Longevity Begins From Raising Disciples

”Ouch... This Instructor Chen really goes overboard.”

A young boy grimaced, pointing at his swollen eye socket,

”What kind of instructor actually lays hands on disciples... I’ve suffered more in this period than in my whole sixteen years before.”

”Exactly... Oh well, with the war situation so tense lately, the sect is being ruthless, probably no one can control Instructor Chen now.”

Another disciple looked worried.

During the two months Chen Ye has been the instructor, the Lingyin Sect has already had several battles with the Emotion Crossing Sect.

Even the Golden Core Elders have suffered more or less injuries, not to mention figures like the Peak Masters, with no less than ten casualties.

But fortunately,

Just recently, after True Man Ye intervened, the Ten Thousand Puppet Sect was intimidated by the Refining God Sect’s power and dared not continue colluding with the Demon Path.

Therefore, in one-on-one situations, Lingyin Sect and Emotion Crossing Sect have had their victories and defeats, temporarily driving the Demon Cultivators out of the Lingyin Mountain range.

”Hush! What do you know!”

Before the words finished, a delicate shout suddenly interrupted him.

A pretty girl with baby fat on her little face came over, holding a long sword.

She glared at the complaining disciple, hands on her hips, looking exasperated:

”Instructor Chen is saving your life! If you ever encounter Demon Cultivators, do you think they would care about going overboard?”

”But...” The young boy shrank his neck, ”Junior Sister Zhao, weren’t you also scared to tears by the instructor back then? How come now...”

”That... that was because I was childish before!”

Zhao Yuanyuan blushed, fidgeting a little,

”Now I understand Instructor Chen’s intentions... Look, not only is the instructor good-looking, but he’s also incredibly skilled. Just recently, he took first place in the sect’s internal evaluation!”

The internal evaluation she referred to targeted Guardian Chen Ye, whose abilities were limited to the early period of Foundation Establishment.

Chen Ye had no intention of holding back, easily taking first place, once again stirring up heated discussions within the sect.

Although the previous incident where Chen Ye killed Mei Suxin had already made the Lingyin Sect cultivators not dare underestimate this former Spirit Plant Cultivator.

Yet, the incident of killing Mei Suxin was only hearsay, naturally not as intuitive as seeing Chen Ye publicly outshine others.

Even the Great Elder personally commented, stating that Chen Ye’s potential might allow him to reach the late period of Foundation Establishment, becoming a major pillar of the sect in the future.

”Besides! As long as it’s not during classes, Guardian Chen is actually a very nice person...”

As she said this, Zhao Yuanyuan’s face grew redder, and her voice became much softer.

Previously... she had caused some trouble for Instructor Chen privately, but he never got angry, instead calmly reasoning with her like a kind big brother.

After coming back to her senses from her indignation, she realized for the first time that Instructor Chen was an excellent person.

Especially when he sternly reprimanded disciples, he looked so imposing!

Moreover... She couldn’t help admitting, Instructor Chen really was good-looking.

He usually kept a low profile, concealing his qi, but during evaluations, he went all out, making it hard to keep a low profile any longer.

If she had to describe it, Zhao Yuanyuan wouldn’t know how... In short, everything tended towards perfection!

The little girl’s face gradually darkened.

What’s wrong with these people, are they all sick?

Especially Zhao Yuanyuan!

Getting so enamored even after the master beat her like that.

Qing Jun couldn’t help but interject: ”Oh, actually, I don’t think the master is that good! He just likes bullying kids! At home, he beats the disciples every day!”

That’s precisely how it is.

The master knocks on her head daily!

Qing Jun suspected her growth was stunted because of the master’s knocks!

Zhao Yuanyuan sighed enviously:

”Junior Sister Xu, you’re showing off again!”

She also wanted to be sternly guided by Instructor Chen!

”Exactly, exactly!”

Another female disciple joined in,

”I heard yesterday that Senior Sister Zhang was kept behind by the instructor again, and when she came out, her eyes were red. Tsk tsk, the instructor really looks after Senior Sister Zhang, huh?”

”Of course, Senior Sister Zhang is the Fourth Elder’s daughter, the instructor must be extra attentive.”

The group of female disciples chattered, and the topic quickly shifted from Chen Ye to Zhang Chuxi.

