Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 393 Calendar

”Don’t you ever get tired?” Penny asked one night, her tone sharper than she intended.

It had been three exhausting months of her weekend outings, and Ross had been there for every single one of them.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday—no matter where she went, no matter how far she tried to run, Ross always found her.

She had switched clubs and bars more times than she could count, but it never made a difference.

Wherever she went, he was already there, waiting.

With Ross around, her nights were anything but peaceful.

His presence alone was enough to scare off most men who dared approach her, his piercing gaze a warning no one wanted to test.

But occasionally, a brave—or foolish—soul would ignore the warning signs.

Those nights always ended in chaos.

Ross had gotten into more than a few fistfights on her behalf, and one particularly bad night, he took on several men at once.

He came out on top every time, barely ruffled, as though the fights were nothing more than an annoyance to him.

If nothing else, Ross was a skilled troublemaker—just as adept at starting fights as he was at walking away from them without so much as a scratch.

”I could say the same thing to you, Penny,” Ross replied, his voice smooth, with an edge of mockery.

”You’re as stubborn as that foolish husband of yours.”

He tipped back his glass, draining the last of his drink in one effortless motion.

It was his first of the night, but Penny knew it wouldn’t be his last.

He raised the empty glass, signaling the bartender for another.

The man behind the counter didn’t need to be told what to pour; Ross had become a regular, his preferences known to everyone in Parkland City’s nightlife scene.

Ross wasn’t just known for his NBA fame—though that alone would have been enough to make him a legend. Discover hidden tales at .Côm

No, what cemented his status was his generosity. His tips were always in the four digits, and it wasn’t just the bartenders who adored him.

Servers, valets, even the bouncers—everyone who worked in the service industry loved him.

He was their favorite kind of customer: rich, charismatic, and impossibly generous.

To them, he was a hero. To Penny, he was a constant headache she couldn’t escape.

As the bartender set another glass of Ross’s favorite drink in front of him, Ross leaned back in his seat and smirked at her.

”You keep running, Penny. But you and I both know how this ends. You’ll stop fighting it eventually. Everyone does.”

Penny narrowed her eyes, her jaw tightening.

”You’re awfully confident for someone who doesn’t even know what I want.”

Ross chuckled, the sound low and infuriatingly self-assured.

”Oh, I know what you want, Penny. You just haven’t admitted it to yourself yet.”

Her hands clenched into fists under the table. She wanted to argue, to tell him he was wrong. But the words wouldn’t come.

Ross raised his glass to her, his smirk deepening.

”See? You can lie to everyone else, Penny, but it’s hard to lie to yourself. The funniest part is watching you force yourself to believe your own lies. That’s dangerous, you know—it can make you sick.” His tone was calm, almost teasing, but his words carried a weight that lingered in the air between them.

He didn’t press further, letting the silence settle as he turned his attention back to the glass of strong liquor in his hand.

Ross wasn’t a man who needed constant conversation; he found satisfaction in moments like these.

Drinking while in the company of a beautiful woman—even one as quiet and conflicted as Penny—was far better than drinking alone.

With a small smile, he downed the remainder of his second glass and casually raised it again, signaling the bartender for another serving.

”Fine. I give up. You win,” Penny said suddenly, her voice heavy with exhaustion. She let out a deep sigh, then leaned her head against Ross’s broad shoulder.

Ross froze for a moment, his usual confidence momentarily shaken by her unexpected gesture.

For months, Penny had resisted him at every turn, putting up a fight both at home and during their encounters.

Her sudden surrender caught him off guard, though he recovered quickly.

Penny didn’t elaborate, but the weight of her words was clear.

She wasn’t just conceding to Ross—she was acknowledging the battle she’d lost with herself and her husband.

She was tired, utterly drained from fighting a war on two fronts: the fragile battlefield of her marriage and the relentless mind games with Ross every weekend.

It was heartbreaking, but also, in some small way, liberating to stop resisting.

”It’s your win too, Penny,” Ross said, his voice softer than usual.

”I’m going to show you the life you’ve been missing.”

The smirk he usually wore faded into something gentler, more possessive.

He glanced at her as she rested against him, her vulnerability striking in contrast to the defiant woman he’d been sparring with for three months.

Carefully, he placed a kiss on the top of her head, savoring the moment of triumph.

Then, sliding his arm around her shoulders, he pulled her closer, his hold firm and protective.

It was a gesture meant to claim her—a quiet declaration that Penny Summers now belonged to him.

For the first time in a long while, Penny let herself relax. She closed her eyes, her mind quieting as the fight drained out of her completely.

Whether this was surrender or acceptance, she wasn’t sure anymore.

Ross, meanwhile, smiled to himself, his confidence returning in full force.

He had been prepared for a much longer chase, but Penny had come to him sooner than he’d anticipated.

Still, he didn’t take it for granted.

He knew how to play the long game, and now that she was his, he intended to show her exactly why she’d made the right choice.

An hour later, the two of them found themselves standing in front of a love hotel.
