Longevity through Upgrading Buildings

Chapter 241: Chapter 152: The Benefits of Having a Sect

Moreover, Ji Yuan spent a whole year in seclusion this time, and since his cultivation has reached the Foundation Establishment Stage, there are naturally many matters to handle.

After the trio left Wan You Island, Ji Yuan glanced back at the island.

In the future, I estimate that I will have to come here often, so I better remember this place well, otherwise, it would be embarrassing not to find the island where my mentor resides.

”Junior Brother, why not come to my Tian Shu Island for a visit?”

Yun Qianzai extended an invitation again.

Ji Yuan smiled, ”I’ve just had a breakthrough and haven’t even returned home before coming here to Master. I should first return to Chulong Island to talk more, or wait until the island opens, then I will come and discuss the array with Senior Brother.”

”That’s fine, Junior Brother, you handle your affairs first. If there is anything, just let me know anytime.”

As Yun Qianzai spoke, he handed over his Communication Talisman.

Ji Yuan had always kept Phoenix Peach’s Communication Talisman.

Then, the three of them continued to chat for quite some time. Phoenix Peach and Yun Qianzai advised Ji Yuan on many matters regarding the Foundation Establishment Stage and specified the locations of their islands.

Both of them asked Ji Yuan to choose a location near them when he opens his island.

The three talked for over an hour before Yun Qianzai bade farewell.

After he left, Phoenix Peach whispered, ”Junior Brother, knowing Second Senior Brother’s character, discussing arrays is minor. I suspect he is more likely to show off his arrays in front of you. Be mindful when you visit him.”

That sounds just right, it’s almost what I expected... Ji Yuan slightly nodded, ”Okay, thank you, Third Senior Sister, for the tip.”

”Hmm... Second Senior Brother’s character is actually good; besides loving to show off, he has no other flaws.”

Phoenix Peach nodded, saying, ”He likes to show off his looks, and he also likes to show off his strength.”

It’s just his love for flaunting, understandable, understandable.

Ji Yuan couldn’t find the words to continue, so he just smiled and then took his leave.

Having just made a breakthrough, he naturally still rode the Scarlet Skies Skiff issued by the sect. In some time, he will be able to put away the Scarlet Skies Skiff and switch to the Thunder Falcon Boat.

At least, that is how it will be in the sect.

After reaching the Foundation Establishment Stage, if one still rides the Scarlet Skies Skiff, a top-grade Magical Artifact level Flying Boat, it’s needless to say, other Foundation Establishment Cultivators would see you as a pretentious person, too flashy.

But if it were replaced with a supreme Magical Artifact level Flying Boat, one would be just like everyone else.

In this light, it’s time to upgrade the Flying Boat used for escape. The previously used low-grade Spiritual Artifact level Sky Raider was fine for regular use but not for escaping... Ji Yuan planned to purchase a mid-grade Spiritual Artifact or even a top-grade Spiritual Artifact level Flying Boat.

After all, Flying Boats can be powered by Spirit Stones and do not solely rely on one’s own Spiritual Qi.

Even a top-grade Spiritual Artifact can be easily activated.

As he pondered, Ji Yuan headed west all the way, directly toward Chulong Island.

First, he indeed needed to go back to gather his belongings. After organizing, he had to return the residence proof to Chulong Hall.

After all, having become a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, he will be able to establish his own island in the future.

Secondly, Ji Yuan was thinking about the inscriptions left in the backyard; since those before him left theirs, he has to leave something as well, along with leaving some fortune inside the house.

When he first moved into that house, he benefited from the kindness left by his predecessors, so naturally, he should leave fortune for those who come after.

He estimated that once he was done with the busy work back home, he would be summoned formally by Sect Leader Master Xuan Shui to the main island, choose a location for his island, and be busy with setting it up.

Once the island is established... there will be even more things to do.

