Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

”I can hardly believe my eyes!”

”It’s as if anyone could believe it.”

”To be honest, I had imagined many possibilities before, like Lu Li repeating his terrifying light wave routine that annihilated the starry sky in the Large Magellanic Cloud, or him detonating every star in the Small Magellanic Cloud. There were countless ideas, many of which seemed like they could only appear in science fiction movies. But I really didn’t expect that he’d destroy the Small Magellanic Cloud by creating a ’bubble’!”

”Who the hell could have thought of that?”

”Even if I racked my brains, I couldn’t have come up with that!”

”Exactly, this ’bubble’ looks like a thin layer, not particularly magical. Why can it destroy a dwarf star system?”

”Could someone explain what this ’bubble’ is?”

”Yeah, I didn’t study much, please, someone enlightened explain this.”

The entire Milky Way Galaxy’s netizens were stunned, frantically asking online if any experts knew what was going on.

And indeed, perhaps because this news was so hot, it quickly topped the ”River Entertainment Network” searches, and there really was an expert who stepped forward to explain.

He was an astrophysicist from the Kebi Race.

He looked rather old.

Probably about two hundred seventy or eighty years old.

These details weren’t the key point.

The crucial thing was that many people recognized this expert.

He is known as the top ”physicist” in the current Galaxy Alliance.

In the history of Milky Way physics, he could also be ranked in the top ten.

This giant of a Kebi Race physicist was named ”Lula.”

He explained it like this: ”Although I didn’t witness this ’bubble’ in person, based on various photos and video comparisons, we can surmise that this ’bubble’ should be a massive gathering of Higgs bosons, forming a Higgs Field, which then created a ’low-energy space bubble.’ If my analysis is correct, it’s no wonder such a ’low-energy space bubble’ could instantly destroy the Small Magellanic Cloud.”

Hmm, Higgs bosons and Higgs Field are terms from Earth.

In reality, aliens would surely not call them that.

It’s just that some Earth netizens, using advanced translators, saw these terms.

”Higgs Field?”

”Low-energy space bubble?”

”Professor Lula, can you explain it in more detail?”

Some netizens did understand what the Higgs Field and low-energy space bubble were about, but not all aliens had studied this knowledge. Driven by curiosity, they naturally wanted to dig deep and find out the situation.

Fortunately, Professor Lula was quite kind and patiently explained: ”Long ago, physics proposed a theory on how our universe might end, possibly the most terrifying cosmic end we can think of: the false vacuum theory. We used to think it was just a hypothesis, but now that Lu Li has created such low-energy space bubbles and destroyed the Small Magellanic Cloud, we can define the false vacuum theory as a solid theory. Thanks to Lu Li for making a huge contribution to our Milky Way physics.”

Professor Lula sneakily gave a compliment and then explained in detail: ”To understand what’s a false vacuum, we first need to understand what’s a vacuum in physics. A vacuum is a state with no matter or energy, this vacuum is called ’absolute vacuum.’ However, even in the vacuum we know, fields permeating space, like the Higgs Field, grant particles mass. Currently, it’s commonly believed that when the Higgs Field is in the lowest energy state, the vacuum is in a stable state. Another possibility is that our universe is in a false vacuum state, where the Higgs Field is at a higher energy level than the stable state, meaning this state isn’t truly the lowest energy state. However, its energy is still lower than other possible states. In other words, false vacuum is like a hill on the way to the true lowest energy state.”

At this point, many netizens were still confused, not understanding what those words meant.

Luckily, Professor Lula continued to explain, ”Every physical system has an energy ground state, and states tend to approach it. For instance, when water is poured into a bathtub, it has various rippling waves, and even splashes out, but it will flow quickly to reach the ground state. Water will also notice the drain or the surroundings of the bathtub, and if there’s an opportunity, it will automatically flow out of the bathtub and look for a new, lower ground state. In other words, water in the bathtub is at a local energy minimum within the bathtub, assuming it’s the only ground state available. But if we pull the plug, it will strive to find a new lower ground state and, in the process, obtain a large amount of new energy.”

