Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 586 Experience

”Iʼm sorry, Ross. I didnʼt think it would turn out this way,” Nicole said softly, her voice laced with disappointment as they drove back to the hotel.

The city lights blurred past the car window, but her thoughts were elsewhere. This wasnʼt Parkland City anymore—it was her hometown, a place that should have felt welcoming but now felt suffocating.

Ross glanced at her and gave a reassuring smile.

”Donʼt worry, love. Itʼs not your fault.” His tone was gentle, but beneath the surface, his mind was already working, calculating.

He had been insulted, dismissed as if he were nothing, and that was something he would not let slide.

He was already planning how to turn the tables, how to make that so-called perfect coupleʼs life take an unexpected and cruel twist. The thought sent a thrill through him, his excitement barely contained.

Nicole exhaled, staring at her hands in her lap.

”I just didnʼt expect my parents to be so... uncivil,” she admitted, her voice tinged with hurt. She had grown up in luxury, in a family where expectations were set in stone.

From the moment she could understand, she had been told she would inherit the family business, that she was meant to be a powerful executive, carrying on the legacy of generations before her.

But Nicole had never wanted that life. She found her passion in acting, in creating stories, in becoming someone new with every role.

It made her feel alive in a way boardroom meetings and business negotiations never could.

Her parents had tolerated her choice at best, but they had always held onto the hope that she would come to her senses. And Ian—he had been their golden boy.

He came from wealth, from a respectable lineage that matched theirs. He was everything they wanted for her. But Ross? He was different.

They had never approved of him, but now it was clear they outright despised him.

The way they had looked at him, the way they had dismissed his achievements, made it obvious they believed every scandal and rumor the media had spun about him.

Nicole turned to Ross, searching his face for any sign of anger, but he looked calm, almost too calm.

”Ross... youʼre not mad, are you?” she asked hesitantly.

Ross chuckled, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.

”Mad? No, love. Iʼm just thinking.” His eyes gleamed with something unreadable.

”After all, itʼs only fair that they get a little taste of their own medicine.” Ross mused these words in his mind.

Nicole frowned slightly, sensing something beneath his words, but she said nothing. She could only hope that whatever Ross had in mind wouldnʼt spiral out of control.

The couple spent the day lost in each other, using their intimacy as a way to melt away the stress that had built up over the past few days.

Wrapped in each otherʼs arms, they found solace, their passion reaffirming the bond they shared.

As evening approached, they ventured out, indulging in a luxurious shopping spree, strolling through high-end boutiques and charming local stores.

Nicole delighted in trying on elegant dresses, while Ross, ever the doting fiancé, enjoyed spoiling her, insisting she take whatever caught her eye.

Afterward, they dined at one of the cityʼs finest restaurants, savoring exquisite dishes while toasting to their future.

The following days were spent exploring the cityʼs vibrant streets, visiting famous landmarks, and immersing themselves in its lively culture.

They tried various thrilling activities, from boat rides to amusement parks, laughing and enjoying the carefree moments.

At every stop, they took countless photos and videos, capturing their joy and love in every frame.

For an entire week, they lived in the moment, shutting out the outside world and the lingering disappointment of Nicoleʼs family. But eventually, reality called them back.

With their hearts full of memories, they returned to Parkland City, ready to move forward. Regardless of her parentsʼ approval, their wedding plans would continue.

Nicole had made her choice, and Ross was determined to give her the perfect future—whether or not her family was part of it.

After that week, Ross wasted no time in taking action. With a flicker of intent, he unleashed his divine sense, letting it sweep over Nicoleʼs parents like an invisible tide.

Every secret, every hidden transaction, every skeleton buried deep in their pristine, high-society image—nothing escaped his notice.

Their wealth, their business dealings, their social connections, and even their personal vices were laid bare before him.

He leaned back in his chair, drumming his fingers against the armrest as he processed the information.

”Hmm… how should I make your lives a little more interesting?” he mused, a wicked smirk forming on his lips. He wasnʼt the type to lash out in blind rage—no, that would be too easy, too crude.

