Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 759: Chapter 759: Little Guy

Xiao Xiao also stood guard in front of the little one. The creature looked just like a very cute black kitten.

”Since when did Xue Zhao take a liking to such little things? Where did she pick this one up?” Xiao Xiao asked, looking at it.

”My mistress rescued it from another Monster Beast the last time she went out,” Qi Tian hurriedly answered. ”After that, she went into closed-door cultivation and hasn’t paid much attention to this little one.”

As Qi Tian spoke, he continued to roast the large piece of meat in his hands. The little creature, which had its eyes closed, immediately opened them upon smelling the rich aroma.

However, something about it seemed off. It raised its head to look at the meat in Qi Tian’s hands, its own eyes glowing with a fierce light. It looked less like it wanted to eat the meat and more like it wanted to kill it.

Yet Qi Tian, completely engrossed in roasting his meat, didn’t notice the creature’s strange behavior behind him.

Xiao Xiao and Qi Sheng saw that something was amiss with the little one, but they just assumed it was hungry.

Seeing this, Xiao Xiao stood up to get a piece of meat for the creature.

However, the moment she held out the meat, the green light in the little one’s eyes suddenly flared. Its entire body then inflated as rapidly as a balloon. In the blink of an eye, it swelled to the size of a two-story building.

Qi Tian and Qi Sheng were dumbfounded by its sudden action.

”What in the world? What’s wrong with this thing? How did it suddenly get so big? Holy crap! Heavens! What is going on? It can’t possibly just be hungry, can it?”

Qi Tian kept backing away, his eyes wide with fear as he stared at the creature.

The massive creature didn’t pay them any attention, turning its gaze toward Xiao Xiao instead.

Xiao Xiao frowned at the sight of Da Hei.

”Seriously, what is it with today?! Why is everyone trying to pick a fight with me?”

Xiao Xiao looked at Da Hei and couldn’t help but sigh heavily.

Seeing Xiao Xiao, Da Hei let out a loud roar and swiped its huge black paw at her.

Xiao Xiao didn’t dodge. With a sharp cry, she drew the Longsword from her back.

THUNK!

The Longsword pierced Da Hei’s chest. But Xiao Xiao quickly realized something was wrong. She could feel that her Longsword hadn’t pierced the creature’s heart; it had only broken its skin. Moreover, Da Hei was grabbing the blade with its paw!

What... what is happening?

At that moment, Da Hei suddenly opened its mouth and lunged for Xiao Xiao’s neck. Seeing this, Xiao Xiao quickly withdrew her Longsword and retreated.

However, she had only taken a few steps back when Da Hei leaped at her again. It licked its lips, seemingly enjoying the unique scent emanating from her.

What is going on?

Xiao Xiao was stunned. Her frown deepened as she saw the greedy look in Da Hei’s eyes.

Da Hei rushed toward Xiao Xiao recklessly, attacking her again without hesitation. Xiao Xiao didn’t dare to be careless and immediately engaged Da Hei with her Swordsmanship.

Although Xiao Xiao’s Swordsmanship wasn’t bad, it was like child’s play in Da Hei’s eyes.

Da Hei swung a paw at her. She quickly raised her Longsword to block, but this time, the force of its paw was even stronger than before!

BANG!

Xiao Xiao was sent flying several meters.

Da Hei charged at Xiao Xiao again, its paws now sporting sharp claws.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Xiao Xiao constantly swung her Longsword, clashing with Da Hei, but with every exchange, she was thrown back by the beast. She knew she couldn’t let this continue.

She abruptly gathered the Fire Element around her, causing the temperature in the area to rise instantly. Kicking off the ground, she leaped swiftly into midair. Then, with a vigorous shake of her Longsword, she slashed down at Da Hei.

Da Hei showed no fear at her attack. It opened its mouth and exhaled a dense fog filled with innumerable, terrifyingly sharp teeth.

Instead of dodging, Xiao Xiao let the fog envelop her. The dense fog shrouded her, and she vanished from sight.

Seeing this, Da Hei snorted disdainfully and turned to leave.

But just then, a Longsword shot out from the fog, aiming straight for its throat. Da Hei hastily dodged. At that moment, Xiao Xiao finally emerged from the mist.

Seeing Xiao Xiao unharmed, Da Hei’s smile turned savage as it pounced on her again.

Xiao Xiao snorted. She flicked her Longsword in a sweeping motion, aiming directly at the creature’s forehead. The sword, imbued with a powerful Fire Element, shot straight toward Da Hei.

Unfazed, Da Hei threw its arms out forcefully and, incredibly, withstood her ferocious sword strike.

BANG!

With a dull thud, the creature’s arms emerged unharmed as the sword was repelled.

HISS! HISS! HISS!

Seeing this, Da Hei let out a low, excited growl.

Xiao Xiao was slightly surprised.

”I’m surprised you could withstand my attack and remain unharmed,” she said with a cold laugh.

Unwilling to show weakness, Da Hei lunged at her again.

Xiao Xiao frowned, gathering more Fire Element in her hands before viciously blasting it toward the creature. The result was the same. Da Hei remained motionless, absorbing all of her attacks.

Seeing this, Xiao Xiao’s heart sank.

This creature is definitely stronger than me!

Thinking this, she quickly retreated.

WHOOSH!

Just as Xiao Xiao fell back, Da Hei plummeted from above, landed on all fours, and lunged at her again.

Xiao Xiao was shocked. How could this creature be so powerful? A moment ago, it had looked completely harmless, but in the blink of an eye, it had become overwhelmingly strong.

Watching the scene unfold from a distance, the two onlookers’ faces turned grim.

”What on earth did our mistress pick up? How did it get so strong all of a sudden?”

”I... I don’t know either.”

”Damn it, what should we do? It looks like Little Girl Xiaoxiao can’t hold on for much longer. But even if we went to help, we’d be useless. With our level of strength, we’d only get in the way...”