He paused again, ”And a vacuum represents the ultimate ground state, with no particles or waves, leaving no possibility for energy to be above zero. All cosmic dynamics are driven by energy level differences, similar to the behavior of water when the bathtub is full, whether it’s located on a mountaintop or deep in a mine. The concept of false vacuum suggests that what we think is the universe’s ground state might not be the true ground state, it could transition to a lower state, like draining the water from the bathtub.”

At this point, quite a few clever netizens started to vaguely understand.

Sure enough, Professor Lula validated those netizens’ thoughts, ”Then, why is false vacuum important? Because false vacuum isn’t a stable state, it could collapse into the true lowest energy or ground state. This collapse would release enormous energy and could trigger a cosmic phase transition. During the transition, the Higgs Field would shift from one energy state to another energy state. The issue with this phase transition is that it’s catastrophic for the universe. The energy released during the phase transition is tremendous, potentially causing the destruction of all matter. The phase transition would generate new low-energy bubbles. Previously, we speculated that if these bubbles collided, the energy released when false vacuum collapsed could appear as high-energy particles like cosmic rays or gamma rays, which might significantly impact the evolution of the universe and the formation of structures like galaxies. But after Lu Li’s personal involvement, we now know that the Higgs Field creates low-energy space bubbles, which could essentially annihilate matter, or perhaps there are other possibilities. We still need to head to the Small Magellanic Cloud for further observation to get accurate answers.”

Finally, he summed it up, ”If vacuum decay is one of the universe’s endings, then the Higgs Field’s low-energy space bubble, creating ’false vacuum decay,’ is also one of the universe’s endings. From a material perspective, it might not be as terrifying as a vacuum decay, since it still leaves behind some matter or particles. But from a biological perspective, ’false vacuum decay’ is even more terrifying, because low-energy space bubbles could cover the entire universe at speeds billions of times faster than light. Now that Lu Li can control this low-energy space bubble to only cover the Small Magellanic Cloud, I can only genuinely admire Lu Li, as he truly is the universe’s only True God, and he is so merciful!”

Once Professor Lula explained what the bubble was and what kind of terrifying scenario it could produce, everyone understood.

Immediately, the entire ”River Entertainment Network” exploded with surprised responses from the countless netizens.

”What?”

”This is ’false vacuum decay’?”

”According to Professor Lula, if Lu Li hadn’t controlled the expansion and diffusion of the Higgs Field’s low-energy space bubble, not just the Small Magellanic Cloud, but the entire universe would have been destroyed by this ’false vacuum decay’?”

”Great God August, I used to think Lu Li was capable of destroying star systems. Later, I realized he could extinguish starry skies. Today, I just learned the Small Magellanic Cloud was destroyed. I thought Lu Li’s limit was to destroy dwarf star systems. Only after listening to Professor Lula’s analysis did I realize Lu Li could destroy the universe?”

”Wow, Lu Li is terrifying!”

”Terrifying? I actually think he’s not terrifying at all, but rather a merciful deity. Otherwise, with Lu Li’s power, he could have destroyed far more than the Small Magellanic Cloud. If he let the low-energy space bubble expand and diffuse unchecked, our Milky Way Galaxy would have been wiped out just like the Small Magellanic Cloud!”

”Great, merciful Lu Li, thank you for not destroying the Milky Way Galaxy.”

”At this moment, I finally understand how truly powerful a deity is. To think it’s capable of destroying the entire universe!”

”Lu Li, from now on, you will be the only True God I worship. Other than you, I will worship no one.”

Countless netizens were astonished.

After listening to Professor Lula’s analysis, they truly felt Lu Li’s overwhelming power for the first time.

And they finally understood that the series of things Lu Li did in the Milky Way Galaxy were actually well-controlled.

For instance, destroying the spiritual energy star system, he didn’t even use his power to annihilate starry skies or the low-energy space bubble. Otherwise, the Milky Way Galaxy would probably have turned to ashes by now!

A group of Milky Way netizens was shocked.

That’s because they already knew Lu Li was a ”True God,” so they had some mental preparation.

Little did they know, there are some extraterrestrial beings who didn’t even know Lu Li was a True God until now, and they are likely to be even more shocked.
