Let’s Squander A Billion First!

Chapter 2025: Chapter 2025: Loyal Hound Bodyguard (33)

Shi Yi’s gaze met Chuzheng’s, the river wind passing between them, sweeping the wild grass on the shore.

Does he like her?

He does.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t care so much about her, wouldn’t have those thoughts he shouldn’t have.

Shi Yi released one hand holding the sword, placing it on the back of Chuzheng’s hand: ”Miss Yann, do you really not mind what kind of person I am?”

A person like him...

She doesn’t understand at all.

In his heart lives a demon even he doesn’t understand, growing recklessly in the dead of night.

The people around her should have clean minds and backgrounds.

Not someone like him...

”Hmm. I don’t mind.” Chuzheng nodded seriously.

Shi Yi’s eyes changed slightly, feeling his throat tighten: ”Then... what if I want to kill you?”

”Why would you want to kill me?” Did I do something wrong? You want to kill me!

”Miss Yann, I’m just asking if.”

Chuzheng fell silent: ”Then I...” might as well let you kill me.

[Sister, think carefully before you speak.] Chuzheng’s words were interrupted by the King’s Account.

Chuzheng: ”...” Bastard, are you a pervert! You’re spying even at a time like this?

[???] How am I spying? It’s clearly you thinking all these strange things!!

”Miss Yann?”

Chuzheng’s eyelids drooped slightly, suddenly lowering her head.

In the moment Shi Yi was in a daze, the girl’s voice rang in his ear: ”As you wish.” If you can kill me, I’ll admit defeat!!

As he wishes?

After a long pause, Shi Yi’s resistant posture clearly softened and finally responded vaguely.

He really does like her so much.

Wants to have her...

But he doesn’t dare.

He’s even afraid that if he touches her, she’ll vanish like water, moon, mirror, and flowers, without a trace.

-

If Shi Yi hadn’t stopped, he felt he would have confessed in this wilderness.

Shi Yi arranged his clothes, took up his sword, and jumped off the rock.

Chuzheng sat on the rock, her elbow resting on a bent knee, a rather commanding posture, looking slightly upwards at the man slightly taller than her.

The latter unnaturally glanced away, reaching out to Chuzheng: ”Miss Yann, aren’t you leaving?”

”Are you going back with me?”

”...” Shi Yi prepared to withdraw his hand: ”If Miss Yann doesn’t want to leave, then I’ll take my leave first.”

His hand was intercepted mid-air, and the girl used his strength to stand up, her height suddenly surpassing him by a bit.

Shi Yi now needed to look up at her.

Chuzheng bent down and gently pecked him on the corner of his lips: ”Let’s go home.”

Shi Yi’s lips moved, but he said nothing in the end, supporting Chuzheng down from the rock.

Initially intending to let go of Chuzheng, he found himself held tightly by her instead.

”Miss Yann...”

”What?”

”Could you let go of me?”

Chuzheng first put a hat on Shi Yi: ”Do you despise me?”

”I don’t, I just...” Shi Yi hesitated: ”I just...”

Chuzheng narrowed her eyes, fiercely looking at him: ”Just what?”

”N-nothing.” Shi Yi shook his head, allowing Chuzheng to hold his hand.

After walking a distance, Shi Yi suddenly asked: ”Miss, how did you get here?”

”Walked here.” What, should I have flown?!

Shi Yi: ”It’s very far from the city...”

Chuzheng: ”Yeah, why did you run so far?”

Shi Yi: ”...”

He planned to leave; shouldn’t he walk far enough?

”Miss, let me carry you?” Shi Yi took two steps forward, squatting in front of Chuzheng: ”It’s very far.”

”No need.” Chuzheng refused so straightforwardly.

Shi Yi seemed a bit at a loss, frozen there.

Just as he was about to stand up, Chuzheng suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck, lying on his back: ”Let’s go.”

The latter’s tone was casual as if she never rejected him in the first place.

-

Chuzheng and Shi Yi returned together, surprising Ying Xiang yet feeling natural, scratching her head, not knowing why she thought so.

As Chuzheng entered the room, Ying Xiang approached Shi Yi, quietly asking: ”Young Master Shi Yi... did Miss do anything strange to you?”

After all, Miss did say she would break Young Master Shi Yi’s leg!

Young Master Shi Yi’s leg is perfectly fine, so maybe it’s...

”...” Strange? What counts as strange? ”No.”

”Oh.” Ying Xiang clutched her little heart: ”Then please don’t anger Miss again, I’m afraid she really will...” do something to you, Miss is really fierce!

”Really what?”

”Ying Xiang.” Chuzheng’s voice came from the room.

Ying Xiang quickly responded, shaking her head and waving at Shi Yi: ”Nothing, nothing, I’ll go in first.”

Shi Yi stood for a moment before opening his room’s door and going in.

The room was as it was when he left, Shi Yi sighed inwardly, deciding to leave yet ultimately returning.

After Shi Yi returned, Ying Xiang noticed Chuzheng was clearly in a much better mood, previously always in a low mood, making it hard to breathe.

Moreover, Ying Xiang noticed Shi Yi reverted to calling her Miss again.

The title Miss Yann was too formally distant, but it also indicated not much hierarchical difference between Shi Yi and Chuzheng.

But Miss is different...

Ah, ultimately, it’s beauty that hindered Miss!

As Ying Xiang was thinking this, she saw the lead of beauty approaching from the other side, elegant in demeanor, beautiful in appearance, such a beauty.

Ying Xiang lowered her head: ”Young Master Shi Yi.”

”For Miss?”

”Yes.”

”I’ll take it.”

”...Alright.” Ying Xiang handed the item to Shi Yi: ”These days, Miss hasn’t been feeling well, Young Master Shi Yi must ensure Miss drinks it all, watch her drink it!”

Ying Xiang instructed Shi Yi.

Shi Yi, somewhat puzzled, nodded nonetheless.

Shi Yi knocked and entered, discovering several others in the room. He paused, pondering whether to leave, but saw the person at the head beckoning to him.

No choice, Shi Yi carried the item over.

”Miss.”

”Why are you the one delivering it?”

Everyone’s gaze settled on him, some curious, some inquisitive, some vigilant... Shi Yi braced himself: ”Does Miss not want me to deliver it?”

”No.” Chuzheng’s expression unchanged: ”You sit for a while.”

”Miss, I’ll step out first...”

”Sit down.”

Shi Yi: ”...”

Shi Yi intended to sit to the side, but Chuzheng gestured to the spot beside her.

”Miss, this is inappropriate.”

Chuzheng, propping her chin with her palm, spoke in a light tone, whether threatening or reminding: ”Shi Yi, if you don’t sit, others will want to; think it over.”

Shi Yi: ”...”

Shi Yi’s hand clenched and unclenched, finally sitting next to Chuzheng under pressure.

Chuzheng contentedly shifted her gaze to the others: ”As you all can see, you need not concern yourself with the people around me. I will overlook this as a first offense this time; if it happens again, don’t blame me for being unkind.”
