Longevity through Upgrading Buildings

Chapter 386: Chapter 201: Another Departed Old Friend

After everyone returned to the Water Dragon Sect, they dispersed one by one.

Even Ji Yuan was no exception.

Currently, the most urgent task for the Water Dragon Sect was to quickly convene the Elder Council to discuss this matter, and then arrange for the Golden Core Elders to investigate the spirit veins.

Therefore, the promised reward for Ji Yuan naturally had to be delayed.

Fortunately, Ji Yuan was not in a hurry.

After bidding farewell to the others, Ji Yuan first sent a communication to Phoenix Peach, receiving no response.

It seemed Hua Yaoyue had already taken her to break through.

Since he was already at the sect, Ji Yuan decided to make his way back to Wuyou Island first. Before he even returned, he noticed a flying boat skimming over the lake surface, heading into Fox Moon Island.

’Is Dong Qian back?’

Ji Yuan thought to himself, realizing he hadn’t seen her in quite a while and had no pressing matters, so he took out Dong Qian’s Communication Talisman and left a spiritual thought within it.

Seeing that Dong Qian was apparently home, Ji Yuan still had to wait a while before receiving a reply.

He thought about it and decided not to rush to Fox Moon Island.

Instead, he first returned to Wuyou Island to inspect it thoroughly.

During the years Ji Yuan had been away, he had left the corpse puppet Chusan on the island; since he was absent, no outsiders visited, so he let Chusan transform the island.

Over the years, the once robust Chusan had become somewhat emaciated.

Though a corpse puppet could survive without eating or drinking, without the nourishment of yin energy, its physique would wither somewhat... Hmm, it must be due to the lack of yin energy, having nothing to do with his exploitation.

Besides, he only gave him a job, how could it be considered exploitation?

Nonetheless, Ji Yuan planned to take Chusan back to Mist Island next time and send him into the [Chaotic Burial Mound] to replenish his hollow body with yin energy.

The entire island had, in fact, been mostly transformed.

Ji Yuan had requested a three-entry courtyard, and through the construction of dividing walls, several sections of the island had been demarcated.

There was a breeding area, a spirit field area, and a special [Fish Pond].

The other facilities, such as the [Talisman Room] and [Alchemy Room], Ji Yuan had arranged in the courtyard, and besides these, he’d set aside another courtyard next to the main one.

This was for the soon-to-be-opened [Artifact Refining Room].

For the Artifact Refining Room, the Earth Vein Fire had to be led in. Reportedly, this required finding Sect Leader Master Xuan Shui to obtain permission, then communicating with the Four Directions Island to ask the Artifact Hall people to come and channel the fire, thus completing the process.

After some time, Ji Yuan went to the highest point on Wuyou Island.

A pine tree had been planted there, for which he had specially purchased some spirit liquid for nurturing spirit plants from Bai Piao to aid in its rapid growth.

Thus, within a few short years, the pine had grown into a towering tree.

Ji Yuan had Chusan arrange a tea table under the pine, making it an excellent spot for viewing and brewing tea when idle.

With great changes imminent, Ji Yuan naturally needed to schedule retreating to the Water Dragon Sect.

After inspecting Wuyou Island, Ji Yuan proceeded to Fox Moon Island.

”It has indeed been a long time since I last saw you, junior brother.”

Dong Qian still had that unhurried demeanor. Even when serving Ji Yuan tea, she appeared somewhat languid.

”There was no choice, I’ve been running around outside.”

Ji Yuan took the tea handed to him, and whether intentionally or unintentionally, their fingers brushed lightly.

He instinctively withdrew his hand, but Dong Qian seemed not to notice.

”Has Senior Sister’s duty ended at Maple City?”

”Not yet, I took leave to come back. I’ve refined quite a few elixirs over there, taking this trip back to place them in the shop for sale.”

”Oh?”

Ji Yuan’s eyes lit up, ”Where is Senior Sister’s shop located? Last time I returned, I wanted to have a look but did not encounter Senior Sister.”

Dong Qian smiled charmingly, her eyes conveying allure.

”This time it’s just right, I’ll take junior brother to have a look.”

”Then I’ll trouble Senior Sister.”

Ji Yuan did not stand on ceremony. If the shop was suitable, in the future, he could take the elixirs and talismans he refined there for sale, saving himself the constant running around.

Of course, this premise was based on Dong Qian’s reliability.

If it were someone else’s shop, Ji Yuan wouldn’t trust it.

Half a day later.

Ji Yuan arrived at All Things Island.

Standing in front of a shop, Ji Yuan raised his head slightly, surveying the surroundings. He knew that Dong Qian had indeed chosen this shop.

For its location was not conspicuous, not near the Hundred Treasures Tower, nor those main thoroughfares.

It wasn’t located in any ”CBD” area.

Additionally, while the storefront did not appear large, upon entering, one would find, there was more to it than met the eye.

This single storefront equaled two of others’ combined.

As soon as Dong Qian entered, the Qi Cultivation Stage female cultivator on duty greeted her with a smile, taking her arm, ”Senior Sister Dong, you’re inspecting again? Don’t worry, I’ve been working diligently.”

Dong Qian smiled, ”I brought my junior brother over to have a look.”

Upon hearing this, the female cultivator quickly released her grip, saluting Ji Yuan, ”Junior Stone Xiuer greets Martial Uncle.”

”No need for formalities.”

Ji Yuan gestured with his hand, then began to survey the interior of the shop.

Dong Qian’s shop was called ”Myriad Medicine Shop,” and the name itself suggested it mostly dealt in elixirs, which was indeed the case; two-thirds of the shop space was dedicated to elixirs.

The remaining third of the space sold a few first-order talismans, or spirit grass herbs and other miscellaneous items.

Overall, the shop was more spacious, and the variety of goods wasn’t extensive... as it mainly relied on Dong Qian to supply the elixirs, the shop appeared relatively quiet.
