Immortal-Exterminating Divine Venerable

Purple Sun Sect, Medicine Peak.

”Elder Cheng, Study Lord Cheng! So it’s come to this for you! HAHA! The tables have truly turned. This is what you get for cozying up to the Yang Family! This is what you get for being friends with that little bastard Yang Xiao! Feeling stupid now, are we?”

Liu Tianming, clad in a luxurious long robe and holding a long whip, roared with laughter.

He had suffered a great loss at Yang Xiao’s hands back when the latter first rose to prominence.

Even his father had been forced to ingest poison.

Later, they found out it had all been a sham.

But by then, the Yang Family had already consolidated their power. They had no choice but to submit, living with their tails between their legs.

But who would have thought...

”Speaking of Yang Xiao, he really dug his own grave. How dare he act so arrogantly even in Medicine King Valley? Now look what happened. Tragic, isn’t it? It’s one thing for him to die, but he even dragged his family down with him. And now, even you lackeys who kissed his ass are suffering. Good thing I was smart enough to kick him while he was down. Otherwise, wouldn’t I have ended up just like you?”

Liu Tianming felt incredibly smug as he brandished the whip in his hand.

But Cheng Boxuan kept his mouth tightly shut.

He didn’t make a sound.

His heart was a desolate wasteland of ashes.

He hunched over, dragging himself forward slowly.

Behind him, he dragged two massive stone spheres.

Each one likely weighed tens of thousands of pounds.

They were fastened to Cheng Boxuan’s body with thick iron chains, making every step an immense struggle.

Behind him, Liu Tianming, flanked by several thuggish servants, would occasionally ”reward” Cheng Boxuan with a few lashes of the whip.

He relished the feeling.

After all, while Liu Tianming was the son of the Vice Medicine Peak Master and a notorious hedonist, Cheng Boxuan’s status had not been low.

He was Elder Yao’s Direct Disciple.

Even his own father had had to bow his head to him.

But now, he had become a slave Liu Tianming could toy with however he pleased.

But as satisfying as this was, he hadn’t forgotten his mission. After another crack of the whip, Liu Tianming demanded, ”Still not talking? I don’t know what kind of spell that brat Yang Xiao cast on you, but you’re still refusing to reveal Yang Zhentian’s whereabouts. You’re really courting death!”

”I... I don’t know!”

Cheng Boxuan’s low, hoarse voice rasped out.

Liu Tianming’s face was a mask of disbelief. ”Everyone knows about your relationship with the Yang Family. They vanished without a trace. Wasn’t that you and your master’s doing? Cheng Boxuan, you’d better think this through. Your master, Qin Tiansheng—Elder Yao—is already dead, killed by the Special Envoy. Do you really think you’ll survive?”

”I just don’t get it. Yang Xiao even killed Qin Yan, so why are you all still so damn stubborn!”

Liu Tianming was getting frustrated.

If he couldn’t get the information...

...he would be punished too.

Still, it was better than being treated as one of Yang Xiao’s accomplices.

”Master...”

Cheng Boxuan’s vision blurred with tears.

Elder Yao’s death had been a devastating blow to him.

In truth, he did know something about Yang Zhentian’s whereabouts.

Yang Zhentian had met with him once before he left.

At first, Cheng Boxuan had refused to speak out of loyalty to his friendship with Yang Xiao.

But now, what he felt more than anything was hatred.

Hatred for the Special Envoy from Medicine King Valley, who had indiscriminately killed his master with a single palm strike.

As his disciple...

...Cheng Boxuan would rather die than utter another word.

And that had led to his current plight.

But he didn’t regret it one bit.

He was only disappointed.

Disappointed in the entire Purple Sun Sect.

This Sect, to which he had dedicated his entire life, was utterly beyond saving.

’Master is dead, and the Sect is hopeless. I might as well die like this...’

Suddenly, Cheng Boxuan stopped and refused to move.

No matter how hard Liu Tianming whipped him...

...he would not take another step.

Because he had lost the will to live.

”You damn old man! You’re doing this just to spite me, aren’t you?”

Liu Tianming’s temper flared.

