Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

Then Vince began to talk about the mission. Once the gang members understood that the goal was to drive a foreigner away. A sigh of relief left them.

Only they are capable of doing this kind of work.

“Alright, the foreigner is staying in a central area inn. You can start your work. I want him out of our city within 2 days,” Vince instructed the gang members.

Meanwhile,

I left the inn a few minutes later. Since my job is confirmed. It’s not good to stay in this run down inn. I’m planning to find a good place to stay.

But not long after, I found 3 people coming in my direction. I set them aside and continued on my way. My goal is the hotel which is located a few walks from here.

At the same time, these 3 thugs didn’t want to miss the opportunity. There are more than 100 members in the gang. Everyone is thinking of a way to complete the mission.

Now they have seen the foreigners themselves. They don’t want to let it go.

“Let us give him a good beating and break his legs,” one of them exclaimed.

Others supported this idea as well.

“Hey, you there. Where are you going?”

The gang members started to shout. After seeing them the locals left the place. In the blink of an eye, the place becomes deserted.

The other hand, I stopped my movements. If I go to the hotel right now, then these people will follow me to enter. After that I doubt whether the hotel staff will allow me to stay in their hotel.

I looked around. I saw people looking at me from the corner of the street. Some of them are looking at me from their shop window. It’s not legal to use magic spells in broad daylight. But here there is no such thing as a government.

The three goons walked in front of me.

“You are the strange foreigner who wears a mask everywhere you go!”

With his fingers pointing at me, one of them said.

“Who are you guys?”

“I work for the Purple Chamber of Commerce. Would you like me to file a report on you guys? I asked.

Hearing that the goon was stunned. He was expecting something else. But he didn’t expect a straightforward answer.

This has also reached the locals who were hiding at the moment. Everyone is surprised and shocked.

Usually, the gang members bully locals who don’t have anything to do with the business families and the Purple Chamber of Commerce.

Now they have kicked an iron plate.

“Brother, everyone is watching. What should we do?” The thug dressed in leather asked.

“Harumph, you are lucky,” After saying that the main thug left with his group. He is not stupid. People are watching just now.

Someone from the Purple Chamber of Commerce would have removed them to save face if he had touched him. They are only able to do it at night.

On the other hand, my lips twitch. Even the members of the gangs are terrified of the Purple Chamber of Commerce.

I need to pick up those certificates and ID cards tomorrow. I will be much safer then. Observing those thugs’ vanishing backs. My eyes flickered.

It appears that everyone is awaiting my arrival. But for what? Stealing and plundering. I shook my head the next second. I think I’m reading too much into their actions.

Then I continued on my way. Soon, I arrived at the hotel.

When I walked into the building. I found that the staff and cleaners were looking at me weirdly.

“Is there any room available?” I asked.

The female staff looked at me from top to bottom before asking,”Are you Ethan Brown”

I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

“News travels fast. That is me,” I said in response. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

She apologized, saying, “Sorry, you are not allowed to stay in our hotel.”

For a second, I remained silent.

“What is going on?” I said in my heart.

Then I looked at her and asked,”Can you tell me why?”

“The Purple Chamber of Commerce hired me today. So, the fee is not a concern for me,” I added.

The Staff hesitated. There is a hint of fear in her eyes.

Obviously, she was not allowed to tell the reason. I looked around. The Cleaners are showing a similar reaction as well.

Sigh!

I let out a sigh before leaving. I’m sure that someone is targeting me. Either the old guys who have lost to me or that butler must be the culprit.

Soon, I returned to the inn. I thought that the inn owner will show a change in attitude. But he didn’t say anything. Which further confuses me.

Even the luxurious hotel barred me from staying there. Then what about this shabby inn. Both of their backgrounds are incomparable .

I went to my bedroom and got into bed.

Meanwhile,

Old Butler Joe learnt of today’s events. Upon learning that the gangs have not yet taken action. He was disappointed. There are many gangs in the city.

But Vince has most members operating inside the city. By now, he assumed, they would have taken action.

A few minutes later,

He received another piece of news. The Hawk Family Hotel has barred foreigner Ethan Brown from staying there.

“One of the Hawk Family’s elders has failed the test. He is now making an indirect attack on that foreigner,” Old Butler Joe muttered to himself.

He is aware of Young Miss’s distaste for such behavior. He thinks it’s better for Hawk Family to target foreigners. It will benefit him.

When it comes to gangs. He gave them an order. The elder member of the Hawk Family and others will not spare the foreigner, even if he survives the bullying by the gang.

Night time,

I appeared on the balcony again and used the system to probe around the surroundings. Then I noticed that the inn was surrounded by more than twenty people.

A gloomy look appeared in my eyes. For the time being, I am unable to use the Zero Puppet.
