Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 24

Chapter 24
The next day, there was no rising sun, no first breeze in the morning.

There are only thick clouds and mist covering the floating island with an effective field of vision of no more than three meters.

Still covered in sweat, Lin Ye woke up from the same dream.

He rubbed his chaotic and painful head, went to the bathroom to wash, and then went to the kitchen to make breakfast.

However, this time he was a little busy and had to make food for four people.

But Qin Lie insisted on clamoring for something that could be done in a few minutes.

As a result, in a hurry, the fried eggs were turned into scrambled eggs, and the bacon was fried into coke.

Fortunately, the system sent a toaster, otherwise, even the remaining bag of bread would suffer together.

After eating and drinking, Lin Ye came to the courtyard and started the migration operation.

He turned off the surface projection, and then selected the migration destination on the map given by the system.

”Relocation order, target Middle East - Republic of Seriya!”

As soon as he finished shouting the password, the system prompt sounded quickly in his ears:

[The floating island relocation command has been deployed, deducting survival points: 100000]

The entire island was instantly enveloped by dense beams of light, and he only felt a slight vibration coming from the ground.

Then, an illusory but extremely real scene appeared in the sky.

That is the slowly rising continent, entering the kilometer-thick cloud layer, heading for the high-altitude mooring point 5000 meters from the original surface.

The water mist lingering on the surface is the best proof that the land is floating.

This thick layer of clouds that tightly wraps the blue star will only exist for three months.

That is to say, when the planetary fusion stage is over, it will turn into raindrops and fall into the ocean on the surface of Blue Star again.

And after noon today, the Eurasian continental plate will be completely torn apart, and Europe, Central Asia, West Asia, and East Asia will be separated, forming small floating land.

Huaguo and the Sloane Federation are still neighbors, but due to geological changes, the low-temperature climate at high latitudes is no longer there, and a large area of permafrost in the Sloane Federation has begun to dissolve.

The Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Red Sea, and the world’s largest saltwater lake disappeared.

The South China Sea will be the world’s first upper ocean suspended at high altitude.

The sea water passed through the borders of neighboring Southeast Asian countries, turned into a waterfall of [-] meters high, wrapped in white mist, and poured into the lower ocean.

However, there are no plates on the surface that can carry the ocean. The previous plates were all broken and shattered, and fell into the lava of the mantle together with the extraterritorial celestial bodies.

But under the action of gravity, the 5000-meter-thick ocean will wrap the broken mountain remains and suspend between the continents in the mantle and the floating continents.

What’s even more amazing is that even if it passes through the ocean, it will not fall towards the inner continent.

Because after the drastic change of the geomagnetic field, the gravitational force of all objects will be reversed when they approach the inner layer of the ocean.

In other words, there will no longer be a distinction between the seabed and the sea surface, and both inside and outside can be navigated.

After more than ten seconds of light and shadow interweaving, the migration was finally completed.

When the beam of light shrouded overhead dissipated, Lin Ye found that they had landed on a barren desert.

Because the land plate where Huaguo is located is larger in size and heavier in mass, the floating position is higher from the surface.

And the small floating land like the Middle East hovered under the clouds and stopped moving forward.

Therefore, the floating island whose height was fixed by Lin Ye was directly embedded in the clouds.

After some adjustments, the floating island was only suspended in the air at a height of 1000 meters, but under the cover of the barrier, outsiders could not find the existence of the island at all.

Without the harassment of water mist, Lin Ye looked at the brand new surface and was a little more surprised.

He quickly released the wasp drone to scout the surrounding terrain first.

Later, through the returned screen, it was discovered that the geographical location here is relatively remote, located in the middle of the desert in the Republic of Seria.

In addition to the surrounding undulating gravel Gobi, he only saw a piece of urban ruins to the southwest.

Of course, thanks to the war, the city looked like this before the catastrophe.

But compared to before, the ruins had an air of death added to them.

In his previous life, Lin Ye did not know the detailed information of those scientific research talents, nor did he find any relevant records of their awakening. He only knew that these people were all born in the central region of the Republic of Seria.

Therefore, he can only go to the surrounding area to investigate and try his luck.

Fortunately, Seria is a small country with only a dozen major cities.

There are only three important cities in the central area, with a radius of only [-] kilometers, and can be explored in a few days.

Lin Ye selected a hidden location and mapped the projection there.

There are rock walls tens of meters high on three sides, and the inside and outside are very steep. Except for him, no one can fall from the sky.

Lin Ye led the three of them to choose some weapons and equipment in the courtyard, and prepared sufficient supplies and ammunition. The group rode the scarred predator, transmitted it to the surface with the projection, and headed for the nearby ruins of the city non-stop.

Although it is also under the cloud, the former Yancheng is much more depressed.

And the vast and empty Gobi Desert has a unique style in the catastrophic doomsday.

But the good times are always short-lived. After running on the desert for more than ten minutes, before Lin Ye and his party finished experiencing the exotic atmosphere, there was a burst of gunshots around.

Immediately afterwards, a group of heavily armed convoys appeared on both sides of the Gobi.

Armed men wrapped in black turbans stood on the roof of the car and yelled, while raising their AKs and firing towards the sky.

Seeing this situation, Lin Ye turned his eyes back from the rearview mirror, and then sighed with his forehead:

Good guy, I ran into a gangster just as I went out!

Although the predator Lin Ye drove had excellent defensive performance, it was not as fast as those armed pickup trucks.

Not long after, three of them accelerated and double-teamed up from the rear, and the heavy machine guns mounted on the roof also began to shoot towards this side.

Fortunately, in the previous battle with the zombies, only the windshield was damaged, and the windows on both sides were intact.

Therefore, all the flying bullets are embedded in the 9 cm thick bulletproof glass.

Lin Ye originally didn’t want to cause more trouble, and just wanted to quietly search for scientific researchers according to the plan, but this group of ungrateful gangsters forced each other hard.

So, he activated the radar on the dashboard of the co-pilot, and the fire control system guided the fully automatic weapons on the roof to start a full-scale counterattack.

The M2 heavy machine gun rose quickly, locking on to the nearest enemy target on the left, and then intensive gunfire sounded, and the armor-piercing bullets directly penetrated the pickup truck next to it.

Those cars didn’t have much armor, and a thin layer of iron skin couldn’t stop the attack of 12.7mm armor-piercing bullets.

The people in the cab also died, rolling on the gravel together with the detonated pickup truck.

In addition, there are two conventional howitzers on the roof of the Predator, although the accuracy is not as high as that of heavy machine guns during high-speed driving.

But as long as it gets hit, the car will be destroyed and people will be killed. The two armed pickup trucks next to it are the best proof.

In less than a minute, the Seria armed bandits who were still shouting just now had turned into ghosts in the desert, and together with the burning wreckage of the vehicle, they would stay on this barren Gobi forever.

Seeing that something was wrong, the armored vehicle that was following far behind immediately slowed down and turned around to run away.

Cutting the weeds and eradicating the roots is the creed that Lin Ye has always adhered to. Since he is offended, he must be prepared for the whole family to ascend to heaven in a spiral.

The moment the armored vehicle turned around, Lin Ye slammed on the brakes and slammed the steering wheel, and the Predator made a 360° drift.

As soon as the front of the car was straightened, he stepped on the accelerator to the bottom. With the roar of the engine, the high-speed rotating wheels brought up dust in the sky. The steel giant roared and caught up with the wheeled armored vehicle scurrying in the distance.
