[Because of your excellent performance in the task of ”Guarding Dongning City”, a random reward link will be triggered. Please choose one of the following 3 rewards as a reward. 】

[1. Personal expertise - rough skin and thick flesh: upper limit of blood volume +3000 (heap the thickest blood, suffer the most vicious beating)]

[2. Skill card—Back to life: use it before dying, and the blood mana is full.Use times 1/1 (Brother Xinchun, get eternal life)]

[3. Personal expertise - Heroes of Hundred Battles: All attributes +20, with passive skill ”Iron Blood”.Iron Blood—Resistance to Negative Effects of Mind Control Increased by 50%

To be honest, each of the three rewards is great, and Lin Fan wants them all.But the thinking of an adult is useless in front of the system, Lin Fan thought over and over again, and chose the ”Bringing back to life” skill card.

This thing is equivalent to one more life, and it can bring Lin Fan back to the heroism of the fourth natural disaster. Although it is a consumable, it is definitely a magical skill, and you can’t miss it when you encounter it.

However, the above system prompt was more than two months ago.

More than two months have passed since the bloody and brutal beast horde.

According to post-war statistics, as many as 12 soldiers died in Dongning City, as many as 300 million ordinary people died, and one-eighth of Dongning City’s population directly lost.

After dawn, the entire Dongning City was full of corpses whose heads had been shot.

Just cleaning up the corpses in the city, Dongning City has been busy for a whole week
Most of the corpses that were not headshot were infected with the living corpse virus and turned into living corpses, riding the heavy rain at the end of the war and running away without a trace.

Otherwise, it would take even longer to clean up the corpse.

For more than two months, Dongning City has been licking its wounds and slowly recovering from the huge damage it suffered in the war.

Jeep driving on the road.

Lin Fan was driving the car, and Lei, Miao Qing and Taylor were sitting in the car.

By the way, there are Erha.

A group of four people and one dog are ready to perform the task.

The closed beta is over, and Lin Fan has no players to continue to collect wool, and his level has also been raised, so he can’t continue to spend a lot of basic tasks to level up.

Therefore, if you want to continue to gain considerable experience, you can only accept these tasks issued by the military department and do it yourself.

So, more than a month ago, Lin Fan officially joined Lei’s team as the vice-captain. He acted together with Lei and others, performed many tasks, and earned a lot of experience and money.

By the way, Daniel, the former deputy captain of Team Lei, was unfortunately disabled in the beast horde and lost a calf. His combat effectiveness was greatly reduced, so he had no choice but to retire.

In fact, Daniel’s fate has been considered very good.

There were more than 2000 fighters in Dongning City, and 400 of them died in the beast horde. If he could save his life and go home to live happily with his new wife, he is definitely a winner in life.

Moreover, the disability pension allowed him to have enough money to spend, and his military merit and martial artist status also helped him obtain the status of a lecturer at a certain university’s Martial Arts Academy, and his future life was guaranteed.

How many people would not envy such a day.

After more than two months, Lin Fan has worked tirelessly, and his level has been raised by two levels, reaching level 34.

Erha has also improved very fast in the past two months. It still has a psionic crystal of a B-level peak monster in its stomach that can be digested. In addition, it has personally killed monsters to earn experience. At this time, it has reached level 31, officially Became a D-rank monster.

Lei’s improvement is not small, his sword skills have been further improved, and his strength has also been raised to the peak of an intermediate earth warrior.

In comparison, Miao Qing and Taylor’s progress was somewhat inconspicuous. After all, one’s talent is mediocre, and the other’s talent is mechanical, and his martial arts comprehension is relatively poor.

However, the four of them have gone on many missions in the past two months, and they have cooperated well, and they complement each other in all aspects, so they have no plans to recruit others to join the team.

This time, the four of them were going to Button City to carry out a mission, and the mission took over two at a time.

[E-level entrusted mission - scouting for information]

[Mission reminder: The beast swarm is strange. Dongning City received a message from the Button City informant. Some cities were destroyed by the beast swarm, causing countless casualties, but some cities did not even see a mouse. In order to have a more comprehensive understanding of the beast horde and prepare for the potential threat of Button City, Dongning City sent you to Button City to inquire about information. 】

[Task Content: Investigate the situation of animal hordes in 20 cities in Button City]

【Current progress (0/20)】

[Mission reward: experience 5000 (privately owned), Dongning City currency 2 (equally shared by the team)]

[Task Evaluation: Dirty work, earn some hard money]
.
[C-level entrusted task - hunt down the traitor]

[Mission reminder: Six months ago, Dongning City lost a team of warriors, the entire army was wiped out, and the body was not even seen. The Intelligence Department of the Military Ministry has been investigating, but has not found out the reason.Recently, an informant from Button City came to report that Yingbu, the captain of the Warrior Squad, had appeared in Beihai City of Button City and became a subordinate of Kenjiro, the lord of Beihai City. After careful investigation and confirmation by the Intelligence Department, it was determined that Yingbo had betrayed, so a hunting mission was issued. 】

[Mission content: kill Yingbu, and return to the intelligence office of Dongning City with the evidence]

[Mission reward: experience 2 (privately owned), Dongning City currency 8 (team share equally)]

[Mission evaluation: The traitor must die]

[Investigating intelligence] is one of the very common tasks of the intelligence department of the Dongning City Military Headquarters. Generally speaking, it is the junior earth warrior team that accepts this task, and even a quasi-warrior team with a few scouts can accept it.