If he was going to retaliate, it had to be a masterpiece, a slow, intricate unraveling that they wouldnʼt even see coming until it was far too late.

Ideas swirled in his mind, each one more tempting than the last. He could cripple their business empire overnight, expose their dirtiest secrets to the world, or turn their closest allies into enemies.

But no—he wanted to be more creative than that. He wanted them to suffer in a way that was personal, a way that would make them regret ever looking down on him.

It only took him a few more minutes of careful planning before a thrilling idea took root. A slow grin stretched across his face as the details fell perfectly into place.

”Game on,” Ross murmured, chuckling darkly as he closed his eyes, ready to put his scheme into motion. The real fun was just about to begin.

Ashley Fleming was a busy woman. Not only was she breathtakingly beautiful, but she also had the intelligence and drive to match her looks.

Everything she set her mind to inevitably turned into a success, not just because of her privileged background but because of her sheer determination.

Coming from an old, wealthy family certainly gave her the capital and opportunities to carve out her own path, but it was her relentless work ethic that made her a force to be reckoned with.

She was an overachiever in every sense of the word, someone who refused to settle for anything less than excellence.

Yet, even someone as capable as Ashley wasnʼt immune to exhaustion.

”Hahhh…” she sighed deeply as she leaned back against the plush seat of her car, rolling her shoulders in an attempt to ease the tension.

The day had been long, filled with back-to-back meetings, endless emails, and the kind of decision-making that left her mentally drained.

But at this moment, what she felt the most was the dull ache in her back—an unfortunate side effect of her impressive bust.

As much as she appreciated the attention her figure often brought her, there were times like these when she wished she could trade a little of that allure for some comfort.

Ding!

The soft chime of a notification broke her out of her thoughts. With a tired sigh, she parked her car and stepped out, the cool evening air offering some relief after a day spent in high heels and boardrooms.

As she walked up to her mansionʼs grand entrance, something unusual caught her attention—a warm, inviting aroma drifting from inside.

Ashley paused for a moment, inhaling deeply. The scent was unmistakable. Someone had been cooking.

”Did you cook, dear?” she called out as she stepped inside, slipping off her heels and stretching her aching toes. A flicker of surprise laced her voice.

It had been ages since her husband had prepared a meal for her.

Their household staff typically took care of all their meals, and with their chef on a paid week-long leave, Ashley had mentally prepared herself to cook tonight.

Yet the rich, savory scent filling the air suggested that someone had already beaten her to it.

”Yes, I did. Come up here and taste what I prepared for us tonight,” came her husbandʼs voice from the kitchen.

Ashleyʼs curiosity piqued, and her stomach, which she had barely noticed all day, suddenly reminded her that she hadnʼt eaten properly.

She made her way to the kitchen, expecting maybe a simple meal—some pasta or a quick stir-fry.

Instead, she stopped in her tracks, eyes widening in shock.

The dining table was covered with a feast. Dishes upon dishes, meticulously prepared, their aromas mingling into a symphony of flavors.

Perfectly grilled steaks, steaming bowls of fragrant soup, an assortment of side dishes, and even a beautifully plated dessert waiting to be served.

It looked like something out of a five-star restaurant, except it was right here, in their home.

And in the middle of it all, standing by the counter, was her husband, casually finishing up the final touches with a focused expression.

Ashley blinked, momentarily at a loss for words. Then, a slow, genuine smile crept across her lips. It had been a long time since someone had cooked for her—not out of duty, but out of love. The exhaustion weighing her down suddenly felt lighter.

Stepping forward, she leaned against the doorway and crossed her arms.

”Well, well… looks like someone has been busy. Should I be worried that youʼre planning to steal our chefʼs job?” she teased.

Her husband turned to her with a smirk, gesturing toward the table. ”Only if you say this tastes better than what they make.”

Ashley chuckled, shaking her head as she walked over. ”I guess thereʼs only one way to find out.”

As she took a seat, she realized that, for the first time that day, she truly felt at ease.
