With a crisp sound, the section of the purple Cosmic Root deep within a valley suddenly broke apart. And with that, a heart-wrenching pain surged through Yu Zi Yu’s true body, causing even Yu Zi Yu to furrow his brow.

Unlike other roots, this Cosmic Root, akin to the one Yu Zi Yu used to transform into the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon, was one of the meticulously cultivated roots among his eighty-one secondary roots.

In simple terms, severing this root would reduce Yu Zi Yu’s overall combat strength.

Although, relative to Yu Zi Yu’s main body, this loss of strength was negligible, the Cosmic Root capable of transforming into the Cosmic Willow Tree still bore a part of Yu Zi Yu’s power, and Yu Zi Yu had severed this root.

In addition, the Void Rift started to close… as if it was disappearing.

“With this, the connection between this section of Cosmic Root and my main body is completely severed. Even if it perishes, it won’t lead to my main body… And also…” murmuring, the Humanoid Figure, shrouded in purple glow within the valley, slowly raised his right hand.

*Crack, crack…* With fingers as slender as if they were meant for playing the piano, the figure clenched its fist, creating bursting sounds as if the air itself was crushed.

This was the body of an Elf.

Now, under the guidance of his Innate Talent—Absolute Evolution—this part of Yu Zi Yu’s Cosmic Root had fully simulated the form of an Elf: pointed ears, long wavy purple hair, and deep amber-like eyes with a purple hue.

Moreover, this Elf wielded Void Energy, much like Latia, a ‘Fallen Elf,’ as the Elf Clan called those who had embraced darkness for power.

Of course, neither Yu Zi Yu nor Latia had embraced Dark Energy. They had embraced Void Energy, which was far more terrifying and formidable than the Dark Energy.

However, this was not all. The Psychic Energy remaining in Yu Zi Yu’s Elven Form could only sustain him for a few years. And if he fought with full strength, it could only last through a dozen battles.

Nonetheless, it still was not satisfactory to Yu Zi Yu. After all, what he was going to be doing was a matter of great consequence for this world.

With this in mind, Yu Zi Yu flipped his hand over.

Soon, under his expectant gaze, a pitch-black Willow Tree with a dark, shadowy luster began to slowly rise from his palm.

This was the Dark Willow Tree, also the source of Yu Zi Yu’s Innate Talent—Absolute Evolution. Previously, it was known as the ‘Sea Beast King,’ a monster who was able to evolve into any creature and possess its abilities.

When it was facing Yu Zi Yu, manipulated by him, it decided to copy Yu Zi Yu’s true form, which ultimately resulted in its consciousness getting erased, leaving it as nothing more than a mindless husk.

However, nurtured by Yu Zi Yu’s vitality, this Dark Willow Tree remained vibrant and full of life. Upon closer inspection, this palm-sized Dark Willow Tree, suspended in the palm of Yu Zi Yu’s Elven Form, had branches extending in all directions, as if stretching.

“Now, it’s time for you to play your role.” With a light laugh, Yu Zi Yu no longer hesitated.

Suddenly, the Humanoid Elven Figure, surrounded by a purple glow, shuddered violently, Spiritual Energy surging around it.

Immediately after, much to the astonishment of Latia and Bernice, it transformed into a blob of purple liquid.

Adding more to the duo’s dread, this blob of purple liquid began to flow towards the palm-sized Dark Willow Tree suspended in the air.

*Gulp, gulp…* As if swallowing, the Dark Willow Tree started absorbing the purple liquid in the air, bit by bit.

With every bit of purple liquid swallowed, the Dark Willow Tree grew a bit bigger. And as it grew, its branches intertwined with each other to weave a pair of arms, and its roots into long, slender legs.

Slowly but surely, under the influence of Yu Zi Yu’s Innate Talent, the Dark Willow Tree was taking the shape of an Elf.

The Dark Willow Tree, also known as the Sea Beast King, possessed the Innate Talent to evolve into any creature. However, its consciousness had long been erased, leaving only its physical form.

Now, Yu Zi Yu, using the Cosmic Willow Tree, was pushing it to evolve into an Elf, thereby familiarizing himself with this sensation.

Later, when he had fully merged into the Dark Willow Tree’s body, he could control the Innate Talent of the Dark Willow Tree himself and start the true evolution.

After all, Yu Zi Yu’s Innate Talent—Absolute Evolution—required Spiritual Energy support, and it was a temporary transformation. Whereas the Dark Willow Tree could truly evolve into a new species, and this process was irreversible.

That was why Yu Zi Yu was transforming into an Elf using the Dark Willow Tree’s body.

This way, even if someone discovered Yu Zi Yu’s current form, they would not be able to recognize him as an entity from another world.

More importantly, Yu Zi Yu had always intended to forge the Dark Willow Tree into an External Avatar. And today, he was doing a test run.

…

After an unknown point of time, a light laughter suddenly echoed in the valley. Yu Zi Yu had finally grown accustomed to his new body.

Immediately afterward, with deafening rumbles and fearsome quakes, a purple storm manifested from thin air, slowly but steadily growing larger and more intense, eventually filling the entire canyon.

This was a Spiritual Energy Storm.

Its inexplicable force shook the entire canyon. The terrible winds it generated forced the surrounding trees to bow, or even uproot.

However, right at this moment, high up in the sky…

*Crackle…* A silver lightning bolt, hundreds of meters long, suddenly tore through the sky, descending like a Lightning Dragon. Accompanied by a deafening thunderclap that echoed like a roar.

*Booooooom…* With a thunderous explosion, the bolt of lightning struck the valley, flooding it with a blinding silver light, momentarily illuminating every corner of the landscape.

Rocks shattered into dust. The ground sank, transforming the valley into a ravine.

Yet, amid this apocalyptic scene, a purple ball of light with a diameter of 3-4 meters quietly floated in the air.

Upon closer inspection, one could see three blurred Humanoid figures within the purple light ball.

“A Tier-4 Lightning Tribulation, and so weak!?” with a hint of disdain, a laughing voice echoed in the air.

The Dark Willow Tree was originally at Tier-3, but now, enhanced by Yu Zi Yu’s power, it was naturally normal for it to endure and cross the Tribulation.
