Martial Dao: Peace by Force

Chapter 123: Chapter 101: My Senior Brother Can Break Your Leg, and So Can I

’I haven’t even made a move, and he dares to strike first?’

’How... utterly foolish!’

”Laughable.” Tong Run squeezed the word from between his teeth, then waved a lazy hand. ”Go, play with him. Be careful not to kill him. Leave him breathing. I still need him alive to bait his senior brother.”

”Yes, Young Master.”

The bodyguard responded in a low voice. His burly frame shot forward with a speed that defied his size, like a savage bear pouncing on its prey!

His right hand splayed open, muscles taut as iron, cutting through the air as he aimed straight for Wan Ze’s throat.

A Throat Locking Skill—vicious, direct, and designed to end the fight in a single move!

But when he saw Wan Ze facing this grab without dodging or evading, still charging straight ahead, the veteran bodyguard who had followed Tong Run for years showed no contempt in his eyes, only confusion.

’Even if you’re looking to die, this isn’t the way to do it!’

However, the instant before they made contact, he suddenly realized something was wrong.

’This is bad!’

At the last possible moment, Wan Ze’s charging figure made an infinitesimal yet perfect deviation, allowing him to narrowly avoid the fatal grab.

At the same time, his right fist, which had been held at his waist, shot out like a furious dragon bursting from the sea.

No fancy moves. Just the simplest, most direct, and most violent of straight punches!

Alarm bells screamed in the bodyguard’s mind. With a furious roar, he threw his hands up to protect his chest, but Wan Ze’s fist still connected. In that instant, he felt all the Power in his body drain away. The bones in his arms shattered, his chest caved in, and his body was sent flying backward.

CRASH!

The bodyguard’s body slammed viciously into the side door of the SUV Tong Run was in.

The door instantly caved inward, forming a horrifying, man-shaped crater, and the bulletproof glass shattered on impact.

The massive impact sent the entire vehicle lurching violently to one side. Its four wheels even lifted briefly off the ground before crashing back down!

”AHHH!!!”

Inside the car, Tong Run was caught completely off guard. His broken leg, still in its cast, was slammed hard against the violently shaking car frame, and the intense pain made him let out a blood-curdling shriek like a pig being slaughtered.

However, the scream lasted only half a second.

The next moment, Tong Run looked up in terror, meeting Wan Ze’s calm, emotionless eyes.

”You...”

He only managed to spit out that single word before a hand grabbed him by the collar and dragged him, like a dead dog, right out of the mangled car frame...

He was lifted into the air and slammed onto the ground.

Then, Wan Ze stomped down hard.

CRACK!

Tong Run’s other leg snapped completely. He immediately let out a pig-like squeal, curling up in agony as tears and snot streamed down his face.

From the moment the bodyguard attacked to Tong Run having his other leg crippled, only a few breaths had passed. It was all too fast for anyone to react.

Wan Ze slowly retracted his foot, even having the leisure to lightly dust off his sleeve as if nothing out of the ordinary had just happened.

He looked down at Tong Run and said, word by word:

”My senior brother could break one of your legs, and so can I. Got it?”

”You... you...”

Tong Run trembled all over, his face deathly pale. His gaze toward Wan Ze was filled with terror and disbelief.

Born into wealth, he was used to crushing everything with money and power. He lacked any real reverence for so-called experts of the Martial Dao, always thinking of them as nothing more than High Level thugs who could be bought.

He especially thought little of a rookie like Wan Ze.

It was only now that reality had taught him an unforgettable lesson in the most direct way possible.

In the face of absolute Power, the family background he was so proud of was as fragile as paper.

He even temporarily forgot the excruciating pain from his legs, a pain so intense it threatened to tear his consciousness apart, as he stared blankly at Wan Ze’s departing back.

All of his previous arrogance was gone.

”Wan Ze, aren’t you afraid of the Tong Family’s retaliation?”

Wan Ze stopped but tossed a question over his shoulder. ”How does your Tong Family compare to the Song Family? Even they didn’t dare. Does your Tong Family?”

Tong Run fell completely silent.

He realized he had made a colossal mistake, one that could drag the entire Tong Family down with him!

The Zhai Family had always been at odds with his Tong Family, but it was limited to just that.

But if Dragon Eagle got involved, the meaning would be entirely different!

The realization hit him with such a surge of panic and rage that he fainted on the spot.

...

”Should we... maybe just run?”

Miss Ling’s voice was soft and timid.

To be honest, she still hadn’t recovered from the shock. Her mind was a complete blank.

From the near-car-accident to its instigator, Tong Run, having his leg broken by Wan Ze with such ruthless efficiency... it had all happened too fast.

So fast that it was beyond her comprehension.

Although Miss Ling didn’t know Tong Run’s specific background, she recognized the car... She knew it wasn’t the kind of vehicle an ordinary person could afford. Combined with the implications of what she’d just heard Tong Run say, how could she not understand that he came from an extraordinary background and was not to be trifled with?

’It’s just...’

’Would running even help?’

’Their influence in a place like An City is probably Deeply Rooted.’

The moment Wan Ze had attacked, he’d had no intention of running away afterward.

The Tong Family was indeed powerful.

But the Song Family, who were even more powerful than the Tong Family, didn’t dare so much as fart in front of his master.

If he ran now, the Tong Family would only think he was scared and guilty, which might lead to even more trouble down the line.

It was better to stay and face them openly.

He wanted to see if the Tong Family had the guts to retaliate recklessly, knowing full well he was a direct disciple of the Dragon Eagle Martial Arts Hall.

Besides, Tong Run was the one who started the provocation today!

”Don’t worry, it’s fine,” Wan Ze said reassuringly, glancing at the time on his communicator. ”Let’s find a place to eat first. We’ll head back after.”

Seeing how calm he was, Miss Ling breathed a small sigh of relief, though she still timidly glanced at the rearview mirror a few times.
