Chapter 693: A Beautiful Misunderstanding

Song Qingshu smiled bitterly. “Brother Tang Kuo, aren’t you putting me in an unjust position?”

Tang Kuo Bian shook his head and said, “We Jurchens don’t have as many cumbersome rituals as you Han people. Everything I just said is my true intention. Besides, we swore an oath before. Now that I am dying, there is no issue with you inheriting my wife and property.”

Song Qingshu hesitated. “I can agree to everything else, but as for your wife, how could I…”

Seeing that the other party had agreed to take care of the three matters for him, Tang Kuo Bian was overjoyed. “Hahaha, with Brother Song’s solemn promise, I, Tang Kuo Bian, can rest in peace even in death.”

“Brother Tangkuo, did you even hear what I just said?” Song Qingshu said helplessly.

Tang Kuo Bian sighed. “Do you think I am willing to let another man ride on Gebi? But now, I have no way to survive. Without protection, Gebi will be the most tempting delicacy. At that time, forget Wanyan Liang—even other nobles will want a bite of her. Rather than letting her become a plaything for other men, I would rather entrust her to you. You have the ability to protect her and can also fulfill my dying wish. Moreover, we are sworn brothers. As you Han people say, ‘fertile water should not flow into others’ fields.’”

Song Qingshu was speechless. Tang Kuo Bian only had a half-baked understanding of the Han language. That idiom was definitely misused—though, in a way, it did fit the situation.

“Brother Song, I don’t have much time left. Listen carefully while I tell you about the Tangkuo family…” Seeing that Song Qingshu wanted to say something, Tang Kuo Bian interrupted him and hurriedly revealed secrets known only to himself, ensuring that Song Qingshu could impersonate him flawlessly in the future.

It was unclear how much time had passed. Song Qingshu stood in the room, holding a blood-stained letter personally written by Tang Kuo Bian and his clan leader’s seal. His entire demeanor was desolate. By now, Tang Kuo Bian had already died, his eyes wide open, filled with hatred for Wanyan Liang and an unwillingness to part with life.

The reason for Song Qingshu’s heavy heart was his realization of how powerless he was in the face of death. He could only watch as Tang Kuo Bian’s life faded away. No matter how strong one’s martial arts were, in the cycle of heaven and fate, they were still insignificant.
Of course, the death of his sworn brother also made him deeply sorrowful, even though he had mostly considered Tang Kuo Bian a drinking companion. But especially at the moment of Tang Kuo Bian’s passing, when he entrusted everything to him, Song Qingshu felt the weight of responsibility settle on his shoulders.

Carrying Tang Kuo Bian’s corpse, Song Qingshu activated his Traceless Sand Treading Steps technique and swiftly left the city.

After finding a secluded place, he buried Tang Kuo Bian and made a silent vow: “Brother Tang Kuo, forgive me for this temporary arrangement. Once I have fulfilled your wishes, I will give you a grand burial and return you to the ancestral tomb of the Tang Kuo family.”

Song Qingshu did not follow Tang Kuo Bian’s instructions to cut off his face. After all, he was skilled in disguise and had no need for such a gruesome method. In his heart, the dead should be respected, and leaving an intact body was a universally accepted custom.

Too much had happened that night. Witnessing his sworn brother’s death and his own helplessness left Song Qingshu with a stifling frustration. He needed to vent, and the warmth of a w0man’s b0dy was the best cure for his wounds.

After running around all night, by the time Song Qingshu returned to his room, the night had already passed its latter half. However, the hour before dawn was the darkest, and it was when people slept the deepest.

He did not light a lamp, feeling his way to the bed in the dark. In the dimness, he could vaguely make out the beauty lying on her side, facing away from him, sleeping soundly. The soft curves of her b0dy undulated gently, enough to make any man’s heart race.

Song Qingshu reached out to shake her awake but hesitated. He thought to himself, ‘Madame Tang has already endured a night of extreme emotional highs and lows. If she learns of her brother’s death now, she may not be able to bear it.’

Of course, he also had his own selfish reasons. He urgently needed an outlet for his pent-up emotions. If Madame Tang learned of her brother’s death, it would be far too inappropriate for him to seek comfort from her. 𝐫à𝐍Ồ𝖇Ęṣ

As he gazed at the sleeping w0man, Song Qingshu was uncertain if it was just his imagination, but she seemed even more alluring than usual tonight.

He rarely encountered such an opportunity—seeing a w0man lying defenseless in bed ignited a sense of ill!cit excitement within him, making his heartbeat quicken uncontrollably.

Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Song Qingshu carefully pinched the corner of the blanket and slowly lifted it.

The w0man was wearing only her inner garments, and a large expanse of fair, glowing skin on the nape of her neck was revealed, emitting a tantalizing radiance in the darkness.

Looking at her slender, delicate neck, Song Qingshu felt his b0dy grow even hotter.

In a hurry, he stripped off all his cl0thes and cautiously climbed into the bed, pulling the quilt over both of them.

Inside the blanket, the w0man’s fragrance was intoxicating.

His dragon quickly tensed up, growing as hard as iron. He felt as if he were on the verge of exploding and desperately needed the soothing embrace of a w0man’s warm wetness.

There was one fundamental difference between men and w0men—w0men were highly sensitive to scents and could easily tell if their husband had been with another w0man. Men, on the other hand, found it much harder to detect such differences.

Thus, in his careless excitement, Song Qingshu failed to notice that the fragrance emanating from the w0man in the bed was completely different from Madame Tang’s!

Pressing his b0dy against hers from behind, he wrapped his arms around her, his hands skillfully undoing the last layer of her cl0thing. To avoid waking her, he even used sword Qi to silently slice through the fabric, effortlessly str!pping her bare.

Though the darkness obscured his vision, his instincts told him that the w0man in his arms was a breathtaking beauty.

His heated, stiff member pressed between her legs, her full, supple buns fitting snugly against his abdomen, leaving no space between them.

At that moment, Song Qingshu fully appreciated the softness and elasticity of her skin. A single caress sent a shudder through his entire body.

Reaching around to the front, he grasped her full, perky mounds. The exquisite sensation beneath his palm filled him with boundless delight.

‘This Madame Tang is truly a rare beauty,’ Song Qingshu mused to himself. ‘Each time with her feels like a brand-new experience.’

The sleeping beauty showed no signs of waking, her breaths smooth and steady, entirely unaware of the predatory hands roaming her b0dy—or of the hardened weapon pressing dangerously close to her most intimate place, trying to pry open the pink petals and enjoy the sweet nectar within!
