Chapter 39 Salt Making

Chapter 39 Salt Making
This time, Lin Feng slept extremely comfortably,

No thunderstorms, no high tides, and no nightmares or sea sharks.

After opening his eyes, the first thing Lin Feng did was to click on the forum to check his missing person post.

As expected, there were already tens of thousands of replies in the reply column.

The replies in the forum are all like this, not to mention the private chat.

Looking at the replies under the forum, Lin Feng didn’t check and screen immediately.

Tens of thousands of reply messages and private chat messages cannot be checked in a short time.

And it was only one night, so the waiting time was too short.

If you don’t find it the first time, it will be even more troublesome to check again.

Turn off the interface, get up and go to wash, first go to arrange today’s work.

The land reclamation work on the island has been intermittent, although most areas have been cleared up.

However, the road conditions in the extended island have not been very good.

As the saying goes, build roads before getting rich.

Although the island will not get rich for a while, roads must be repaired as infrastructure.

At the same time, he has to arrange the plan of making coarse salt in advance.

Dried fish, cured meat, this kind of food needs a lot of salt to preserve and make.

The amount of salt stored by the savages before can still be used for a period of time in daily use.

It can be used to make these dried fish and cured meat, which seems a little less.

When they came outside the building, everyone in Haixing had already woken up and were reviewing last night’s Chinese.

Seeing how everyone was training hard, Lin Feng was very satisfied.

According to this learning speed, within a month, the savage will be able to communicate with him simply.

Lin Feng found a seat and sat down casually, took two pieces of bread from his backpack for breakfast.

After obtaining a large amount of supplies yesterday, he kept some of them in the warehouse on the second floor of the cafeteria.

In fact, the savages can also make their own food, so Lin Feng doesn’t have to take care of three meals a day.

Unless you have something special to eat, you have to cook it yourself.

In addition to these two days, every time Lin Feng cooks, he will let the women of the savage clan learn how to cook.

Although he’s a short learner, it’s not a problem to get some hot food for the clansmen by himself.

You don’t need to be too particular about what you eat in the morning. After finishing the bread, Lin Feng began to direct the savage’s task for the day.

”Today everyone’s task is very simple, just clean up the ruins on the island as before.”

”Especially the two roads leading to the sea and the road to the hills in the southwest. These three places should be arranged emphatically.”

”In addition, Song Yi, your family and I will arrange the salt production.”

Once the task is arranged, everyone will start to execute it immediately.

Looking at Song Yi and the others left behind, Lin Feng asked.

”The seasoned coarse salt you eat has always been made by your family, right?”

Song Yi nodded quickly in response.

”Then can I still do it now? I will try my best to provide you with any tools that are missing. This time the production volume needs to be a lot, so we can’t just do that.”

This question seemed to be about Song Yi, and he said a word after holding back for a long time.

”can!”

Listening to Song Yi’s answer, Lin Feng laughed out loud.

”Hahaha, that’s right. If you need anything, I’ll arrange it for you now. If you can’t express it in Chinese, use your own language.”

With Lin Feng’s permission, Song Yi chattered a lot in a hurry.

Lin Feng looked at the translator and probably understood Song Yi’s production method.

It is probably to dig a shallow pit, and then simply filter the seawater with leaves or sand to filter impurities.

This filtered seawater is poured into shallow pits and exposed to the sun.

When white crystals appear at the bottom of the water, the production of coarse salt is considered half successful.

The next thing is to refine and remove miscellaneous and other tedious tasks.

It is not difficult to make it like this, Lin Feng immediately started to arrange.

I chose a sunny place on the island and dug two shallow pits around it without ruins.

However, at Song Yi’s request, Lin Feng laid a wooden foundation under these shallow pits.

This is because the crystals exposed to the sun will mix with the sediment at the bottom.

At the same time, at the edge of the foundation, Lin Feng generously took out stones and surrounded the shallow pit.

In this way, the drying site is completed, and the next step is to make the filter device.

This thing is even simpler. Lin Feng took out the empty bottle that Lin Feng specially left before and cut off the bottom.

Insert gravel, fine sand, leaves, etc. as a filter, an empty bottle is not enough.

Lin Feng took out all the remaining 20 or so in his backpack.

These empty bottles are a hot commodity in the trading market.

Replace the made filter leaves with clean crushed charcoal and you have a sea water purifier.

Although the filtered water needs to be boiled again before drinking, it is much better than directly boiling seawater.

An empty plastic bottle can be exchanged for three pieces of wood or stone at the market price.

After installing all the empty bottles, the four of them went to the beach and began to fetch water, filter it and pour it into the pool.

By the time both pools were filled, it was already noon.

The next step in preparing salt is to wait for the sun to evaporate.

According to Song Yi, this step will take two to three days to dry, and he can afford to wait for this time.

Go back to camp to check what the others are doing over there.

The three roads have been corrected by everyone all morning, and the debris has been cleaned up at this moment.

At the same time, some potholes on the side are also filled.

Looking at the completion of the task, Lin Feng was very satisfied.

In this way, there is no need to worry about stepping on pits or tripping when wandering around the island in the dark at night.

Back at the camp, except for those who were still patrolling the sea, the rest of the savages rested here.

In the kitchen, there are already savages preparing lunch at noon today.

So I took a look at the contents of lunch, grilled fish.

This is also the food that the savages are best at.

Since someone did it by hand, Lin Feng didn’t have to cook and arrange it himself.

The next step is to wait for the completion of the lighthouse and the salvage of the daily treasure chest.

However, after confirming yesterday that the savages were able to access the mobile treasure chest, Lin Feng handed over the salvage work to them.

If there are no accidents in the follow-up, they can just salvage the treasure chest when they see it, and there is no need to whistle and call them.

And the time to wait for the lighthouse is not long, and the time for a meal is just fine.

Eating the grilled fish made by the savages, not to mention, the taste is okay.

If there are spices, the taste can be directly upgraded to two grades.

Watching the countdown of the lighthouse in the backpack gradually decrease, Lin Feng came to the edge of the soil slope in the southwest to wait ahead of time.

He has considered and selected the location for the lighthouse construction, and it will be built on the bank on the edge of the soil slope.

As the countdown returns to zero, a reminder that the production is complete will pop up in the prompt area.

Lin Feng couldn’t wait to see what this lighthouse looked like.

In the prefabrication interface, select the placement location and orientation.

Choose OK to place.

In the blink of an eye, a white lighthouse more than [-] meters high appeared in front of my eyes.
