Let’s Squander A Billion First!

Chapter 1936: Chapter 1936: Mirror World (13)

”Although the connection between us is somewhat special now, we essentially have nothing to do with each other.” Cheng Mu paused, ”So you can’t restrain me.”

Chuzheng didn’t know whether she was angry or found the young man in the mirror funny, there was silence for a moment.

In the end, she just pointed at the young man’s forehead through the mirror with her hand.

Chuzheng erased the words and started doing her own thing.

Cheng Mu saw the handwriting disappear, waited a minute, called out tentatively. Not getting a response, he called out again, unwilling to give up.

Chuzheng ignored him completely.

Cheng Mu was probably mad too, he took out the paper from his backpack and walked out of the mirror’s range.

After some time, Cheng Mu’s voice came from the other side, ”I’ve done what you asked me to do.”

Chuzheng paused her writing, but in the next second, her pen flowed smoothly again, sketching the patterns on the hem of a skirt.

Seeing Chuzheng not react, Cheng Mu finally hesitantly carried the paper over.

”Are you angry?”

”There’s a difference between males and females, how can you look at my... body.”

His brow furrowed slightly, his dark eyes showing a bit of conflict, perhaps not wanting that person from the future to ignore him, but also unwilling to relent due to youthful pride.

Chuzheng twirled the pen once, making up her mind to play big during the light turn of her eyes.

——I’ve already seen it.

Chuzheng watched as the young man’s face in the mirror drastically changed, then blushed, all the way to the base of his ears.

He didn’t even know when she could see him.

Previously in his own room, he’d had times where he wore absolutely nothing!!

Cheng Mu felt a mix of frustration and shame deep inside.

Why is it that only she can see him!!

The more Cheng Mu thought about it, the angrier he got, and he slammed the door on his way out.

Chuzheng chased her card away in anger, blinked her eyes a few times, and went out to eat as if nothing happened.

After finishing her meal, she got an urgent phone call from Dai Mi calling her to deal with company matters, she initially thought the company was going to close down, but it turned out to be just a minor issue.

So angry that Chuzheng wanted to dock Dai Mi’s salary.

But after thinking it through, docking the salary wouldn’t work, so Chuzheng came up with another idea.

”If you bother me with such trivial matters in the future, I’ll give your sworn enemy a raise instead.”

Dai Mi: ”...”

What, boss you can dock my salary, but why give my sworn enemy a raise?! What kind of devilish punishment is this!!

No way, why is President Yuk so gossipy, knowing he has a sworn enemy?!

”President Yuk, this...”

”Do you have any objections?”

”President Yuk, I think...”

”I’ll give your sworn enemy double the raise.”

Dai Mi almost choked: ”President Yuk, this...”

”Three times.”

”I...”

”Four times.”

Dai Mi took a deep breath, smiled, and said, ”President Yuk, the design drawings you gave before, the finished product is out now, would you like to take a look?”

Well, since I’m already here...

”Let’s see.”

Dai Mi immediately made a ’please’ gesture, ”This way, please.” Damn, there’s no way he’d give the sworn enemy a raise!

Why doesn’t President Yuk play by the rules!!

Dai Mi took Chuzheng to see the finished product, the people over there were also cursing, having to come out at night from home, are you crazy?

However, since they were paid a lot, no matter how much they cursed the madness, in front of Chuzheng, they still greeted with a smile.

-

Chuzheng quickly discovered that Yu Shi had plagiarized designs from the brand she visited before and claimed them as her own.

Chuzheng searched the brand’s website again and found that those clothes were no longer available.

Chuzheng figured out how Yu Shi operated, so the next step was to determine how she contacted herself ten years ago.

Was it through the mirror like herself?

Or was it through some other method?

Or maybe confirming it would bring peace of mind...

Just get it done!

Chuzheng walked to the window and looked down, Yu Shi’s father was still sitting outside, leisurely sipping tea.

Chuzheng took out her phone to confirm that Yu Shi wouldn’t be back for a while, and immediately went downstairs to find a way to lure Yu Shi’s father away, then sneaked into Yu Shi’s house.

From the outside, the house looked cramped, and standing inside made it even more cramped, with a single glance able to encompass the whole house.

There wasn’t the large mirror Chuzheng imagined.

Nor were there any items that seemed abrupt to Chuzheng.

Could it be she was mistaken?

Yu Shi and ten years ago didn’t connect like she did?

Chuzheng pondered while touching her chin, before leaving home as she couldn’t figure it out.

-

The year 2019.

Cheng Mu discovered another rule added to the list he had been listing — No getting hurt.

Cheng Mu crumpled the paper into a ball and threw it in the trash can.

Why does she get to tell him what he can’t do!

Cheng Mu was in his rebellious phase, so next Chuzheng found that Cheng Mu was frequently getting bruises and injuries.

Cheng Mu was doing it on purpose.

She was someone from the future, not a relative, nor an elder, what right did she have to set conditions for him.

But Cheng Mu didn’t notice, previously he would rather stay out all day and not go home, now he obviously went home more frequently.

This change naturally caught the attention of his friend Li Huan.

”Brother Mu, didn’t you say before you didn’t want to go home? Why now do you run home as soon as school’s over, is there a Little Demon waiting for you at home?”

Little Demon?

Cheng Mu thought it was impossible, that woman was twenty-six...

”That younger brother of yours lately seems quite strange.” Li Huan suddenly shifted the topic to Qu An.

Cheng Mu frowned, ”What’s he up to now?”

Li Huan spoke mysteriously, ”Seems like he’s trying to find out who wrote you a love letter. What do you think he’s planning?”

Cheng Mu: ”...”

Since Chuzheng pointed out Qu An’s feelings, they’ve been particularly obvious.

However, he didn’t plan on telling Li Huan about this.

Cheng Mu casually brushed it off, diverting Li Huan’s attention elsewhere, ”I remember your big brother has a lot of connections.”

”Yeah, so?”

”Help me find someone.”

”Find who?”

”Yuk Chuzheng, should be sixteen this year.”

Li Huan’s eyes lit up, gossiping, ”Who’s she? Your sweetheart?”

”No. Can you find her?”

Li Huan pouted, ”No other info? How can someone check like that?” just one name and one age, isn’t this like searching for a needle in a haystack?

Cheng Mu added a little, ”In this city.”

”...”

Li Huan could only say he’d ask someone to check.

Cheng Mu didn’t hold out much hope, who knew he’d actually find her, by what means he didn’t know, but his brother guaranteed, there was only one person with the name Yuk Chuzheng in this city.

”This little girl looks quite pretty.”

Li Huan whistled while holding the photo.

”And this is from an ID photo, an everyday photo would be even prettier.” Li Huan elbowed Cheng Mu: ”Where did you find such a pretty little girl?”

Cheng Mu took back the photo.

The girl in the photo wore a school uniform, her skin was fair, while her facial features still carried a hint of childishness, she was already clearly a beauty in the making.

Is this what she really looks like?

Cheng Mu received the address, skipped a couple of classes.

Sixteen-year-old Yuk Chuzheng attended a school about half an hour’s drive away.

It was class time now, Cheng Mu could only wait outside.