Lin Fan and the others mainly want to complete the task of [Chasing and Killing Traitors]. This reward is more lucrative, and [Investigating Information] is just a drop-in.

[Chasing Traitors] The task is actually not very special. In fact, it is one of the routine missions, just like the missions of clearing monsters and detecting intelligence issued by the military department, as long as the warrior team in Dongning City can take it.

It’s just that there are not many traitors, and this kind of hunting mission is rare, time-consuming and dangerous, so the reward is higher.

”Yingbu is a middle-level land warrior, and it’s not difficult to kill him, but Kenjiro, the lord of Beihai City, is a top-level land-level warrior, so it’s a little troublesome to meet him.”

Sitting on the co-pilot, Lei said, ”Besides, Beihai City has a large population, and it is considered a big city in Button City, so we still have to be careful in everything, exchange information with informants in the local area, and then make a move. It is best to catch Yingbu and place orders.” opportunity to kill him.”

Lin Fan didn’t care about Lei’s arrangement. He is now very strong, bursting out with all his strength, comparable to the peak warriors of the prefecture level, and with Erha’s assistance, he can even kill the peak warriors of the prefecture level.

So even if he meets Kenjiro, he is not afraid.

Moreover, the task level of [Chasing the Traitor] is only C-level, which is a relatively safe task level. As long as you are careful, you should be safe.

The jeep sped forward and quickly arrived at Beihai City in Button City.

Button City is not a city, but a group of cities. These cities are very small, with a city ranging from a few thousand to tens of thousands of people.

The origin of these cities is very interesting.

Dongning City was treated by the consortium as a rebel army. Some fighters, soldiers, or residents of the consortium, after committing a major crime enough to kill their heads, based on the principle that the enemy of the enemy is a friend, they even wanted to join Dongning City.

As a result, it is naturally conceivable that Dongning City is unwilling to accept these people, and will not kill them to ask for trouble, so these people fled to the east of Dongning City and hid.

In this world, crime is normal.

Over time, Dongning City moved further east, and more and more criminals gathered.

And more than ten or twenty years ago, the number of monsters in the Western Continent was small, and their strength was not too strong. Dozens of guns could guarantee safety, so at that time, there were still many villages composed of refugees in the wilderness.

Some cunning criminals collected these refugees, gathered tens of thousands of people to build a city, and became the lord of the city themselves. After the evolution of time, they gradually gained a firm foothold.

Most of the cities in Button City come from this way.

Since the rulers themselves are criminals, the development of Button City can be imagined.

In a mess, civilization retreated instead of advancing, and even returned to the era of slavery. The details are not mentioned.

Lin Fan specially drove a very old jeep, this kind of car is very common in Button City, so it didn’t arouse too much suspicion.

At the entrance to the city outside Beihai City, there were only four soldiers standing crookedly and sloppily on duty. Lin Fan and the others showed their identification cards for businessmen commonly used in the Button City area, and quietly stuffed money into the four soldiers, and everything went smoothly. Entered the city.

”I hate this place.” Miao Qing sat in the back seat of the car with her hands crossed over her chest, with a bad expression on her face.

When the four soldiers inspected the vehicle just now, when they saw Miao Qing, their eyes were very dishonest, which made Miao Qing very disgusted. If it wasn’t for the fact that Lin Fan and the others didn’t look easy to provoke, and their waists were bulging, the four soldiers might have acted excessively.

Lin Fan laughed: ”No one would like this place, you smell it, this place smells so bad it can kill people. As for the four soldiers just now, after we kill Yingbu, if we can still meet them when we go out of the city , just kill it.”

The soldiers in Button City are like robbers. They are good at exploiting ordinary people who are struggling to live in the city. They are faster than anyone else in hiding when they encounter danger. It is absolutely not innocent to kill someone casually.

According to the address, Lin Fan and others quickly found the informant.

The informant was a native of Beihai City, named Old Tom. He was not young, in his 40s, an ordinary person, and the wrinkles on his face looked like they could kill mosquitoes.

He opened a tavern here. A few years ago, when the intelligence office of Dongning City Military Headquarters launched a large-scale business, by chance, a little test developed him into one of the informants.

He also happened to be the first to discover Yingbo and sent the news back to Dongning City.

It is also very simple to make these informants work obediently. In addition to giving some money every once in a while, Old Tom’s second son was sent to live in Dongning City. It is said that he still married a wife and had children in Dongning City, and started a family.

The biggest motivation for old Tom to work hard is that after a few more years of hard work, the whole family can move to Dongning City, away from ghost places like Beihai City.

Lin Fan and others saw Old Tom in the back hall of the tavern, and Old Tom took out a stack of papers: ”My lords, this is all the information I have collected about Yingbo. I have limited resources, so I can only find so much. gone.”

Lin Fan didn’t expect this guy to find any useful information, so he flipped through a few pieces of paper and asked casually: ”I heard that in the beast tide more than two months ago, some cities in Button City were destroyed, but some Nothing happened in the city, is there such a thing?”
