Upon hearing that there was a case to deal with, Zhang Peng and Zhang Zixin were a little excited. They quickly picked up the clothes from the hangers and prepared to go out with Zhang Demin to investigate.

“Brother Zhang, what case is this?”

“The party involved bought a Tesla, and after driving less than 200 kilometers, the brakes failed. When she sought help from the 4S dealership, the shop claimed it was due to improper operation by the owner. After several unsuccessful negotiations, she called the police.”

“Isn’t this a case of the dealership bullying the customer? To blame brake failure on the owner’s mishandling?” Zhang Peng said angrily.

“That’s true. Let’s go over and take a look.”

“Okay.”

After tidying up, the four of them drove toward the Tesla 4S shop.

As soon as they arrived at the entrance of the shop, they saw a woman sitting on the roof of a car.

There was even a banner hanging on the car.

“Tesla doesn’t act, brakes fail, shirks responsibility, don’t buy their car!”

Lin Yi glanced at the person in question and saw that she was a woman in her thirties.

She was very good-looking. Her hair was tied up behind her head, and she was wearing blue tight-fitting jeans that wrapped her legs perfectly.

She was a young married woman who looked quite pleasing to the eye.

However, she looked a little disheveled now and lacked a proper demeanor.

When Lin Yi and the others arrived, a large group of people had surrounded the shop.

Moreover, the security guard had a physical conflict with the female car owner and tried to pull her down.

Beside the car, there were several salespeople from the dealership, dressed in suits, but they were standing aloof and even speaking rudely, with an air of arrogance.

“Don’t move!”

Zhang Peng shouted and stopped the security guard.

Seeing the police arrive, the people around them automatically dispersed.

Zhang Demin said to the woman sitting on the roof of the car,

“Come down first. If there’s any problem, we’ll solve it for you. You won’t be able to solve it sitting on the car.”

The woman looked less guarded when she saw the police. She climbed off the car.

“Officer, I have come here three times already, but each time they just say it needs to be inspected and then ask me to go back and wait for news. They’ve been dragging this on for weeks, and it’s been almost two months now. Now they’re saying it’s due to my improper handling, which is just bullying me,” the woman lamented tearfully.

Hearing this, the surrounding people pointed and criticized Tesla’s actions.

This kind of behavior was indeed a little too much.

“I’ll get in the car and take a look,” Lin Yi said, “Let me see what’s wrong.”

“Okay.”

After playing with modified cars for two years, Lin Yi’s understanding of cars had reached the point of perfection.

If there was a problem, he would be able to discover it immediately.

Seeing Lin Yi get into the car, the surrounding people retreated. No one dared to stand around and get in the way.

If he could not stop in time, they would be in danger.

After starting the car, Lin Yi stepped on the brakes twice. There was a strange sound coming from inside, and it even felt like he was bouncing.

Generally speaking, as long as the ABS system was not triggered, the car would not feel this way.

Then, Lin Yi drove more than ten meters forward and backward. The brakes did not feel good.

However, ordinary drivers would not be able to discover it.

Then, Lin Yi parked the car and said to Zhang Demin,

“There’s something wrong with the brakes.”

“Officer, as you can see, I’m not being unreasonable. There’s indeed a problem,” the woman said.

“Don’t be anxious. We’re here. We’ll definitely give you an explanation,” Zhang Demin comforted her. Then, he looked at the security guard and said,

“Where’s the person in charge.”

“Hello, police officer. I’m the technical director of the 4S shop. If there’s anything, you can talk to me.”

Unexpectedly, the technical director was a blond, blue-eyed foreigner.

His expression was very calm, and he seemingly did not take this matter to heart.

Lin Yi glanced at the work pass on his chest. His name was Mark, and as he said, he was indeed the technical director here.

“Can you take full responsibility for this matter?” Zhang Demin asked.

Mark smiled awkwardly. “1 can’t take responsibility for this, but I can cooperate with you.”

“Then find someone who can take responsibility.”

“There’s only one manager in our shop, but he’s out. The rest of the team are in sales, so no one can take charge of this. We can negotiate if there’s a problem. 1’11 pass on the details to the manager when he gets back.”

Mark had been working in Huaxia for three years. He could be said to be half a Huaxian.

This kind of thing had happened in the shop before, so he was very experienced.

If this dragged on, it wouldn’t be long before the other party became exhausted and wouldn’t pursue this matter anymore.

Slowly, it would die down.

Zhang Demin glared at them. “Are you trying to play dumb with me? You’ve been negotiating for so long, and you’re still not giving her an explanation. I think you’re trying to stall for time.”

“No, our manager went out for a meeting and hasn’t returned yet.” Mark smiled and said.

“Moreover, as a globally-renowned car company, we will be responsible for our products. If it’s our responsibility, we won’t refuse.”

Zhang Demin frowned. If their person-in-charge was not around, this matter would not be easy to handle.

“Officers, don’t listen to him. He’s obviously lying.”

The female owner said,

“He always says that every time 1 come. He’s just trying to brush you off.”

“Let me tell you, don’t slander us. A shop as big as ours won’t do such a thing,” a salesperson said.

Lin Yi looked at the person who spoke and felt that this salesperson should be the person who sold the car back then. Otherwise, there was no need for him to get involved.

Zhang Demin did not say anything else. He stood aside alone as if he was thinking about how to deal with this matter.

“Brother Zhang, they are obviously bullying the customers. We have to deal with it seriously!” Zhang Peng said.

“They are bullying her too badly.”

“I think we should arrest them!” Zhang Zixin said.

The two of them had just entered the industry and their heads were a little hot. Thus, their approaches were also a little radical.

“It’s obvious that you didn’t pay attention in class when you were in school,” Zhang Demin said.

“This is a civil dispute. We have no right to arrest them, nor do we have a reason to.”

“But in this matter, it’s clearly their fault!” Zhang Zixin said.

“This matter should be handled jointly by the Consumer Association, the Bureau of Industry and Commerce, and the Quality Inspection Department. Our role is mainly to coordinate.”

“All…”

Lin Yi felt that Zhang Demin, who was in his forties and still dealing with such frustrating issues while maintaining a head of shiny, black hair, was truly blessed by nature.

“Brother Lin, you’re full of ideas, do you have any good solutions? We can’t let the public suffer,” Zhang Zixin said.

“I’ll try.”

Lin Yi looked at Mark.

“You just said that your person-in-charge went out for a meeting.”

“Yes, you can go back and wait for him,” Mark said.

“When our supervisor returns, someone will inform you to come over..”
