My Talent Skill Mutated

”It’s just a formality. Nothing special, and there aren’t any tangible rewards,” Chen Yu said lightly.

Ma Xiang: ”...”

’Isn’t this kind of honor enough?’

Ma Xiang’s heart twitched as he looked at Chen Yu.

’Thinking about Chen Yu’s current strength, this seems... hmm, pretty reasonable.’

”The academy will definitely give you more rewards later, Brother Yu. Just take your time,” Ma Xiang said, looking at the massive crowd.

Chen Yu didn’t speak, just waited quietly.

At nine in the morning, the academy’s leaders gathered together.

After the classic opening, Chen Yu also went on stage.

Thundering applause echoed across the central plaza.

Holding a standard script, Chen Yu gave a speech. By noon, his personal celebration and the opening ceremony had come to a close.

After eating in the academy cafeteria, Chen Yu went to meet with the dean.

A change of residence!

The rest was quite simple.

Fourth-year students had already reached the top tier. Unlike students in other years, as long as they earned their required personal credits, they were free to arrange their own activities.

They had plenty of time!

As for credits, although Chen Yu hadn’t done any academy missions for a long time, he had accumulated quite a few. Even if he did no more missions for the rest of his time here, he could still graduate without issue.

Under normal circumstances, fourth-year students had already become members of the Alliance. They could skip academy missions, but they still had to complete missions for the Alliance.

But for now, Chen Yu had a lot of free time. He wouldn’t have any missions before entering the Astral Realm.

He currently had only one task: make thorough preparations, then head to the Astral Realm.

...

”You really don’t plan on being the student council president?” the dean asked, looking at Chen Yu.

Chen Yu nodded. ”Yes. I’m not suited for it. You should find someone else, Dean.”

Hearing this, the dean looked at Chen Yu, feeling a headache coming on.

Any other student would beg for this position, yet this guy didn’t want it.

The position had remained vacant ever since Dongfang Yi graduated.

Suitable candidates were extremely rare.

Chen Yu was the best candidate.

After all, the president of the academy’s student council basically represented the strongest student in the academy.

Chen Yu was qualified, but if he didn’t want to do it, the dean couldn’t force him.

Sighing helplessly, the dean looked at him and said, ”Fine. You don’t have to be president. However, you must be listed as a vice president of the student council.”

”Fine, that’s no problem.”

Chen Yu didn’t refuse this time. It was just a nominal title, with no responsibilities. He didn’t mind.

Besides, there was more than one vice president. It was just a title; he had to give the dean this much face.

”Go back and prepare. It shouldn’t be too long. I’ll notify you in a few days,” the dean said, looking at him.

Chen Yu nodded and then left the dean’s office.

...

After going to his new residence, Chen Yu had Sophie clean up a bit, then he went back to his training.

He had already made a breakthrough in his Celestial Destiny Skill and wasn’t far from the 7th Floor of the Celestial Destiny Skill.

Training was only an auxiliary measure, but it was just as important.

To prepare for the Astral Realm, Chen Yu could only wait patiently at the academy.

Time flew by, and a month passed quietly.

Inside an Elite Villa at the Superpower Academy, Chen Yu sat cross-legged on the sofa, his body wreathed in Qi.

A sound like muffled thunder rumbled from within his body.

The vast flow of his blood and vital energy surged like a mighty river.

”HISS—!”

His eyes snapped open as he exhaled a breath of stale air, and then Chen Yu stood up.

’The 7th Floor...’

After a month of arduous training, Chen Yu had finally broken the limits of his Celestial Destiny Skill, breaking through to the 7th Floor.

However, his cultivation level still hadn’t reached Seventh-level Martial Artist; he was stuck at Level 6 Peak.

’A pity. There isn’t enough time. I’ll have to break through in the Astral Realm,’ Chen Yu thought, sensing the Qi within his body.

He was heading to the Astral Realm tomorrow; there wasn’t enough time left.

But breaking through in the Astral Realm wouldn’t be a problem for him.

Sitting on the sofa, Chen Yu used the Celestial Destiny Skill to stabilize his cultivation.

The Celestial Destiny Skill operated on its own. Cultivating the 7th Floor of the Celestial Destiny Skill was a huge leap from the 6th Floor.

Chen Yu estimated that he might be able to break through to become a Seventh-level Martial Artist in another week or two.

The breakthrough from Level 6 to Level 7 was a bit more difficult than he had anticipated.

Still, this rate of progress was already incredibly fast.

”KNOCK KNOCK!!”

Just as Chen Yu was sensing the Qi in his body, a knock suddenly sounded at the door.

Chen Yu looked toward the entrance. His Force Field sense told him a chubby, middle-aged man was standing at the villa’s door.

It was the academy’s Director Ji.

Getting up and walking to the door, Chen Yu opened it. Director Ji looked at Chen Yu and said, ”Chen Yu, it’s time to leave. Come with me now.”

”Leave now? Isn’t it tomorrow?” Chen Yu asked, looking at Director Ji in surprise.

”We’re going to the Capital City to rendezvous first. We’ll head to the Astral Realm directly from there tomorrow,” Director Ji said.

”The entrance to the Astral Realm is in the Capital City?” Chen Yu asked, looking at Director Ji with a surprised expression.

Although he knew the entrance to the Astral Realm was on the Ancestor Star, Chen Yu didn’t know the specific location. He had asked the dean, but the dean hadn’t revealed it.

The entrance to the Astral Realm being in the Capital City was a bit of a surprise to him.

”Mhm,” Director Ji nodded. ”Let’s go. It’s about time.”

”Alright.” Chen Yu nodded, then grabbed a backpack, slung it on, and left the villa.

...

On a clearing in the back mountains of the academy, a silver fighter jet was parked.

This silver fighter jet was only half the size of a normal helicopter.
