Hearing Gu Yiran’s words, Li Xianghui followed her gaze and saw Lin Yi walking towards him casually.

“Hurry up. What are you dawdling for?”

“Relax. 1 just finished my meal. My stomach is still bloated.”

Wu Dalin glanced at Lin Yi.

“He doesn’t look like he had anything to do at home.”

“Who said something happened at home?” Lin Yi said.

“Didn’t you take leave?”

Lin Yi paused for a few seconds, then understood what was going on.

“I did take leave. 1 went out for a date and took some time off before coming back.”

“What are you talking about?”

!!..

Li Xianghui gritted his teeth and wanted to kick Lin Yi.

“Don’t you all know that I went out? Besides, there are no outsiders here. What’s there to be afraid of?”

Li Xianghui squeezed out a sentence from between his teeth. “Do you know who he is?!”

“Him? Was he on night shift?”

Li Xianghui,”…”

Gu Yiran,”…”

Haha…

After finishing their training, Zhou Xinghai and the others laughed out loud.

“Lin Yi, if you’re sick, go to the hospital. Don’t spout nonsense here. He’s Instructor Wu, who teaches firearms. How dare you say that he’s a night watchman? Do you want to die?”

“Um…”

Lin Yi’s expression was slightly awkward. “I’m really sorry, I made a mistake.”

Wu Dalin’s expression kept changing, and Li Xianghui was terrified.

He felt that his teacher was about to die from anger.

“1 can’t believe you’re asking me to stay and train people like this!”

“Master, don’t misunderstand. Lin Yi is a little informal, but he’s very talented. If we let him go, we will be the ones to lose out.”

“I really can’t tell what’s so special about him.” Wu Dalin said.

“Anyway, my teaching mission for today is over. You can take the exam now.”

“Teacher, don’t be like this. Don’t you have any leeway?”

“A person like him is not worthy of my teaching!”

“But…”

“Stop, stop, stop.” Lin Yi said.

“Inspector Li, what’s going on? I’m just here to take the exam. What does it have to do with this old man?”

“He’s the instructor in charge of firearm training. How are you going to take the exam if you don’t learn first?”

“Don’t you have the right to take the exam even if you don’t go to class?”

“Sure, but you’re a novice and you haven’t even been trained for this. How do you want to take the exam?”

“And here i was thinking it was a big deal.” Lin Yi said.

“Just let me take the exam. 1 feel that my standard is alright. 1 should have no problem handling an assessment of this level.”

“Haha…”

Everyone laughed out loud, as if mocking Lin Yi for overestimating himself.

“Brother Lin, stop talking.”

Zhang Peng stepped forward and grabbed Lin Yi’s arm.

“Among us, the one with the highest level is Zhou Xinghai. He trained in the police academy before and even practiced for the whole day. In the end, he only got 86 points. You were gone for the whole day and didn’t practice at all. You definitely can’t take the exam right away.”

“He only hit 86 points after practicing for a day. His level is too poor.”

Zhou Xinghai crossed his arms in front of his chest. “You’re someone who hasn’t even touched a gun, and you’re actually mocking me? Don’t you find this funny?”

“How do you know I’ve never touched a gun?”

Everyone’s gaze landed on Lin Yi.

Especially Li Xianghui. If Lin Yi had experience in this area, his results would be better.

“Have you tried shooting before?” Zhou Xinghai asked.

“I’ve tried it before,” Lin Yi said.

“Previously, I shot balloons in the park and hit every single one of them. I made the boss cry.”

“Balloons? Haha…”

Zhou Xinghai clutched his stomach and bent over in laughter.

If he had practiced shooting before, he wouldn’t have said anything. What was he thinking by flexing his balloon-shooting results?

“Lin Yi, can you stop teasing me? Do you think a balloon game can compare to this?”

“What’s the issue? There’s not much difference, right?”

“Come, come, come. Give it a try. 1 don’t ask for much. As long as you can hit 30 points, I’ll be convinced.”

“Alright, stop fooling around.” Li Xianghui said, “Be serious.”

“Why do you care?” Wu Dalin said.

“It’s time for the assessment anyway. Let him go up first.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea. He doesn’t have any experience at all. He definitely won’t get a good result.”

Li Xianghui’s idea was very simple. He wanted Lin Yi to be last.

This way, he could see how others operated and improve his final result.

If he was the first to go up, he would stand no chance at all.

Not to mention hitting 30 points, he would be lucky not to miss the target.

“Why do you say he is inexperienced?” Wu Dalin said.

“Didn’t he play shoot balloons in the park? He even boasted that there’s not much difference between the two. 1 want to see his level today.”

Gu Yiran was a little proud. He couldn’t deal with Lin Yi, but Teacher Wu could.

“Didn’t i just ask for leave to go on a date? Do you have to keep targeting me, old man?” Lin Yi complained.

“Targeting you?”

Wu Dalin’s anger rose.

“There’s something wrong with your attitude. How can you blame me for criticizing you?”

“I’m here to participate in training. I’m definitely confident. 1 can’t joke about my job.”

“It’s really amusing. I’ve been handling guns for so many years, yet occassionally still need to practice, and here you are, someone who’s never touched a gun, making such a statement. Do you think you’re better than me?”

“That’s hard to say, but it’s not impossible either. How does that motivational saying go? ‘The universe is uncertain, and anybody could be a hidden master,’ right?”

Li Xianghui,”…”

Gu Yiran,”…”

Was he mentally ill?

He could even say such a thing?

“I can’t take it anymore. Help me up. I’m dying of laughter.”

Other than Zhang Peng and Zhang Zixin, who were close to Lin Yi, the rest of the people burst into laughter.

During the training during the day, they had witnessed how terrifying Instructor Wu was.

He was already in his fifties, yet he had a terrifying score of 96 points. Lin Yi actually said that he was better than him. They really didn’t know if there was something wrong with his brain.

“Brother Lin, hurry up and humble yourself. Don’t embarrass yourself.”

Zhang Peng pulled Lin Yi back and apologized to Wu Dalin with a smile.

“Instructor Wu, please calm down and don’t stoop to his level. His head got caught in a door last night, and he hasn’t come back to his senses yet today. Please don’t take it seriously.”

“No, no, no. It’s been so many years, but I’ve never seen a young man who dares to provoke me.”

Wu Dalin looked at Lin Yi and examined him.

“Didn’t you just say that your marksmanship is better than mine? Let’s practice now. I’ll give you ten points. As long as the gap between you and me doesn’t exceed ten points, 1’11 consider you the winner. I’ll give you full marks for the final assessment.. Do you dare?”
