Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 856: Chapter 655: Unprecedented (Part 1)

Joining Pure Land and becoming one of the 24 Apostles was not a spontaneous decision for Hong Yi.

Upon learning that Lin Feng had already become an Apostle and was about to head to Pure Land, Hong Yi had this idea.

It was not impulsive but a choice made after deep consideration.

After rescuing City 31, the King Becoming Plan was essentially completed.

At this point, the trainees destined to become kings had already done so. Even if there were other plans, they would be more like performances to attract public attention, and the resources would definitely not be as abundant as before.

With Lin Feng about to proceed to Pure Land, the members of the alliance also had different goals and choices, and everyone was going their separate ways. After that, her safety became an issue.

Even living in the Red Flag District, even with protection, it could not provide Hong Yi with much sense of security.

She did not dare to gamble on whether Hong Tao would be intimidated by the strength and potential of the Avengers Alliance, nor did she dare to gamble on whether Hong Tao would go crazy someday.

Nor would she use the lives of teammates as stakes.

Therefore, she needed to find a new backing.

There were few forces that Hong Tao feared, the strongest being Pure Land.

And the only force willing to offend Hong Tao and help her was Pure Land.

Pure Land was her only choice.

As for what kind of organization Pure Land was, Hong Yi was very clear.

It was an organization that disregarded laws, had no concept of good and evil, and made nations worldwide apprehensive.

If she could join it, she would naturally gain protection. She could also quickly improve her power and possess the ability to control her fate, no longer relying on others for protection.

Thus, through some special channels, she contacted Pure Land and expressed her desire to become an Apostle.

As a Spirit Medium, Hong Yi’s body contained the sealed Sha Mi, which possessed power even the Emperor feared.

Many Celestial Kings were interested in Hong Yi, one could even say that all Twelve Celestial Kings were interested in her.

Getting Hong Yi, in a sense, was equivalent to acquiring the combat power of an Emperor.

And such a power was easily controllable.

Who wouldn’t be interested?

Unfortunately, the positions for Apostles were limited. A Celestial King could only have two Apostles.

With no vacant Apostle positions, she could only helplessly give up.

A total of four Celestial Kings expressed interest in Hong Yi and were willing to offer her an Apostle position.

This kind of treatment could be described as unprecedented.

Hong Yi created history among the Apostles.

Lin Feng, with great fame and global attention, had remarkably impressive achievements. Even so, to become an Apostle for Celestial King Hai, he needed to go through evaluations to be one of the five Apostle candidates.

He then had to pass Celestial King Hai’s assessment test to become an Apostle.

As for that assessment test, it was very unfriendly. Even now, Lin Feng was still complaining about it.

The fact that she could directly become an Apostle was enough to prove the favor the Celestial Kings showed towards Hong Yi.

Hong Yi chose Spirit Celestial King because both were Spirit Mediums.

Becoming Spirit Celestial King’s Apostle should allow her to improve her power faster.

Before contacting Pure Land, she couldn’t guarantee success and hence did not inform Lin Feng.

Now it seemed her luck was good.

Not long after, she would be able to meet with Lin Feng.

It was precisely because of Lin Feng’s presence that she made up her mind, gathered the courage to join Pure Land, and felt less lost and fearful in her heart.

Moreover, Hong Yi also wanted to assist Lin Feng.

Hong Yi knew the reason Lin Feng was entering Pure Land.

In Pure Land, Lin Feng would also face dangers.

Back then, it was Lin Feng who saved her from the blaze, restoring her freedom and letting her live like a human.

Now, she also wanted to repay the favor.