He strode forward and slapped him across the face.

He cursed venomously.

But Cheng Boxuan simply ignored him.

He was like a block of wood.

This only infuriated Liu Tianming further.

He drew a longsword and thrust it directly at Cheng Boxuan.

”If you won’t make my life easy, I’ll take yours! Hmph!”

But just as Liu Tianming’s sword was about to pierce Cheng Boxuan’s chest, a bolt of Vigorous Qi struck the blade. The immense force not only snapped the sword in two but also sent Liu Tianming flying backward.

BLECH! He coughed up a mouthful of blood.

”Ah! Young... Young Master!”

The thuggish servants panicked.

They rushed forward to help Liu Tianming up.

Liu Tianming’s face was deathly pale, his mouth still bloody, but he managed to spit out, ”Who... Who was that? Who dares to ambush me!”

”Liu Tianming. We haven’t seen each other for half a year, and you’ve gotten this cocky?”

Just then, a calm and casual voice drifted into his ears.

Immediately after, a figure in a pale blue robe landed in front of Cheng Boxuan and helped him up.

Seeing this figure, Liu Tianming’s pupils contracted.

”It’s you... You’re not dead!”

An immense fear exploded in his heart.

Liu Tianming was terrified.

But he quickly recovered and shouted, ”Quick! Inform the Special Envoy! Yang... That fiend Yang Xiao is back!”

The moment he said this...

...Yang Xiao turned his head.

He glanced at him.

Then, he pointed a finger.

A beam of Finger Force shot through the air.

And killed him.

The thuggish servants...

...were so frightened they dropped to their knees.

They were just servants of the Liu Family. Some of them had even seen Yang Xiao before—they had even witnessed the incident where Yang Xiao had forced the Liu father and son into submission, demanding a life for a life.

Their fear of Yang Xiao was immense.

Now, he was back.

How could mere servants like them dare to make a move?

Unfortunately for them, Yang Xiao had come bearing a grudge.

Seeing Cheng Boxuan’s miserable state only fueled the flames of his rage.

These men were Liu Tianming’s followers.

They had surely taken part in bullying Cheng Boxuan.

’So what if they’re acting obedient now?’

Yang Xiao casually struck out with his palm.

The five thuggish servants were all smashed into a bloody pulp.

They died on the spot.

Only then did the dazed Cheng Boxuan seem to snap out of it, finally recognizing the person who had helped him up from the ground.

”Go! Go, quickly! Medicine King Valley sent a Special Envoy! They want to kill you! Hurry up and leave!”

Cheng Boxuan roared urgently.

At this moment, he no longer knew what he felt for Yang Xiao.

But he knew he didn’t want to see this young man die.

As long as he didn’t die...

...there would be a chance to avenge his master, and to avenge himself.

”The Special Envoy from Medicine King Valley? Is there anyone else who wants to kill me?”

Yang Xiao just smiled and asked softly.

Cheng Boxuan was beside himself with anxiety. ”In the entire Purple Sun Sect, there’s no one who doesn’t want you dead! From Supreme Elder Ye Dongcheng and Sect Leader Ye Tiannan, down to True Disciples like Lux Wentian and Zhang Tao! Even ordinary disciples from the Outer Mansion want to kill you for the reward! Yang Xiao, I know your talent is exceptional, but no matter how powerful you are, can you really make an enemy of an entire Sect?”

”You have to understand, even Liu Junyi, whom you subdued before, wants to kill you now! Medicine King Valley has posted a sky-high bounty. Forget you—even killing your father would grant direct entry into Medicine King Valley as an Elder’s Direct Disciple! You have enemies on all sides! Why aren’t you leaving yet?”

Hearing this, Yang Xiao only laughed. ”Haha! Medicine King Valley is impressive indeed. But since all these people want to kill me, then I’ll just kill them all. I’ll wipe out the entire Purple Sun Sect!”

With that, he slapped Cheng Boxuan’s chest, releasing the seals on his body.

Then, Yang Xiao himself strode off toward Celestial Yang Peak.

That was the true Core of the Purple Sun Sect.

Everyone who wanted him dead was there.
