Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

213: Chapter 214 External Network ReactionThe change of champion in King of Singers caused quite a stir on the foreign internet.

The news spread first; the videos needed to be reviewed and subtitles readjusted, so their upload was delayed. Initially, when people saw the news, they simply found it unbelievable.

[Are you kidding me? Lu Qingyu won against Levi?]

[The Program Production Team wouldn’t have cheated, would they? How could someone who makes movies win against a professional singer?]

[I don’t believe it. Caesar and Levi are so excellent, there must be some shady dealings.]

Foreigners first expressed various doubts, refusing to believe that an unremarkable young man could defeat their country’s Levi. They were convinced that the Dragon Country people were biased towards their own, and thus cheated in the program.

Chinese netizens angrily watched their comments but did not reply, instead silently uploading the videos.

Just you wait, once the video is uploaded, let’s see how you’ll shut up.

While the foreigners were passionately cursing, the video finally went up. These people clicked on the video, wanting to see what Lu Qingyu’s stage performance was like, so they could criticize it with valid reasons.

However, after everyone actually saw the video, they could only gape in shock, their jaws dropping. This was even more astonishing than hearing the news earlier.

[Is he really that good at singing? Why haven’t I heard of him before?]

[No way, isn’t he an amateur? An amateur singer with such strength?]

[This song is really good, I’m so shocked.]

[Are there any professional musicians who can watch the video and see if it’s live singing?]

With more comments, naturally came more doubts. Some suspected Lu Qingyu was lip-syncing because when his highest note came out, the timbre was almost identical to an instrument, not even sounding human.

So netizens began frantically @-ing professional musicians, asking them to check if it was lip-syncing.

Jack is a professional musician whose daily job is to react to videos of singers from various countries. He has over 2 million followers on Instagram, and his account is quite famous among similar bloggers.

Most of his reaction videos about Chinese singers come from the variety show King of Singers, so he is very familiar with the program.

However, for the latest season of King of Singers, he made reaction videos for four singers. Aside from Caesar and Levi’s live performances, he selected several performances that had received good reviews so far, but he was largely disappointed.

Ordinary, too ordinary.

These performances deviated too much from the standard he knew for this show.

How could the standard be this low?

The singers’ performances were clearly not as good as in previous seasons. It’s no exaggeration to say that Caesar and Levi’s live performances were international standard, while the others’ performances were completely outclassed.

The latest singer, heavily promoted by everyone, is named Lu Qingyu. This person is quite controversial. Jack briefly glanced at the online comments: he is very young, debuted recently, and isn’t even a professional singer; he seems to be a ’traffic’ star.

Among the terms related to Lu Qingyu, there’s also avatar, a movie he knows that was incredibly popular abroad when it was released, and game of thrones, a TV series currently airing that everyone around him is discussing. Lu Qingyu is apparently the owner of the company that produced these two film and television works.

However, so many impressive titles attached to one person only made Jack feel it was unreliable.

Jack had originally decided not to do any more King of Singers music reactions, but suddenly a large number of fans pleaded with him to do one more episode because they suspected the young man named Lu Qingyu in the latest episode was lip-syncing.

As a singer, lip-syncing is a shameless act, and Jack dislikes it the most. Unexpectedly, this episode had so much controversy, so Jack decided to do one more episode at the fans’ request.

If King of Singers involved lip-syncing, it would definitely be a huge talking point.

Setting up his equipment and preparing the video to watch, Jack began recording.

Before recording, he had already gathered a lot of relevant information.

As the recording began, he sat in front of the camera and said:

”Today, we’re going to enjoy a song from the King of Singers program. As you all know, I particularly love the first five seasons of King of Singers. I’ve done many reaction videos for the singers, and I really admire some of the veteran artists among them.”

”I’ve also done four episodes for the latest season, but so far, this season, apart from Levi and Caesar’s live performances, I haven’t found a song I particularly love. Today’s song is quite controversial, but it has been recommended by many people. I estimate this will be my last reaction to the King of Singers program. Now, let’s watch it together.”

After Jack finished speaking, he clicked open the video. The familiar stage, the familiar lighting. Jack’s attention wasn’t as focused as usual.

His attitude towards this song wasn’t as serious as before.

When the music started, what surprised him first was that Lu Qingyu didn’t sing in Chinese or English, but in Russian.

There’s a saying, ’An expert shows their skill at the first move.’ After just two lines, Jack felt that this performance seemed extraordinary.

Jack straightened his expression and began to listen attentively to the song.

The video had already been processed by netizens; they specifically added English subtitles to make it easier for foreigners to understand.

But even without looking at the English lyrics, Jack could feel the emotions expressed in the song.

Jack nodded as he listened, his fingers unconsciously tapping on his leg to the rhythm of the music.

It was beautiful, truly beautiful. From the arrangement, the lyrics, to the emotions expressed within the song, everything was rich.

Especially when the D5 high note came out, in an instant, Jack’s scalp tingled, and he couldn’t help but cover his head and let out a scream.

His face flushed with excitement: ”Wow! That’s amazing, that’s amazing!”

Jack started clapping; this was true music.

It could stir people’s emotions to create resonance.

After listening to the song, he felt a sense of breaking free from constraints, as if he was filled with power and ready to pursue his dreams.
