While the women were discussing, Sasha, who was silent, suddenly realized something.

”Wait, how do you have time to watch anime, Pepper?” Sasha narrowed her eyes. ”Arenʼt you taking care of the cultural progression of the Empire?”

”... Fue? Well...” Pepper visibly broke out in a cold sweat, then disappeared, saying, ”I need to go, bye!”

”...” The women just shook their heads.

”Even being a mother, she does not change,” Violet commented with a helpless smile.

”In a way, it is admirable to remain true to oneself for so long.” Scathach smiled amusedly at her daughter.

”...” They could not deny those words.

”Letʼs go with Emperorʼs Eden then?” Kaguya said, looking at the Empress.

”Yes.” Violet nodded in agreement.

”What happens to the cities of hell then?” Sasha asked.

”We will not give them up, after all, they were created by Darling... But we have to change hell... Or create a new dimension.” Violet said.

”It is easier to create a new dimension, a place where the worthy will go, a place where souls will be judged,” Hela said.

”Actually, I think creating a new dimension for worthy warriors is useless.” Nyx said and then pointed out: ”After all, those worthy souls will join the squad of beings created by Darling.”

”Symbolism is what matters, Nyx. That symbolism is what unites the warriors even more,” Hela said. As an ancient Norse, she understood that very well. ”In fact, we should make a place for tired souls as well, a place where they can rest for as long as necessary and then go on their great new adventure… Of course, only the most worthy, the heroes of the Empire, will go to that place.”

”Agreed. This matter will be left in your hands, Hela.” Violet liked the idea very much.

”Ugh, I knew it.” She grumbled, but still accepted the job.

Violet clapped once and said with a charming smile on her face: ”We will keep hell for sinners and demonic creatures, create a new place for soul screening, a new dimension for the worthy, and a new dimension for tired souls to rest, very easy work.”

Hela rolled her eyes. Creating an afterlife for trillions of lives was not easy at all!

”The biggest problem is the soul system itself, the dimension is easy to make... Preferably, I would like Darlingʼs help, since he is the greatest authority on souls in our pantheon.” Hela said.

Before the women could say anything, they heard in their minds.

[I will help you, just prepare everything and leave the flow of souls to me.]

Hela looked at Victor floating with his eyes closed and smiled gently: ”Thank you for the help, Darling.”

[Always, My dear.]
