His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1389: Chapter 392: Daddy Teaches Mommy How to Kiss (Part 3)

Li Yu later called her again, but Li Man didn’t pick up.

”You’re using me like a workhorse all day. Let’s go exercise this afternoon!”

After hanging up on Li Yu, Li Man said to Yao Jie.

Yao Jie...

Helian Hao and Qin Mu were also stunned. It’s clear they’ve been stirred up with new ideas suddenly.

Later, the two of them left. Qin Mu and Helian Hao went upstairs to get a room for a nap, continuing their chat as well.

The two of them took a shower and then lay on the bed wearing pajamas. Helian Hao asked Qin Mu, ”What’s up with Li Man?”

”It’s a case of love unrequited!”

Qin Mu looked up at the ceiling and replied nonchalantly.

”Have Li Man and Li Yu’s issues not been resolved?”

Helian Hao asked.

”Mhm!”

Qin Mu agreed with a hum.

”For these kinds of issues, I always feel it’s not easy to resolve unless one of them gets married. Then the other might really let go completely. Otherwise, it might continue to stay tense.”

Helian Hao shared her thoughts.

”But Li Yu wouldn’t easily get married. I often wonder if they would regret not confessing their love after tormenting each other for so many years?”

Qin Mu pondered and added.

”Just like you regretted leaving Mu Yichen alone in Rongcheng, giving Jing Qing a chance?”

”Mhm!”

Qin Mu sulkily agreed again.

Time is actually very precious. When you’re together and yet don’t cherish each other, it really feels quite bad.

”Have you ever told Mu Yichen about it? That you regret not confessing to him earlier?”

Helian Hao lay on her side looking at her, eyes full of curiosity.

”I think I did! Probably!”

Qin Mu recalled that she had said some heartfelt words to him, those feelings buried deep for many years.

But she couldn’t remember the exact words.

”Mu Yichen must have been over the moon, huh?”

Helian Hao asked.

”What about you and Jing Feng?”

”What is there to say? We’ve always been together. I’ve always known his feelings, and I haven’t looked for another boyfriend, have I?”

When Helian Hao talked about herself, she turned over and stared at the ceiling in a daze.

It was Qin Mu who turned over to look at her: ”Tell me more about you two, even from when we were little!”

Qin Mu thought about the many years she wasn’t there for her best friend. Was she doing okay? Was that boy always protecting her?

”What’s there to say! I was always so introverted because of you when I was little.”

Helian Hao said, giving her a reproachful look.

Qin Mu was so scared she didn’t dare to ask further.

”So when you came back, I got married to him!”

Qin Mu...

Helian Hao suddenly laughed, then her head rested next to hers and said: ”You know what? If it weren’t for you getting a marriage certificate with Mu Yichen, no matter what, I couldn’t have been with him. I’m so scared of marriage!”

Actually, it’s not just children from divorced families who fear marriage!

Actually, many girls lack a sense of security about marriage?

”But now, Jing Feng and I have become very harmonious.”

Helian Hao placed both hands under her head, feeling a bit smug.

”Unlike you and Mu Yichen, who can have a big fight every now and then.”

Hearing Qin Mu staying silent, Helian Hao teasingly boasted to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu gave a helpless, light laugh: ”You’re so annoying!”

Qin Mu still remembers meeting Helian Hao for the first time again when she returned; she was such a serious and earnest girl, but now, look at her? So open-hearted in front of her.

The two women looked into each other’s eyes and burst into joyful laughter lying on the big white bed.

”Shall we call them over to chat? Ask who loves their woman more?”

Helian Hao jokingly asked Qin Mu.

”Good idea! I’ll even let you have the privilege of calling! I’ll be waiting!”

Qin Mu nodded then prompted Helian Hao to make the call.

”Should I really call? Really call?”

Helian Hao pretended to frighten Qin Mu.

”Call! Go ahead! If you dare call them here, I’ll dare ask!”

Qin Mu said to her, laughing so hard her cheeks hurt.

Helian Hao then pretended to call Jing Feng, but when Qin Mu watched her hold the phone to her ear, she pounced over in a panic: ”Hey, are you really calling?”

”Aren’t you the one who told me to call?”

Helian Hao moved the phone so Qin Mu couldn’t reach it.

Later, they didn’t even know when they fell asleep, but it was comforting, like even their dreams were joyful.

Helian Hao didn’t have a lot of happy years, often feeling like she was incomplete, missing her best friend until Qin Mu finally came back.

Qin Mu, too, felt more whole after coming back to Rongcheng. Because of many people, certainly, but importantly, also because of Helian Hao’s tolerance and love.

When they woke up again, it was almost dark. Both their phones rang simultaneously.

They got up looking at the phones, assuming the same posture before answering the calls together: Hello?

”Where are you?”

”At? the hotel!”

They turned to glance at each other, snapping back to their senses.
