The Fishmen King–one of the Seven Kings of the Deep Sea Clan, possessing features half-Human and half-fish.

Unlike Merpeople, who possessed the upper body of Human and lower body of fish, the Fishmen possessed the upper body of fish, lower body of Human. Maybe because of the fact that they possessed the upper body of a fish, Fishmen were more brutal and cold, compared to the Merpeople’s elegance and nobility.

Furthermore, despite possessing pretty good heads on their shoulders, they mostly relied on instinct.

This Humanoid figure, wearing a narrow-sleeved long gown of ice-blue color, with blue-colored cloud patterns embroidered in silk at the hem and cuffs, and indigo trousers tucked into brocade boots, appeared noble and extraordinary.

However, if one were to raise their gaze, they would see a terrifyingly ferocious visage—a  fierce and hideous shark face with a hint of brilliance on its dark-blue skin.

He was the Fishmen King – Milton Hall.

The ‘Hall’ in his name was the surname of the Royal Family of the Fishmen Clan in the last era.

It could be said that this surname also symbolized the nobility and extraordinariness of the Fishmen King’s bloodline to a certain extent.

And now…

*Thud…* With a step forward, the sea started seething, as if welcoming a King, creating huge ripples visible to the naked eyes. Amidst these rising ripples, Milton, with a speed difficult for the naked eye to perceive, rushed towards the direction of the vast grassland.

…

Over the long three years, the Seven Clans of the Deep Sea had already fostered a unique civilization, imitating Humans.

Now, they had even established kingdoms deep in the sea.

Milton Hall was the King of the Fishmen Kingdom.

Nonetheless, the Seven Sea Kings of the Deep Sea had always remembered their deep-seated hatred.

The memory of the day, their greatest Sage was cut down by a Leaf from a Towering Tree, was still etched in their minds.

However, considering the terrifying strength of that monstrous Tree, many of the Deep Sea Kings chose to remain silent.

However, their silence didn’t mean that they had forgotten it.

Their hatred only grew deeper with the passage of time.

[‘A grudge must not be forgotten.’] With this pledge engraved into their hearts, the Seven Deep Sea Clans had never their vigil over the mainland, and even Misty Mountains.

When Misty Mountains pointed their swords towards the continent, they naturally knew about it at first notice.

More importantly, they discovered that the Tree Monster had not appeared so far, as if it was still sleeping.

What did this mean?

With a cruel smile emerging on his face, Milton couldn’t help but chuckle, gazing in the direction of Misty Mountains.

“If several of your generals are killed, I believe you will get to experience the pain of losing loved ones as well,” Milton’s hoarse voice was filled with such strong killing intent that it caused the air around him to turn colder.

As a matter of fact, this was a decision solely made by Milton.

If other Kings were to find out, they would surely do everything to stop him. Simply because compared to Milton’s momentary impulse, other Kings deeply understood the terrifying consequences of angering the Tree Monster.

They knew that despite their extraordinary strength and the fact that they could hide in the unfathomable depths of the sea, if the Tree Monster were to become furious, destroying a part of the sea would be a piece of cake for it.

At that time, the casualties suffered by the Sea Clansmen would not be limited to just in the tens of thousands.

This was also the main reason why other Kings had yet to take action.

Silence was a necessity until they possessed enough strength to truly confront the Tree Monster.

However, unfortunately, not every King thought with their mind.

The former Sea Beast King was like this, and so was the Fishmen King, Milton.

…

Meanwhile, on the vast expanse of Great Prairie…

Golden Ant, standing straight, hovered calmly high up in the air, with blood-red vapor continuously dancing around him like flames.

*Haaa…* Exhaling a long, deep breath, Golden Ant gradually calmed down his seething Spiritual Energy.

The entire battlefield had finally settled.

While powerful Transcendents kept pouring in, the entire battlefield had already fallen under the control of Misty Mountains before a strong opponent capable of facing Golden Ant appeared.

At a speed visible to the naked eye, Mutant Beasts were routed like a landslide, chased by countless rats with bloodshot eyes.

Even if some strong Transcendent suddenly erupted, they would be greeted with a thunderous punch from Golden Ant the very next moment.

In the face of such terrifying power, not to mention them, even Gorewolf King ended up gravely injured and was counting breaths.

It was a testament to how hopeless it must have been for those aspiring strong Transcendents.

In a flash, even someone as strong as Tier-3 Transcendents of the Wolf Clan decisively chose to retreat.

*Aooo~, Aooo~, Aooo~…*

*Roar, Roar, Roar…*

Listening carefully, those mournful wolf howls and beast roars became the perfect song under the setting sun.

However, the attention of the peak powerhouses of Misty Mountains, such as Golden Ant and Bull Demon, was not really on this battlefield, whose curtain was about to fall.

Compared to this battlefield, they were more concerned about their Elder Sister, Nine Tails.

The temporary breakthrough brought not only temporary strength but also a severe side effect.

Nine Tails was renowned for her control over Spiritual Energy, considered as the best in Misty Mountains.

However, now, her Spiritual Energy was unstable.

It spoke volumes about how precarious Nine Tails’ condition was.

“Elder Sister…” calling out in concern, Bull Demon frowned as he looked at the figure not far away, wrapped in crimson tails one after another like a bundle.

At this point, Nine Tails’ figure was nowhere in sight; all that was visible were her tails surging with Spiritual Energy, wrapping her into a ball, with ripples spreading over the surface.

Vaguely, one could make out a fox-shaped figure within the crimson sphere, trembling slightly, as if suppressing something.

Just at this moment, Golden Ant’s pupils contracted suddenly, as if sensing something.

“Elder Sister’s problem must have been caused by herself,” in a somewhat certain tone, Golden Ant, who had long since stepped into the Realm of Sovereign, stated.

“Herself!?” The nearby Qing Gang voiced his confusion.

“Yes, herself.” Nodding again, Golden Ant continued explaining, “I can feel a terrifying force rising within Elder Sister, but it seems that Elder Sister is rejecting it, trying to suppress it as much as possible…”

At this point, Golden Ant’s pupils slightly shrank.

At this moment, if one followed his gaze, they would discover that the figure inside the sphere had illusory chains bound around it one after another.

Like a seal, but also like a restraint.

“Is that so…!?” Muttering, Bull Demon became lost in thought.

Once, by chance, he had heard his Master mumbling to himself, ‘Nine Tails is not as simple as she seems on the surface. As a member of the Celestial Fox Clan, considered the most mysterious in the last era, Nine Tails is not inferior to those from the Apex Races. Rather, she even surpasses them in extraordinariness. But despite her incredible Talents, she has been unable to demonstrate the true power of the Celestial Fox Clan. Although she is powerful, her strength is still within the scope of one’s imagination, while the strength of those Apex Races is truly beyond one’s understanding. This means Nine Tails may not have truly awakened the power of her Celestial Fox Bloodline…’
