Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 577 Profile

Nicole shook her head, laughing weakly at herself. ”Itʼs nothing. Iʼm just… happy.”

Ross smirked. ”Iʼm happy too, but you donʼt see me crying. Youʼre such a big baby, Nicole.”

His teasing tone made her chuckle through her tears, but the emotions twisting inside her didnʼt ease.

How could they, when she had just realized the truth?

Somewhere between the long hours of filming, the stolen moments between takes, and the electric chemistry they shared on screen, she had fallen in love.

Not with the character he played, not with the scripted romance they had performed for the cameras—but with Ross himself.

It hadnʼt been intentional. She had never meant for this to happen.

But now, as she stood before him, her heart in turmoil, she knew there was no denying it.

The worst part? She wasnʼt free to love him.

There was Ian. The man who had been waiting for her outside of this movie, the man she was supposed to love. The man who had trusted her.

A fresh wave of guilt crashed over her. If she confessed her feelings to Ross, she would betray Ian. If she ignored them, she would be betraying herself.

She was trapped between two choices, both of which would end in pain.

So she did the only thing she could do in that moment.

She stood there, crying silently in front of the man she loved, unable to speak the words that weighed so heavily on her heart.

And Ross—whether he understood the depth of her turmoil or not—simply watched her, his expression unreadable.

”I guess I am. Or maybe I was, but not tonight.” Nicole straightened her shoulders, putting on a determined expression. ”Tonight, Iʼm going to be a big, mature Nicole. Come on, Ross, letʼs drink!”

With that declaration, she strode toward the liquor stash, her steps light but purposeful.

The makeshift church was dimly lit, the scent of old wood and lingering incense mixing with the distant sounds of laughter from outside.

She rummaged through the liquor boxes and pulled out three beers—two for herself and one for Ross.

When she returned, she handed Ross a bottle before eyeing the two remaining ones in her grasp. She exhaled, nodding to herself as if reaffirming her resolve.

”Really now?” Ross arched a brow, amusement flickering in his eyes.

”So weʼre actually drinking? Youʼre not going to chicken out like last time and start ranting about how beer is bad for your health?”

Nicole scoffed, puffing out her chest in mock offense.

”I wonʼt, I promise! Iʼm big, mature Nicole right now, remember?” She wiggled her brows before handing one of her bottles to Ross.

Ross chuckled, shaking his head as he expertly popped the cap off both bottles.

”Alright, letʼs see how ʼmatureʼ you really are.”

She accepted the opened bottle and, with a deep breath, took two bold gulps. The bitter taste hit her tongue immediately, but before she could even pretend it wasnʼt affecting her, she coughed loudly.

”Hak. Hak. Hak.”

Ross laughed, crossing his arms as he watched her struggle. ”Right. Big, mature Nicole, huh?”

Nicole wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, her face slightly flushed—not from the alcohol, but from embarrassment. ”That was just—just an initial reaction! I wasnʼt ready for the taste!”

Ross smirked. ”Uh-huh.”

Ignoring him, she took another sip, this time slower, trying to hide the way her face scrunched up at the aftertaste. Ross, meanwhile, popped his own bottle open with his thumb and took a casual sip, clearly unfazed.

”Letʼs eat first before we drink more,” he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and steering her toward the food table. ”I donʼt want you getting wasted, puking everywhere, and turning this place into a disaster zone.”

Nicole sighed dramatically. ”You have so little faith in me.”

Ross chuckled. ”I have exactly the right amount of faith in you.”

She narrowed her eyes at him but didnʼt protest. Deep down, she knew he was right. If she was going to make it through this night without embarrassing herself, sheʼd need something solid in her stomach.

As they walked, Nicole glanced at Ross out of the corner of her eye.

Tonight felt different—maybe it was the setting, maybe it was the drinks, or maybe it was just the two of them, together, in this strange, fleeting moment.

Whatever it was, she had a feeling this night would be one to remember.

”Eat!”

”Drink!”

”Eat more!”

”Drink more!”

”Letʼs sing!”

”Letʼs dance!”

”Letʼs dance and sing!”

Laughter and music filled the air, echoing through the grand, dimly lit church.

The wooden pews had been pushed aside to make room for the celebration, and the once-solemn space was now alive with energy.

Candles flickered, casting warm glows on the stained-glass windows, their colors reflecting against the moving bodies swaying to the rhythm of an upbeat tune.

At the center of it all were Ross and Nicole, lost in the moment, swept up in the wild, intoxicating freedom of the night.

The party raged on around them, but to them, it was just the two of them, caught in a rhythm that felt unbreakable.

In the past, Ian would have been there—hovering close, watching over Nicole, keeping her in check like a silent guardian. But this wasnʼt Parkland City.

The production had moved the shoot to a different location, one with a massive, awe-inspiring church that perfectly fit the filmʼs atmosphere. And without Ian around, there was no one to keep Nicole in line.

Tonight, Nicole was free. And she was wild.

She had let go of all inhibitions, her usual restraint tossed aside like an empty beer bottle. She laughed loudly, without care. She drank greedily, without second thoughts. She danced, her body moving with reckless abandon, clinging onto Ross as if he was the only thing keeping her grounded.

Nicole had always been affectionate, but tonight, it was different. Her touches lingered longer.

Her hands trailed over Rossʼs arms, his chest, the nape of his neck, tracing lazy patterns as if committing the feel of him to memory.

She leaned in close, whispering something in his ear, her lips brushing against his skin in a way that sent shivers down his spine.