He has to cultivate the ”Concealing Breath Spell”, and then there’s the Tier Two body technique ”Shadow Step” acquired from Mist Island, along with numerous constructions that need upgrading.

After thinking all the way, when Ji Yuan returned to Chulong Island again, it was already dusk.

Fortunately, he was not in a hurry.

As he passed by Du Wanyi’s courtyard, he took an extra look; the door remained tightly shut.

The person who went to Nine Nether Cave Heaven hadn’t returned, or... it’s uncertain whether she would ever return.

Ji Yuan paused slightly, but eventually didn’t stop.

The path of cultivation is inherently like this; as Du Wanyi went to Nine Nether Cave Heaven, whatever he could do, he already did; if she really died inside there,

Ji Yuan could do nothing about it and felt no remorse.

After returning to his new house, Ji Yuan released his Divine Sense for a sweep inside and out, ensuring that this time there were absolutely no issues.

The two peach trees in the front courtyard were still there. This year, Ji Yuan, while in seclusion, didn’t eat a single peach; they all fell to the ground and rotted, leaving a field of seedlings.

After walking from the front yard to the backyard, Ji Yuan collected the things he had left in the house merely for appearances.

There weren’t many to begin with.

N next, he had to leave some fortune, and Ji Yuan had already figured this out on his way back; leaving Spirit Stone Elixirs was obviously not ideal.

Who knows whether it would be taken by future inhabitants or by people from Chulong Hall.

So, instead... Ji Yuan planned to leave behind the formula for the Foundation Establishment Pill.

The next resident would surely be a newcomer; knowing this formula early would help prepare for the Foundation Establishment early.

At least securing an initial advantage.

Otherwise, after joining the sect, they would spend a lot of effort to acquire the Foundation Establishment Pill formula.

Ji Yuan went to the backyard wall, looking at the text left by the predecessors. It was impossible not to feel emotional, whether it be the Daoist Qingpin, who never achieved Foundation Establishment in his lifetime.

Or the predecessor full of spirit who eventually returned to dust.

Or the third owner of this house, Phoenix Peach, who succeeded in Foundation Establishment.

Ji Yuan looked for a long time and thought of the difficult journey he’s taken.

From when he first transmigrated, unable to even afford the Immortal Residence fee in Zengtou City to later encountering the incident with Liu Laizi... Despite being extremely cautious, he repeatedly found himself in dangerous situations in Cloud Rain Marsh.

However, the cultivation path is often like this. Compared to others, with the architectural panel on his side, things were already much better for him.

With this, what text should be left here?

This question also occupied Ji Yuan’s mind along his journey.

Upon reaching this point in thought, his heart called out the Purple Lightning Flying Sword, leaving two lines of text on the stone wall.

After finishing this task, he placed the Foundation Establishment Pill formula on the stone wall, using a restriction to fix and conceal it.

When future inhabitants read the text here, if they stay for more than three breaths, the Foundation Establishment Pill formula will naturally appear.

Given it’s a left-behind fortune, it should somewhat have an element of fortune.

Consider it a small Easter egg left behind by himself.

By the next day, as Ji Yuan waited on Chulong Island, he suddenly received Master Xuan Shui’s summons.

As the sect leader, it was time to formally summon Ji Yuan, this Foundation Establishment cultivator.

With this thought, Ji Yuan took one last look at this courtyard, then closed the door and left.

He first went to Chulong Hall to return the residence proof, then rode his Flying Boat directly to the main island.

After he left, Chulong Island’s Courtyard No.18 was desolate and quiet, with only the two lines of text he left and bits of stone dust lingering.

The first line of the text reads: ”Burn the mortal body to refine this self, finally to become a Foundation Establishment soul atop the mountain. Don’t say the immortal path has no return, for this life often buries the living.”

The rest had a small line of text.

”This Cave Mansion was once destroyed by my hands, and later rebuilt, thus I achieved Foundation Establishment, hence all the text you see were replicated and left by me.”
