“Divine Tree, let me go.”

With a gentle bellow, Bull Demon had already stood up, his large copper bell-like eyes staring straight at Yu Zi Yu.

“No.” Yu Zi Yu decisively refused Bull Demon’s request.

Mutant Beasts like them were different from Humans. They did not have any means of communication like Humans do. If they lost their way in the wild, they would have nowhere to turn to help. Moreover, the desert in the north stretched endlessly. Where would he search, and how?

“Divine…Tree…” Bull Demon pleaded once again, his face filled with earnestness.

“No, regardless of how you plan to find Nine Tails, your strength alone can hardly sustain a search in the desert.” When he mentioned this, Yu Zi Yu noticed a hint of disappointment flicker deep within Bull Demon’s eyes.

*Ha* A sigh escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips, feeling a little compassionate. He changed the subject, and added, “If you can break through, I’ll allow you to go.”

“Breakthrough!?” murmuring, Bull Demon’s originally dim eyes suddenly brightened, and his tail started swinging left and right in an excited manner.

Just then, as if he remembered something, Bull Demon requested on his own, “Divine Tree, may I go to the Spirit Stone Plaza?”

“Okay.” Nodding, Yu Zi Yu watched Bull Demon making his way toward the depths of the underground, his eyes flickering.

Among the few Great Beasts, Bull Demon’s Innate Talent was not that outstanding. However, he excelled in diligence.

Although he lay beside Yu Zi Yu all day, he had been silently absorbing the Spiritual Energy that Yu Zi Yu inadvertently dispersed. This way, Bull Demon had managed to amass enough Spiritual Energy over time to reach the peak of Tier-0 Level 9, just a step away from breaking through.

And now, he requested to go to the Spirit Stone Plaza… if things went as expected, he should breakthrough. After all, the Earth-Attribute of the Spirit Stones was a great match for Bull Demon…

*Ha…* Shaking his head, Yu Zi Yu sighed helplessly.

If not for Nine Tails, Bull Demon would have probably stayed by Yu Zi Yu for several weeks, deepening his foundation to prepare for the future.

“He is really like a bull.” Whether it was out of helplessness or pity, Yu Zi Yu began to absorb the Earth-Attribute Spiritual Energy of the Spirit Stones through the roots buried deep in the ground.

Not long after…

*Boom…* As the Spiritual Energy circulated through him, a visible vortex of Spiritual Energy rose around him. In an instant, it expanded to encompass the entire North Canyon.

From a distance, the towering vortex reached even the sky, churning the clouds mist. It looked completely vast and majestic.

“What’s going on with Master?” Roaring, White Tiger and the others looked at this spectacle in astonishment.

“He should be cultivating,” with his arms crossed, Golden Ant standing on a large tree responded in a low voice. However, a hint of surprise appeared in his eyes at the spectacle.

[Merely the act of cultivation had caused such a phenomena. Master, just how powerful are you?]

…

Just then, within the vortex storm, a strand of yellow energy surged upward. It was vast and heavy, akin to the embrace of a nurturing mother earth, capable of containing all things.

“The Power of Earth,” murmuring, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes could not help but flicker.

This was the essence he had refined after absorbing the Spiritual Energy of the Earth-Attribute of the Spirit Stones. However, this essence was too concentrated, far beyond what a Tier-0 Mutant Beast could absorb.

*Ha…* A sigh escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips as he emitted a suction force. In an instant, with his acquiescence, the Power of Earth coiled around his true form like a long snake. At the same time, one after another, Rock Flowers bloomed quietly at the tip of his tree.

Rock Flower—An Earth-Element Spirit Flower far superior than the Life Essence. It’s extremely beneficial to the Earth-Attribute Mutant Beast.

And now, Yu Zi Yu was refining the Rock Flowers by absorbing the Earth-Attribute Spirit Stones. As a consequence, he felt his connection with the earth deepen.

Slowly raising his gaze, as his gaze focused, a distant patch of earth suddenly shook.

The next moment…

With a deafening boom, a three-meter-high wall of earth rose from the ground.

“The control over the Earth Element has also improved a bit.”

Yu Zi Yu did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Laugh because absorbing the Earth-Attribute Spirit Stones had further increased his Spiritual Energy, and even his control over the Earth Element had improved. In other words, his strength had increased a bit.

Cry because the price he had to pay for this was his connection getting stronger with the earth, to the point where it became shackles. Moreover, according to Yu Zi Yu’s conjecture, if he were to reach the peak of Tier-2 by absorbing the Earth-Attribute Spiritual Stones, he might end up like a prisoner, deeply imprisoned by this profound earth.

The Power of the Earth was indeed too heavy.

And strength was all about complementing support. Being a non Earth-Attribute Mutant Creature, absorbing too much Power of Earth naturally came with consequences.

Yu Zi Yu shook his head; he was not too overly concerned about this.

With his current strength, he should be able to dissipate these aftereffects in time. But now, the most important thing was to help Bull Demon breakthrough.

With these thoughts in mind, Yu Zi Yu picked the Rock Flowers bloomed on his body with his branch and took them underground.

…

Underground plaza…

After having been polished for a long time by Yu Zi Yu and many Mutant Beasts, the uneven Earth-Attribute Spirit Stones had been smoothed out, and were now radiating a hazy halo.

Now, it looked as if a layer of crystals had been laid on the ground.

In some corners, the Spirit Stones had dimmed due their Spiritual Energy being absorbed by the Mutant Beasts. Yet, this dimness did not diminish the beauty of the underground plaza, but rather made the entire underground plaza warm.

At this moment, Bull Demon lay in a corner of the underground plaza where the halo was dimmest.

This was where he cultivated.

As an Earth-Attribute Mutant Beast, his absorption speed of Earth-Attribute Spirit Stones was extremely terrifying, to the extent that the nearby stones had lost their luster.

Right at this moment, as if he had sensed something, Bull Demon suddenly raised his body.

Looking up, he caught sight of a few flowers slowly drifting in the air, radiating energy that he was most familiar with.

*Mooo…*

Bull Demon instantly let out an excited bellow as his eyes glimmered with an intelligent gleam.

“Divine…Tree…”

Muttering, Bull Demon’s loyalty and devotion to Yu Zi Yu increased a bit further.

Bull Demon knew that Yu Zi Yu should not absorb Earth-Attribute Spirit Stones. However, now, in order to lend him a hand, the Divine Tree had once again absorbed a large amount of Earth-Attribute Spirit Stones to refine the Rock Flowers.

How could Bull Demon ever repay such kindness?
