Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 2127: Part 4: Auction Day

Market City - Auction

The Auctioneer Elowen swept her gaze across everyone. She felt the price of 60,000 Mid-Grade Mana Stones was a sharp increase.

She was expecting further impulsive bids, but the atmosphere was quiet for a couple of seconds. The guards on the ground floor were staying quiet.

She didn’t know whether anyone else was going to bid now. Her gaze swept across the place. She even looked up at the VIP rooms.

She was wondering why no one was saying anything. The bid should have increased further.

Just then, a female voice sounded. Hearing that, her heart calmed down because it was a familiar female voice. It was the person who had won the 10th-Grade Magic Spell model earlier.

”70,000 Mid-Grade Mana Stones!”

The same female voice sounded from the VIP room. Everyone was shocked. They didn’t expect the female guest to increase the bid.

The other VIPs were shocked as well. They were wealthy, but they were never as wealthy as the female wizard.

Still, they had some wealth left. They decided to do the bidding later.

A couple of seconds later,

”80,000 Mid-Grade Mana Stones!”

Another deep male voice sounded from the VIP rooms. This person hadn’t bid before; he was doing it for the first time.

He was a middle-aged man who hailed from a mid-level force. But he had encountered good fortune once, and his personal wealth had risen because of it.

So, he was confident that he would win this bid for sure. He had wanted to bid for the final auction item earlier, but the strange, rusted-looking metal ball had changed his mind.

He too felt something special looking at the metal ball. The other VIPs, including the female wizard, were quiet. She didn’t expect there would be another rich person here.

She decided to wait for the bid to rise further.

”90,000!”

”100,000!”

Shortly afterwards,

Two more strong bids were made by two more wizards in the VIP rooms. It further shocked the crowd. The VIPs who had come this time were wealthy people.

Earlier, everyone had thought the female wizard was the only one with wealth. But they were all wrong. All the VIPs were rich.

The eyes of Auctioneer Elowen shone with bright light. She was expecting the bids to go sky-high. If the auction ended successfully, she would get her cut.

Meanwhile,

Both the Magic Lord and the Manager were thrilled and excited. They didn’t expect the unknown metal object would go for this price.

In particular, the price of 100,000 was not ordinary. It was a sky-high price. They didn’t know whether anyone else was willing to go further.

The Magic Lord recalled first seeing the metal object. Their own appraiser had failed to recognize the object. He didn’t feel bad right now.

He didn’t know why, but he slightly regretted putting the object up for auction. The Manager next to him was wondering whether anyone else had figured out the object.

Just then, ”110,000!”

A deep male voice sounded. It was the same middle-aged man again. His own personal funds were reaching their limit. He could not afford to go beyond this; he had only 5,000 extra.

But he didn’t think the price would go up by only 5,000. He thought someone would quote 10,000 more. And that was exactly what happened the next moment.

”120,000!”

A beautiful voice sounded from the VIP room.

Gasp!

A loud gasp sounded from the ground floor. The woman became the center of attention the next moment. Everyone rated her as someone with even more money.

Now that she had raised the price, they didn’t think anyone would go further. If someone bought it and found out it was merely an old relic that had survived the ancient ruins, it would be a huge disappointment.

The other VIPs were in shock as well. Everyone else was checking their wealth. They were also asking their followers and guardians whether they had any resources to spare.

There were young masters who had started collecting funds from their followers. Those who didn’t have enough resources allowed their followers to go outside to get mana stones from their guardians.

The guardians were waiting outside the city, and the followers were getting resources from them. Seeing that, the other guardians also sent resources to the young masters and young ladies.

This was noticed by the Manager and the Magic Lord. They were paying attention to who had come here with a powerful background.

Almost all of them had backing, except for one person. That person was none other than the young man they had met earlier.

Both of them knew his VIP room number. At the same time, they confirmed that there were no additional Magic Lords staying outside.

There were not even any additional Supreme Wizards; all of them were known faces. This made them think that the young man had come here without support.

Both the Manager and the Magic Lord hadn’t discussed this matter with each other. They had figured it out on their own.

Because both wanted the wealth of the Supreme Wizard for themselves.

Meanwhile,

Inside the private room, I was surprised by the price quoted by the VIPs. Then I realized, I shouldn’t have underestimated them.

Next, I collected my thoughts. Since the item was extremely important to me, I should not delay any further.

”140,000!”

I quoted the price. I had doubled the increase. I was sure the wealthy woman wouldn’t have an answer for it.

Gasp!

A loud uproar occurred. They almost cheered out loud. Some of the guests stood up from their seats. They didn’t expect someone to have this much wealth on their own.

Even the female wizard was surprised. She checked her resources again. She had mana stones left only for the final auction item.

If she used them, she wouldn’t be able to buy the last auction item. Her trip to Market City would be wasted.

Why had she come to the city? It was because of the last auction item. But she hadn’t expected things to turn out like this.

Now the other VIPs were hesitating. They had collected money from their followers and guardians, so they could bid more.

But if they did, they would have to give up the last auction item. That was because the last auction item was too important.

Yet there were a few who were willing to take the risk.
