Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 535 Cinema

”A president? No, no. Thatʼs not a path I would choose. Iʼve seen the burden of leadership, the endless stress and the constant need to appease everyone. I donʼt envy anyone in that position.” He paused, his eyes narrowing slightly as his smile grew more enigmatic.

”There are far more… interesting things on my to-do list than simply becoming a president.”

The interviewer blinked in surprise, clearly taken aback by the unexpected answer. The room grew still, all eyes now on Ross. What he had just said wasnʼt what anyone had anticipated.

He continued with a hint of mischief in his voice.

”I suppose a life of endless political games doesnʼt quite appeal to me. Iʼve built something much more powerful, something that stretches far beyond any nationʼs borders. Iʼm working on something that will change the world—not just one country. Youʼll see.”

The interviewer, though a professional, couldnʼt mask her curiosity.

”And what might that be, Mr. Oakley? Care to enlighten us, or are you keeping the world guessing for now?”

Ross leaned in slightly, his smile turning playful as he glanced at the camera.

”Ohhh, if I told you now, it would ruin the suspense, wouldnʼt it? Some things are better left unsaid until the right time comes. Rest assured, when the moment is right, everyone will know what I have planned. It will be… unforgettable.”

The air in the room seemed to crackle with tension.

His words hung in the air, an unspoken promise that whatever Ross Oakley was planning, it would be monumental.

The interviewer nodded, sensing the gravity of his words.

She composed herself, moving on with her questions, though her mind seemed to linger on his cryptic response.

”I suppose weʼll have to wait for the grand reveal then. But speaking of the Oakley Foundation, your work has expanded exponentially over the last few years. What drives you to continue giving, especially when youʼve already achieved so much?”

Rossʼs smile softened slightly, but there was an edge to it—a subtle shift that suggested he was no longer just playing the charming philanthropist.

”I donʼt do it for recognition. I do it because I can. Because I have the power to make a real difference. And when youʼre in a position like mine, with the resources and the influence Iʼve gathered over the years, it becomes your responsibility to use it for something greater than yourself.”

He leaned forward, his voice dropping just enough to command attention.

”But even that… is just a stepping stone. The real work is yet to come.”

The interviewer paused, sensing the weight in his words.

Ross had always been a man of action, not just words, and she couldnʼt help but wonder what his next move would be.

Whatever it was, the world would undoubtedly feel it.

And not for the better, of course. Ross was selfish, always prioritizing himself and his own interests.

The world was changing, and as always, he intended to be at the very top.

No matter how chaotic things became, no matter how many people fell into despair, he would only rise higher, carving his own path to dominance.

The days blurred together, filled with indulgence and power.

Most of them were the same and also different depending on how one looked at it.

Ross was content to spend his time with his family, enjoying the luxuries that his wealth and influence provided.

From time to time, he attended business meetings to oversee the continued expansion of his empire, though much of the actual work was handled by his subordinates.

Most of his personnel were his undead puppets, bound to his will, but even he knew the importance of maintaining a balance.

It would be foolish to rely solely on the dead. A thriving empire required more than just obedient husks.

There had to be a layer of real, living people—managers, supervisors, and high-ranking executives who could maintain the illusion of normalcy and ensure the business remained functional in the eyes of the world.

There was also the matter of appearances. Celebrations were necessary, not just as a show of prosperity but as a way to maintain connections and manipulate those who still had value to him.

And what use was a grand gathering if the only attendees were lifeless, emotionless puppets?

It would be laughable.

No, there needed to be real people—those who still breathed, still feared, still desired.

That was why, despite his overwhelming control over the undead, Ross ensured that his empire also thrived with human employees.

They had their roles to play, whether they knew it or not.

It was during one such yearly celebration that she appeared.

The moment he laid eyes on her, something shifted.

He was a man who had seen countless beauties, conquered more women than he could count, yet this one… This one stood out.

There was no need for words; it was already decided.

She would be his next target, his next obsession, his next possession.

For a man of his power, there was no such thing as too many wives.

Even if he took a trillion, it still wouldnʼt be enough. He was more than capable of handling them all, and he would continue doing so until the end of time.

Ross moved through the crowd, engaging in casual conversation with his many wives, but his focus never wavered.

His eyes remained locked onto her.

She was stunning—breathtaking even—but what intrigued him most was how effortlessly she concealed it.

She wore a modest yet refined gown, a mint-green masterpiece of understated elegance.

The fabric draped gracefully over her figure, covering her from neck to ankle, its long sleeves ensuring that even her arms remained hidden.

There was no daring neckline, no provocative slit—just pure sophistication.

The dress left little for the imagination, yet somehow, it only enhanced her allure.

Perhaps it was the way it complemented her poise, her quiet confidence, or the air of dignity she carried herself with.

Her dark, lustrous hair was swept into a bun, leaving her delicate features unobstructed.
