My Talent Skill Mutated

”Alright,” Chen Yu nodded.

...

After chatting for over an hour, Chen Yu left the Dean’s office.

Returning to his villa in the residential area, Chen Yu sat on the sofa. He took out the bottle containing the Life Secret Medicine.

Gazing at the golden liquid of the Life Secret Medicine, Chen Yu opened the bottle and sniffed it. There was no particular smell.

’Right, I should have Sophie analyze this.’ Just as he was about to drink it, Chen Yu suddenly remembered something and immediately had Sophie manifest in her human form.

”Scan this and analyze its components!” Chen Yu handed the open bottle of Life Secret Medicine to Sophie.

Sophie nodded, took the Life Secret Medicine, and a beam of light shot from her eyes, scanning the bottle.

Chen Yu sat on the sofa, waiting patiently. After a short while, the light in Sophie’s eyes faded, and she looked at Chen Yu.

”Respected Master, the analysis is complete.”

Chen Yu’s eyes lit up as he looked at Sophie.

A beam of light projected from Sophie’s eyes, and a virtual screen materialized before him. Chen Yu’s gaze fell upon it.

Lines of text appeared.

As he looked at the information, Chen Yu scanned it with a frown.

Sophie’s analysis was comprehensive. Most of the components were known, derived from the essence of rare medicinal herbs, but there was one ingredient that had no explanation.

Special Essence of Life.

This was the only unexplained item.

Moreover, it made up a very high proportion of the ingredients—as much as ninety percent.

From this, it seemed this special Essence of Life was the core of the Life Secret Medicine.

”What’s the meaning of ’special Essence of Life’?” Chen Yu asked Sophie.

Sophie shook her head. ”Apologies, Respected Master. This component cannot be parsed. Sophie can only deduce that it is a special essence refined from a powerful life form, containing an extremely potent Life Force.”

”A special essence refined from a powerful life form...” Hearing Sophie’s words, Chen Yu lowered his head in thought.

’Could this stuff be made from some powerful creature they killed?’

A thought surfaced in Chen Yu’s mind. He looked at the Life Secret Medicine before him, and after a moment of contemplation, he decided to test its effects.

He downed it in one gulp.

A warm torrent swept through his body.

The torrent surged through him, a warm sensation filling his every limb and bone.

It felt very pleasant.

As his Celestial Destiny Skill absorbed it, the Qi within his body rose rapidly.

In just a few moments, Chen Yu had absorbed the entire bottle of Life Secret Medicine, and he could feel the changes in his body.

His body’s vitality and blood flow had grown much stronger.

The increase was significant!

It felt great.

The effects were remarkable.

’This feeling is somewhat similar to physical Evolution.’

Chen Yu clicked his tongue. The boost from the Life Secret Medicine felt similar to physical Evolution, though its effects weren’t nearly as powerful.

But there was still an improvement.

’It would be great if I had enough Life Secret Medicine.’

Chen Yu came back to his senses and sighed.

After absorbing the Life Secret Medicine, he felt the boost was quite good.

Unfortunately, ordinary people couldn’t buy this stuff; it wasn’t available on the market.

Only the Alliance had this kind of secret medicine, and even then, it was extremely rare.

Not only did you need Alliance merit points, but you also had to have a certain member rank.

’I’d better save the rest for an emergency.’

Snapping out of his thoughts, Chen Yu put the remaining Life Secret Medicine away.

There were only ten small bottles in total. He would save them. If he ever ran into danger, this stuff could be a lifesaver.

Using Life Secret Medicine for regular training was out of the question; it was far too extravagant.

...

The time that followed was peaceful.

Chen Yu spent most of his time training at the academy.

He occasionally did missions with Baili Qing and the others, but they didn’t run into any situations like the one before.

The missions were simple and easy to complete.

He no longer had a great need for academic credits.

Chen Yu was more concerned with Alliance missions.

However, suitable Alliance missions weren’t always available.

He could only wait and continue his training.

Time flowed like water from an open floodgate, and two months passed in a flash.

Superpower Academy was also about to go on break.

A two-month vacation.

It was much longer than the break at a typical university.

In those two months, Chen Yu had made significant progress. His Celestial Destiny Skill had advanced to the fifth level, and his cultivation base had consequently broken through to become a Sixth-level Martial Artist.

A Sixth-level Martial Artist was considered to have entered the upper echelons in today’s world.

In his room in the elite residential area, Chen Yu had just finished his training when a call came in.

Tianhai Yoou.

Seeing the call notification, Chen Yu answered.

”Teacher Tianhai, what’s up?”

”The break is coming up, right? Your progress has been very fast, so the academy is considering promoting you ahead of schedule. However, you’ll need to pass an academy assessment first.”

Tianhai Yoou’s voice came from the other end of his watch.

Hearing this, Chen Yu was taken aback.

’An academy assessment?’

”What kind of assessment?” Chen Yu asked, snapping out of his surprise.

”Come to the Dean’s office now. The Dean himself will be in charge of your assessment,” said Tianhai Yoou.

”Alright, I’m on my way.”

Chen Yu replied and ended the call.

He glanced out the window, thought for a moment, then changed his clothes and headed out.

...

「Superpower Academy, Dean’s Office.」

Chen Yu arrived outside the door and knocked.

”Come in.” The Dean’s voice came from within. Chen Yu pushed the door open and walked into the office.

Inside the office, Tianhai Yoou was also present.

”Chen Yu, have a seat,” the Dean said, looking at him.

Chen Yu nodded and sat down on the sofa, his eyes on the Dean.

The Dean signed a few documents at his desk, then stood up, came over, and sat down in front of him.
