Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 1935: Chapter 942: Geomancy (Part 2)

Gu Changhuai did not answer, but curiously asked: ”How do you know Master Fan?”

The various elders of the sect may be understandable, he is a sect disciple, favored by the ancestor, knowing a few more is normal.

Why now, even a Supervisor from a remote place, he can recognize?

This social ability, is it a bit too much?

Mo Hua replied, ”We met by chance, had tea together, and a meal, and got to know each other.”

Gu Changhuai fell silent.

Mo Hua asked again, ”Why didn’t the Taoist Court agree to the reassignment?”

Gu Changhuai thought for a bit, then said, ”I asked around, it seems someone above gave a word.”

”A word?” Mo Hua pondered, ”Gave a word not to let Master Fan leave Solitary Mountain City?”

”Possible, but there’s another possibility...” Gu Changhuai said solemnly, ”None of the Enforcement Leaders, Supervisors or Court Leaders in Solitary Mountain City can be reassigned.”

Mo Hua felt a chill in his heart, increasingly certain there’s a problem with Solitary Mountain City, and possibly a big one.

”Who gave the word? Shen family?” Mo Hua asked.

”Not necessarily.” Gu Changhuai replied.

Mo Hua was a bit puzzled, so Gu Changhuai explained, ”The Taoist Court, it concerns the authority of the Taoist Court, the people inside have complex backgrounds, sometimes it’s hard to tell a person’s purpose and stance from the surface.”

”Someone might not have the surname Shen but could be working for the Shen family.”

”Someone might have the surname Shen but the interests they pursue might be of another family.”

”Power changes, interests change, people’s stances also keep changing. It’s hard to distinguish truth from falsehood.”

”Oh...” Mo Hua murmured internally.

Uncle Gu looks simple-minded, but surprisingly knows quite a lot.

Gu Changhuai asked puzzled, ”Why are you asking these, did Fan Jin ask you to inquire?”

”No, I’m just curious, so I came to ask you.” Mo Hua replied.

Gu Changhuai made no response.

”By the way, Uncle Gu,” Mo Hua thought for a bit, then asked, ”What do you think of Master Fan as a person?”

”In which aspect are you asking?”

”Character, ability, and his future in the Taoist Court.”

Gu Changhuai pondered for a moment before saying, ”Fan Jin is astute, hardworking, and daring. He has ability.”

”If he were from a noble family, with his willingness to strive and work hard, he’d naturally do well.”

”But the problem is, he comes from a poor background, has no connections in the Taoist Court, his talent is average, the cultivation technique he practices and the magic treasure he raises are a bit mediocre. Without great fortune, it’s hard to see any prospects...”

Gu Changhuai spoke objectively.

He is a Supervisor of noble lineage, leads by example for years, interacts with many people, knows what kind of person has what kind of fate, whether they have a way out.

Mo Hua nodded.

”Do you have any other plans?” Gu Changhuai asked Mo Hua.

Knowing Mo Hua well, he wouldn’t take interest in something for no reason, he must have his reasons.

”Not much really, just...” Mo Hua paused and came up with a phrase, ”building good karma.”

In the Food Building, Fan Jin could withstand the Shen family’s pressure to help him, Mo Hua naturally owes him a favor.

If others treat him well, he’ll treat others well.

If others treat him badly, he’ll treat others badly.

Responding with virtue for virtue, responding straightforwardly for grievance.

That’s the principle of conduct.

Thus, within his capability, helping Master Fan is reasonable.

At the same time, Elder Shen Xiuyan’s matter made Mo Hua understand one thing clearer:

Which is to do more good deeds, accumulate more hidden merits, build more good karma, and plant more causes.

Back then Elder Xiu, if he didn’t help in Nanyue City, didn’t know this ”good man,” he might really have been doomed when encountering Uncle.

So, plant more good causes, harvest more good results.

Those who gain Dao win more helpers, those who lose Dao have fewer helpers, so if trouble comes later, there will be someone willing to help him, not ending up alone, at a dead end.

His master back then suffered this hardship.

As the master’s youngest disciple, the hardships the master suffered, he certainly won’t suffer again.

Mo Hua deeply cautioned himself.

Gu Changhuai nodded.

”Building good karma” as a reason also makes sense, but he doesn’t understand there’s deep meaning hidden within Mo Hua’s thinking.

”Speaking of which,” Mo Hua suddenly remembered something else, ”Uncle Gu, is there any clue about the Demon Sect Leader?”

He is still thinking about the Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation Map.

Speaking of this matter, Gu Changhuai’s expression also became serious, ”Still no clue, the Demon Sect Leader seems to have vanished, nowhere to be found...”

Mo Hua also murmured internally.

A big demon like that, where could he be hiding...

”The Taoist Court will investigate this, you focus on cultivation.” Gu Changhuai said as usual.

”Alright.” Mo Hua nodded.

Mo Hua also knows, a late Golden Core Stage demon is indeed not someone he can provoke, but the opportunity of the Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation is with this demon.

He has no choice but to inquire and see if there will be any chance to make use of the situation, get lucky.

Of course, this hope is actually quite slim.

Moreover, as time passes, it will become even more unlikely.

Mo Hua sighed.

”Let’s sort out the Solitary Mountain City matter first...”

...

The next day, Mo Hua called for Xie Ling.

Xie Ling comes from the Xie family in Gen State, inheriting the kanyu skill and Yin Yang Feng Shui Secret Formation.

Upon hearing Mo Hua was looking for him, Xie Ling happily ran over, enthusiastically said, ”Junior Brother, what do you need from me?”

As the Junior Brother, he has received much care from Mo Hua in daily life, be it rewards, monster hunting, or formation cultivation, all guided by Mo Hua.

Hence, he is eager to repay the kindness, to help a bit.
