Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 439: Advantages & Creation of Abilities

Liora sat cross-legged in her room, staring at the miniature world before her with faint interest.

The world was not very big, barely stretching for a few meters in diameter.

Yet, as soon as it materialized in the outside world, Liora could sense a supreme suppressive force descend.

If she were to target any Greater Devil with it, the opponent would instantly lose more than 80% of their strength.

At the same time, breaking out of this world would be nearly impossible for them.

”According to the information I previously gathered, the effects of a nascent World of Heart are almost negligible early on.”

”Although this stage is equivalent to an Archdevil, its combat power is far from it. Or at least, this is the case when the practitioner has neither practiced nor created any techniques.”

”If they wish to obtain the suppression ability of my World of Heart, they need to expand it and transform it several times.”

Liora quickly realized the first benefit of integrating her soul space with her World of Heart.

Her World of Heart was... extremely sturdy and balanced in all aspects.

As long as she projected it outwards, even beings of the same level would lose part of their strength as if they were stuck in a quagmire.

Of course, Liora understood that this was far from the only advantage.

Perhaps the most significant change was that Liora’s strengthening of her World of Heart would be many times easier than for others.

The rate at which she could improve was unimaginable for other people. Especially those who were familiar with this peculiar power system.

”All I have to do is improve the strength of my soul and temper it. Since it and my World of Heart are interconnected, the latter will also improve.”

In fact, Liora could sense her World of Heart become increasingly powerful with each passing second.

The natural expansion of her soul space was akin to her consuming several soul-related treasures.

It was only a matter of time before her World of Heart would transform.

”I can feel that my World of Heart’s main focus is becoming more real.”

”Once it has fully shed its illusory nature, I’m afraid it will be equivalent to an ordinary demi-plane.”

”If it is then expanded further and gains the characteristics of a world, it will transform into a lower-level world.”

Liora couldn’t help but feel shocked once she made that guess.

Wouldn’t that be equivalent to her carrying a world with her wherever she went?

At that point, was she even a Devil anymore?

Moreover, unlike other practitioners of this power system, whose combat power was relatively weak due to the lack of means, Liora had the advantage of having obtained the inheritance of her predecessors.

In particular, the Ancient Devil-level technique left by the palace’s owner was truly eye-opening for her.

It contained several methods to utilize the World of Heart to enhance one’s combat power.

Among them, projecting it outward to suppress opponents was the most basic and most primal one.

”No wonder the Universe Chamber of Commerce is so keen on obtaining this inheritance.”, Liora sighed.

”I’ve only just taken a look at it, but my strength has transformed.”

”If I were to face the two Archdevils at the moment, I would be able to suppress them without the need to use the Snake of Time.”

”Just projecting my World of Heart would have been enough to kill them.”

Of course, Liora didn’t get lost in this excitement and lose her composure.

Being able to suppress Creation Stage Devils was indeed impressive, but not what she truly sought.

Her current enemy was a Throne Stage expert after all. And, judging by their ability to establish a big organization in Hollow City, they were bound not to be ordinary at this stage.

”The easiest way to improve my strength further is to fully master my World of Heart. Besides that, the other way is...”

Liora’s eyes narrowed. Her mind moved, and she summoned the System Panel.

...

...

Two new concepts had been integrated into her Throne, clearly the result of her opening her World of Heart.

This indeed helped her take a step closer to reaching the Throne Stage.

Unfortunately, it was far from being enough to support her to take that leap.

Integrating concepts into the Throne was only the start for Archdevils.

If one wished to become a Throne Stage Devil, they had to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts rather than simply increase their numbers.

And that was exactly what Liora was lacking.

”Unfortunately, the Evolution System cannot help me in that department. Otherwise, the Evolution Points I’ve accumulated would have been enough to reach the Throne Stage.”, Liora shook her head with regret.

But she didn’t remain disappointed for long.

The Evolution Points she had in her possession were enough for her strength to undergo another transformation.

”Although I can’t reach the Throne Stage at the moment, nothing is stopping me from having the power to contend against one.”

”Abilities are indeed far less useful once one becomes an Archdevil. But that also depends on the ability.”, Liora thought.

With a move of her mind, she summoned the long-lost Ability Creation Panel.

A trace of nostalgia flashed across her eyes.

It had been quite some time since she used the System to create an ability. When she recalled, it was just before her descent to the Demon Weapon World.

This was partly because there was no need for it, and partly because she was saving her Evolution Points for the right time.

And now, the time to use them had come.

Her eyes narrowed.

Countless lights flashed in her field of vision.

Several of her ideas were pieced together, combining into abilities that best suited her needs.