Listening to their discussions, Qing Jun’s face crumpled like a bun.

Have these people gone mad?

The master is clearly just a big bully!

”Hmph! I’m not talking to you anymore! A bunch of idiots!”

Qing Jun stomped her foot angrily.

...

Meanwhile, inside a side hall.

”Clap!”

The crisp sound of a ruler echoed through the vast hall.

”Ah!”

Zhang Chuxi cried out in pain, tears instantly welling up.

She knelt on a meditation cushion, her left hand stretched out in front, her small hand flushed red.

”This is the fifth strike, punishment for your impatience and flashy but impractical techniques.”

Chen Ye, expressionless, put away the ruler,

”Zhang Chuxi, you are the daughter of the Fourth Elder and have an exceptional innate talent. Yet look at yourself now, you can’t even master basic sword techniques, let alone discuss actual combat.”

”I... I didn’t...”

Zhang Chuxi felt deeply aggrieved.

She had been trying really hard!

Over the past month, she had been rising earlier than the chickens and sleeping later than the dogs just to avoid embarrassment in front of this man.

However, no matter what she did, Chen Ye always managed to find faults.

”Still daring to talk back?” Chen Ye’s face turned stern.

”Instructor, Chuxi was wrong...”

After the training in this period, seeing Chen Ye’s serious face already made Zhang Chuxi start feeling scared.

Or rather, even the slightest displeasure on Chen Ye’s face made her legs begin to tremble.

Chen Ye sighed silently in his heart.

Truthfully, he didn’t want to be like this either.

But the Fourth Elder had taken time out of his busy schedule to visit him, especially appointing Chen Ye to strictly train Zhang Chuxi.

Chen Ye’s anger had already subsided, but due to the elder’s delegation, he had no choice but to continue.

Additionally, over the past two months, Zhang Chuxi’s cultivation had progressed rapidly, unexpectedly reaching the Qi Cultivation Ninth Layer.

In the eyes of the Fourth Elder, he only assumed that Chen Ye’s guidance was effective, unaware of how much Zhang Chuxi had suffered under him.

”Tsk... Bai Susu, why did you have to speak well of me to the Fourth Elder!”

Chen Ye sighed inwardly.

Of course, he didn’t blame Bai Susu.

During the last guardian evaluation, she had hinted at him to stand out, allowing the sect to see his potential, ensuring he wouldn’t be sent to the frontlines to die.

Seeing the trembling pretty girl in front of him, Chen Ye felt some pity and said mildly, ”Stretch out your hand.”

”Okay...”

Zhang Chuxi’s eyelashes trembled slightly. She knew what Chen Ye was about to do and, enduring her shyness, extended her small hand.

The man gently grasped it, a pale blue light coursing through it, and in no time, her pain vanished.

”Damn it, here it comes again...”

Chen Ye furrowed his brows, letting out a low growl, and waved his hand irritably,

”Alright, today’s lesson is over, you may leave.”

”...”

Zhang Chuxi swallowed hard, her heart pounding.

Is it... starting again?

”Not leaving yet?”

Chen Ye glanced suspiciously at the girl before him. She sat limply on the cushion, her straight legs pressed together, her head lowered, but he could see her profile blushing, the redness extending down her fair neck.

It was just a handshake, no reason to be so shy, right?

Zhang Chuxi snapped out of her daze, hurriedly gathering her things, her voice flustered: ”Chuxi understands, Chuxi will take her leave now...”

Was this girl up to something naughty again?

Chen Ye was puzzled, but right now, he didn’t have time to ponder Zhang Chuxi’s thoughts.

Soon... that little demoness would come to trouble him!

Meanwhile, Zhang Chuxi’s mind drifted back to an incident from ten days ago.

At that time,

She persistently went to complain to Sister Bai, showing her swollen hand.

Sister Bai was heartbroken, grabbing her hand with anger and promising to avenge her!

Afterwards,

She was instructed to hide in the corner of the Dao Hall and watch as Chen Ye was tormented.

Zhang Chuxi, ecstatic with anticipation, hid in the shadows of the Dao Hall, eager to see the usually stern and ruthless Instructor Chen being worn down to the brink of endurance.

But...

How come this brink of endurance felt a little off?!

Yet seeing Instructor Chen being tormented to the point of begging for mercy, it had a kind of thrilling contrast...
