Chapter 1581: Rufus’s actions!

Nova Stead City:

Family Head Rusfus was inside the meeting hall with others. He has sent people to find out the cause. The elders in the room are carrying grave expressions on their faces.

They have started discussing that it’s the work of the White Faction. They don’t know which force had done it. They have a feud with many forces in the white faction.

Tud!

At this moment, the door opens. A 2 Supreme Wizards walked in. Everyone’s gaze fell on them the next moment.

Rufus saw them as well. He noticed ugly expression which indicates bad news.

”What happened?” Rufus asked.

The 2 Supreme Wizards exchanged looks before telling what happened at the prison facility.

At first, everyone’s reaction was calm. But when they continued to listen their expression turned from bad to worse. Especially when they heard the death of the prisoners.

They couldn’t contain their inner shock. Everyone turned towards the Family Head next.

Rufus’s face contorted in anger. He couldn’t believe someone dared to lay hands on their prison facility. All the prisoners are dead. It reduced the family strength.

If he had to use someone for suicide mission, then he can only order someone from the family.

”Damn it!”

”Who is it?”

Rusfus stood up and shouted out loud. The elders are taken aback. They didn’t expect the Family Head Rufus to lose composure.

Because this incident has caused a significant blow to them. If they don’t find the force behind it and respond, they will become a laughing stock in front of other forces in the Dark Faction.

”Family Head, there is one more thing. The prisoners have died because of the Artifact. The Prison Head Ken is missing right now,” One of the Supreme Wizard said.

Quiet!

The hall has become quiet. How could they not know about the Artifact? It’s just that Supreme Wizard Ken was loyalist. So far he has done a good job.

Now that everyone heard him missing. They don’t know whether he is alive or dead. If the core family member has died, then there are ways to know.

But the Supreme Wizard Ken is not the core of the family. Otherwise, they would have known the result by now.

Rufus’s eyes turned cold. He thinks about other forces in the city. There are other Wizard families as well. They too were under the influence of the Dark Faction.

They had made a decision not to target each other. In particular, the faction war is going on. Everyone’s strength is needed right now.

So he doubts it could be the work of other forces inside the city. Even if there is one, then the Dark Faction would take care of them. He doesn’t need to worry about it then.

Right now, he needs to find the identity of the force. More importantly, he needs to find whether Prison Head Ken was alive or not.

If he was alive the person should be captured immediately, he needs to take care of the contract artifact as well. If he was dead, then needs to locate the artifact.

If such a powerful Artifact fell into the hands of the White Faction, then it could be disastrous for them and the Dark Faction.

If he had known this would happen, he would have made Supreme Wizard Ken’s mana core under the curse as well.

A few minutes later,

Many wizards flew out from the Wilson Family and exited the Nova Stead City. In a flash, they exited the city. Seeing this swarm of wizards leaving the Wilson Family.

The wizards in the City are in shock. Not only the Wilson Family lives in Nova Stead City. But there are other families and organisations as well.

They are in shock as well. They realised that something serious happened at the Wilson Family. The Merchant Association Head Quarters was not faraway from them.

The Dark Faction has been pressuring them. They don’t know whether it could be a reaction from other forces.

The Family Heads and Business Heads of various forces left their place to visit the Wilson Family Head Rufus. There are two reasons behind it.

First, it’s to tell them that they are not involved. Second, they want to know who did it. So they could be better protected from the attacks.

In the end, none of them want to miss the opportunity to meet Rufus.

---

Prison Facility:

The Supreme Wizards are still staying at the facility. They are searching the place themselves to find some clues. If they get a small clue about the attacker, then they could find the person easily.

The prison guards are doing the search as well. But the fear in their heart was never gone. One of them just died like that. So they are like an ant existence for the Supreme Wizards.

They are alive because they detest killing them. They also need people to order around.

Time goes by,

The news reaches the ears of the Dark faction. The higher ups there took the news seriously. Recently, they are taking action against the Merchant Association.

Their spies have already infiltrated the place. The Dark Envoy and other 2 Magic Lords are hiding at the foot of the mountain.

They are awaiting further orders. They didn’t expect such a thing to occur this time. Nova Stead City is the nearest city. They also think it could be the work of the White Faction.

Someone destroyed the prison facility. The prisoners are used in the wars. So it’s a significant loss for them as well.

They have decided to send their team as well. Their team has special wizards who could find the culprit with a single clue.

---

The news reached the white faction and neutral faction. The Merchant Association was shocked by the news. Head Marcel once again doubted the elders.

The elders are clearly defected. One part has joined the white faction and the other part has joined the Dark Faction. He still hasn’t figured out how to solve the problem.

At this time, such an incident occurred. He knew people would doubt the Merchant Association. He never had such an idea.

He decides to investigate the elders who defected to the white Faction first.
