Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 571: Chapter 409: King Becoming Plan_2

Next, Zhang Fadu began to explain what the ”Become a King Plan” is.

As the explanation progressed, the atmosphere on site became somewhat restless.

”Become a King Plan!”

Ye Xing and Yun Tianqi exchanged a glance, excitement and anticipation showing in their expressions, and the others were no exception.

Just what they wanted, exactly what they got!

The plan is simple, as the name suggests, to become a king.

This time, the fusion of the Space Gate in the Land of Chaos prompted caution and concern across the world.

They know that the Divine Martial Continent is about to invade, probably within a decade or so.

If war comes, victory or defeat won’t be decided by numbers but by high-level combat power!

Emperors are a minority and can’t be cultivated, even if possible, it would take decades to start with.

Therefore, the quantity of kings is the primary high-level combat power.

Three or four kings, if working in harmony, can even hunt an emperor.

When the Space Gate in the Land of Chaos fused, countries worldwide held a joint conference to discuss how to address the invasion of the Divine Martial Continent.

Among the most critical plans is the ”Become a King Plan”.

Countries worldwide will jointly invest, gather a group of strong individuals, and cultivate a batch of kings based on the principle of survival of the fittest.

This matter originally had nothing to do with the Glory Alliance.

However, to divert people’s attention, to prevent idle thoughts, they brought in the Glory Alliance for collaboration.

The plan is set, but the specific rules are still unclear; however, it’s certain that this time it’s a major initiative, a hundred times more prominent than the Glory Professional League.

It’s no longer limited to one country and will attract global attention.

Countries worldwide will jointly host and invest, first selecting a batch of trainees, then unifying the venue and instruction, and there will be rare resources as rewards according to tasks or games, and emperors serving as instructors for teaching.

This level of treatment is unprecedented.

The better the treatment, the more intense the competition.

Therefore, the quota for trainees becomes particularly precious.

Countries worldwide will have different numbers of quotas based on their investment ratios.

As one of the five major nations, Hua Country might only have a hundred spots.

But the number of participants will definitely far exceed this number.

Logically, only those at the Ninth Grade have the potential to become kings through this plan, and it’s conservatively estimated there are tens of thousands at this level.

Everyone wants to become a king.

Selecting a hundred from so many isn’t easy.

Because trainees aren’t judged solely on martial strength.

Strong capability is a requirement but not the only one.

This plan is the Become a King Plan, aimed at making someone a king!

Becoming a king is the sole purpose!

Besides the inherent strength, becoming a king also tests talent.

Some prodigies, though young and slightly weaker, perhaps just breaking through the Lingyun Realm, have a better chance of becoming a king compared to older ones stagnating at the Peak of Lingyun.

The Become a King Plan is not short of resources and can rapidly help participants grow.

It’s not all about strength; it also considers talent and growth potential. Multiple selection methods will inevitably lead to a sense of unfairness regardless of the chosen method.

Therefore, there are three ways to compete for quotas.

The first is to buy directly.

This one’s the simplest but not with money, instead with rare resources, like Earth Chart Demon Spirits, Demon Spirits with Divine-Level Soul Skills, or some rare Treasures of Heaven and Earth in exchange for a spot.

Having a quota doesn’t guarantee becoming a king, as the plan follows survival of the fittest, and trainees might leave empty-handed.

However, the rare resources and demon spirits acquired for quota purchases will be openly used on trainees, so no one will feel it’s unfair.

The second way.

Strength is paramount!

Whoever is stronger wins the quota.

This competition method is the most intense and difficult.

The third way is voting.

Through online voting, whoever gets the most votes wins a quota.

It’s about who has more fans, as decision power lies with the entire nation’s netizens.

Specific rules are still being discussed.

But according to Zhang Fadu, netizens can also design trainees’ appearance, like hairstyles and clothing combinations, and sponsors can provide resources to help trainees. Overall, it’s about diverting attention to prevent idle thoughts.

And the second way, the event organization and broadcasting is handled by the Glory Alliance.

The major clubs mainly focus on the idea of the third way of online voting.

As professional players, even if questioned, compared to others, they have advantages in familiarity, strength, talent, and even appearance.

Major clubs are most optimistic about the All-Star Players from the past two seasons who have retired.

Being All-Stars means their talent is unquestionable, and they’re closest to becoming kings, most likely to earn quotas.

Compared to them, this season’s All-Star Players, like Ye Xing, have higher popularity but are much weaker, which is why clubs don’t value them as much.

They should participate in the second session of the ”Become a King Plan”, but regardless of the event, the first session receives the most resources and attention.

As for when or if the second session will be held, it’s still unknown.

Popularity isn’t everything; netizens aren’t fools.

No matter how high the popularity, a comprehensive evaluation is necessary because even as trainee members, not everyone can become a king—every quota is precious, and wasting them is disgraceful.

Admittedly, some All-Star Players from the first three sessions haven’t broken through to kingship, but those individuals are too old with limited potential.

Too many will simply scatter fans, which isn’t beneficial.

”The Become a King Plan requires half a year of preparation; specific rules may change, but probably not significantly. During this period, your clubs will fully support you, from daily training to participating in activities, staying active in the public eye.”

”Cherish this half year, cherish this opportunity; it’s your closest chance to becoming a king!”

”If not for the rule restrictions, even kings would want to be trainees.”

The half-hour meeting quickly concluded, and the major clubs dispersed, with professional players leaving the meeting room, each with their own thoughts.

Compared to Zhao Zhou and others’ excitement, Xie Yixiao and others seemed somewhat dejected.

With just half a year, limited improvement in strength means they’re unlikely to participate in this Become a King Plan.

”Let’s go!”

Ye Xing said to Yun Tianqi.

This time, neither he nor Xie Yixiao was a focus for the clubs.

While online voting has advantages with club support and packaging, not having it doesn’t pose significant problems either.

Under the curious eyes of others, the two quickly disappeared.

They’re eager to inform Lin Feng of this news.

They are determined to secure this quota.

The club executives, seeing this, slightly frowned, seemingly a bit dissatisfied but not paying much heed.
