Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1961: Supreme Magic Limit

Gold City

Inside the Auction House, Auctioneer Martin and Elder Collins saw the reaction of the crowd. Upon hearing the words ”Elder Level” powerhouse, everyone was shocked.

The Auctioneer Martin’s idea worked.

Martin then said, ”Yes, we received a threat from an Elder Level Powerhouse. Our higher-ups have decided to investigate the matter.”

”So, until then, the special relic won’t be auctioned,” Martin added.

Hearing that, everyone understood the situation. If they received a threat from an Elder Level Powerhouse, then their reaction wouldn’t be any different.

After hearing the reason, the V.I.Ps on the third floor didn’t want to cause any trouble. Also, they had failed to see through the strength of the old man.

Without knowing the old man’s true strength, it was not wise to get into a fight. They left the auction house one after another.

Seeing that, the people on the second floor began to disperse silently.

Auctioneer Martin and Elder Collins didn’t stop anyone. They wanted this result as well. It didn’t take long for everyone to leave the place.

Only then did the faces of both men show a serious expression.

”Are you sure?” Elder Collins asked.

”I saw the black token before getting onto the stage,” Martin said.

”Maybe the token was fake. It might have been given a solid appearance before disappearing,” Collins replied.

Hearing that, Martin was stunned. He hadn’t thought of it that way. There are wizards who can use their magic to create fake materials.

Many such incidents had occurred in their line of business. Seeing that Martin was giving it serious thought, Collins spoke up.

Collins said, ”I was here all along. If anyone had entered the room, I would have known.”

”On top of that, the staff are not lying. They didn’t see anyone entering the room either. So, the special relic was stolen before getting here.”

”It could be the work of a wizard with unique magic. It’s not the first such case. There are many cases that occurred before. It’s just that we were careless.”

”The special relic attracted coveted eyes. Even a Unique Wizard was involved. It’s not easy to find the thief. Let’s report to the higher-ups honestly,” he added.

Hearing that, Martin agreed and decided to yield to the Elder. If he insisted on his previous stance, it would mean Elder Collins hadn’t done his job properly.

Then the higher-ups would question the elder instead, and he would offend the elder directly. He broke out into a cold sweat thinking about it.

Time passed.

The news spread like wildfire. The people who came out of the auction house revealed the truth: the last auction item was not auctioned.

The Gold City Auction didn’t auction the special relic due to threats from an Elder Level Powerhouse belonging to an unknown organization.

The information struck the heads of the locals like a thunderclap. They had only heard of Elder Level powerhouses through word of mouth.

No one had seen one in reality. Even in the vast chaotic land, such powerhouses were few. Even if they existed, they would have their own private areas.

They wouldn’t involve themselves in disputes. If any wizard force in the chaotic land had such a backer, then the chaotic land would have been conquered long ago.

This news was being discussed on the news channels and by other forces. There were influential forces in the city as well, and they knew more than the locals.

The chaotic land did have Elder Level Powerhouses. It was because of them that the neighboring kingdom, the Skycrest Kingdom, was not invading them.

Otherwise, that nation, with its powerful skycroc monsters, would have invaded them already.

The people were in a panic. But the city lord of Gold City released a statement saying there was no Elder Level Powerhouse in the city or near the city.

Despite that, the fear was not contained. Those who came from outside began to leave the city.

Meanwhile,

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I reached the final stage. The next second, magic changes occurred in my body and mind. My grasp over the magic rule power increased.

The forbidden-level inheritance became easy to comprehend as well. All of this was because of the increase in rule power.

At one point, the black token in my hand shattered. I opened my eyes. My eyes flashed with a gleam. I could feel the incredible changes in me. The next second, I summoned the status panel.

My gaze fell on the status panel. I saw the increase in status power and other attributes, but I wasn’t surprised. When my gaze fell on the magic rule power, my heart stirred.

The supreme magic rule power had reached its limit. Which meant I had fulfilled one of the conditions to become a Magic Lord.

Not only that, I now had a basic understanding of the Forbidden Inheritance as well. It was finally getting started. From here on out, the power of my magic spells would be far more destructive.
