My All Powerful System

The transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of the Supreme Blessed Tournament did not feel like a transition into structured competition, it felt like stepping onto a battleground where the rules had already been re written by those holding the chalk.

For Lynx, the week long pause had not been spent pacing the manicured gardens of the host city or lingering in the high end theoretical libraries of the Void Empire’s central district.

It had been spent within the boundless expanse of his Mind World. Over the past several days, and particularly during the quiet lull after Phase 1, Lynx had shaped the vast realm into a functioning world.

It was a domain designed on a scale that mimicked planetary architecture, sprawling mountain ranges that vented actual geothermal heat, vast oceans whose tides obeyed localized gravitational pulls.

Rolling plains of thick, green grass, and silent, towering volcanoes that hummed with subterranean elemental force.

It lacked organic fauna, there were no birds in its skies, no fish in its deep waters, no insects rustling through the undergrowth, but as an environmental canvas, it was complete.

At its center stood the sprawling, dark stone castle built by Nyx, a grand fortress of cold obsidian and silver threaded marble.

Here, away from the prying eyes of people, Lynx spent his days in unhurried luxury with Ava, Kira, Lira, and Ophelia.

It was a space removed from time and pressure, defined by intense physical intimacy, quiet Yin Yang bonding, and the total, unbothered comfort of an inner circle that answered only to him.

Days blurred into nights inside that realm, the outside world feeling distant and irrelevant.

When the week expired, however, the real world reclaimed its priority.

Now, the atmosphere inside the Grand Void Arena was suffocating. The Grand Void Arena was not just a stadium.

It was a statement of imperial power, built over centuries ago by the first Void Emperor.

Its outer walls were made of solid black basalt imported from the northern Void mountains, reinforced with ancient anti mana arrays that prevented any single Blessed from destroying the structure during a rampage.

The arena itself could hold over two hundred thousand spectators, and today, every single seat was filled.

People from all four empires, military generals, academy headmasters except Amelia, spies, rich ladies in jeweled dresses, and common citizens who had saved for months just to buy a standing ticket were all crammed together, shouting, drinking, gambling, and arguing.

The air was thick with the scent of ozone, damp earth, and the dry, metallic tang of condensed mana leaking from tens of thousands of excited spectators.

The tournament layout was designed to handle massive crowds, featuring a high, vaulted stone amphitheater whose tiers rose up into the shadows of the outer structural pillars.

Above the main floor, floating in the air with gravity defying enchantments, were the four boxes representing the four Blessed Academies. Aether, Void, Heather, and Beacon. Each box was protected by its own private barrier.

Directly adjacent to the central stage, elevated just three feet above the dirt floor, sat the designated holding enclosures for the four participating academies.

The surviving thirty five students of Aether Blessed Academy, alongside Lynx who still holds five spots were clustered together in their section, positioned close enough to the stage ramp that any fighter called could walk straight up into the ring without wading through the crowds.

In the higher spectator area, sat Amira and Isabel, flanked by Eira and Emily. From that vantage point, Emily kept her eyes locked on Lynx below, her fingers nervously digging into the wooden railing.

While Isabel casually adjusted her silk sleeves, taking in the full, tense scope of the arena floor. Amira’s gaze was calm but sharp, scanning the Void waiting area for any sign of abnormal activities.

On the floor of the Aether students and professors waiting area, the atmosphere was far from relaxed. The official draw for Phase 2 had been published late the previous Sunday evening.

Following standard protocol, the Aether delegation had gathered in their private quarters to review the brackets and prayed.

The students, along with the professors had offered solemn prayers to the Aether Empire Goddess, Goddess Shiva, offering thanks for surviving the initial qualifiers and asking for strength in the matches ahead.

Lynx had joined them in the circle, standing with a serene, reverent expression that suggested absolute spiritual devotion.

Inside his consciousness, however, his system was practically convulsing with laughter, whispering that his performance was so absurdly convincing he deserved a royal theater award for playing the humble, religious student.

Now, standing before the line of thirty five remaining Aether students was the Professors, Selene, Rose, Henry, Jace, and Mira.

”Look at the bracket again,” Professor Selene commanded, her voice dropping into a low, sharp tone that barely carried over the rising roar of the crowd outside their area.

She held a glowing parchment manuscript containing the official fifty matchups for the Top 100 round. ”Do not convince yourselves that this is random. Void Blessed Academy had thirty students pass Phase 1. Heather Blessed Academy had twenty. Beacon Blessed Academy had ten. We, Aether Blessed Academy, brought forty fighters through to this phase, the largest single contingent on the floor.”

She gestured toward the glowing lines of text on the manuscript, her finger trembling slightly with anger.

”And yet,” Selene continued, her eyes darkening, ”there is not a single match on this board where an Aether student is paired against Beacon or Heather. Not one. Out of our forty fighters, every single one of you has been drawn either against a fellow Aether classmate or directly against a Year 4 student from Void Blessed Academy.”

A ripple of low, agitated murmuring broke out among the Aether students. Some cursed under their breath. Others looked at the parchment as if it had insulted their families.

”They tampered with the array,” Professor Rose said bluntly. She stood with her arms folded across her chest, her dark crimson hair pulled back into a tight braid.

”It’s obvious. Void, Heather, and Beacon don’t need a written treaty to act like a pack of wolves. They saw us bring forty students through Phase 1 while their own students got wiped clean. They are terrified of Aether sweeping the top, so they rigged the draw algorithm to force us into a meat grinder.”

”How can they get away with that?” one of the Year 3 Aether student snapped, his knuckles white against the hilt of his shortsword. ”The tournament committee is supposed to be neutral! There are rules!”

Professor Henry let out a harsh, barking laugh that carried zero humor. ”Neutral? Boy, look around you. Where are we standing? This is the Grand Central Void Arena. The entire executive board of the tournament committee consists of Void diplomats and Heather people. Our own Headmistress didn’t even bother making the trip this year. She stayed back at the capital, watching through her phone. Do you know why?”

Henry leaned forward, his heavy, scarred face darkening. ”Because when your academy gets systematically manipulated and screwed over for ten consecutive years, you lose interest in sitting in the VIP box to smile for the scrying mirrors. We submitted three formal protests to the presiding tribunal before midnight. Do you know what answer they sent back?”

”’It’s just bad luck,’” Professor Mira supplied, her voice dripping with dry venom.

”They claimed the legal shuffling matrix was checked by them and that Aether’s draw was simply ’an unfortunate coincidence of probability.’ It’s complete garbage, but it is the reality we are standing in right now.”

Professor Jace stepped forward, shaking his head with a look of deep frustration. ”And this is precisely why I spent the last four days telling all of you to stay in the training halls and comprehend your affinities more! But what did most of you do? You went sightseeing in the lower district! You went dining at these fancy lounges! You acted like Phase 1 was the final victory!”

Julian Frostborne, standing at six foot three let out a disdainful scoff. ”With all due respect, Professor Jace, you’re making it sound like we’re walking onto an execution block. So what if we draw Void Empire’s Year 4s? We tore through their forward squads in Phase 1. Why should we be afraid of them matching us against their people? If anything, they’re the ones who should be panicking.”

Several of the senior Aether students around Julian nodded in agreement, their pride swelling at his words.

Professor Selene looked at Julian with an expression that bordered on pity. ”Julian,” she said softly, ”you are so hopelessly naive it makes my head ache. You think they matched us against Void because they are stupid?”

She paused, letting the noise of the arena fill the silence before continuing. ”Think about the logic for five seconds. If you control the draw, why would you match your rival empire against their own students AND against your own strongest fighters? There are only two reasons.”
