Emperor’s Domination

Taking three million years to become a heaven ancestor was a brilliant achievement. Ocean-gaze was proud of this but who could he talk to about it?

Others looked up to him while those equal were mere strangers. This achievement and success were his to enjoy all alone.

Now, he spent his birthday alone and had to prepare longevity noodles himself.

“First time making one.” He looked at the bowl of noodles and murmured.

He recalled the previous celebrations. During his eighth-thousand party, his descendants filled the hall. At one hundred thousand, he started a formal clan. It became prosperous with many successful cultivators.

However, once he turned one million, he escaped to Sea of Heavenly Sin and was alone. At two million, he had become a primal ancestor and created Imperial League. This time, he had visitors from all over Old World. Desolate Frontier, Trinity, Immortal Gate, and many others sent members to celebrate.

Alas, the prestige didn’t bring him as much happiness as his loved ones and friends. He only thought about becoming a primal ancestor then but once he did, he found himself all alone.

Now, his current birthday was so simple - just him and a bowl of noodles. Worst of all, there was a looming threat right above.

Nevertheless, he enjoyed making the dish and found a little happiness in it.

“It’s been a while since I had this.” He murmured.

The bowl itself wasn’t special, not made from special noodles or water. Shadow Emperor had obtained the noodles from the mortal world.

He recalled his early days when he was a child. An old man in the village had a birthday celebration. Since the old man liked him, he was given a noodle bowl.

He had forgotten the taste since it’s been so long. Now, another bowl from the mortal world interested him more than anything else.

“Whoosh!” Suddenly, a meteor descended straight for his island.

“Damn!” He reacted quickly and leaped out of the grotto and the island.

“Boom!” It smashed his grotto, resulting in a crater and tsunami pushing outward.

“My... my longevity noodle...” He only cared about his nearly-finished noodles, not his grotto. Tears nearly streamed down his cheeks.

“What noodle?” Li Qiye appeared nearby and asked while riding a deer.

“Longevity noodle for my three-millionth birthday, do you know how long it’s been since I last had a bowl?” He complained.

“How long?” Alch-deer asked.

“Since I was three...” He stared at the new crater.

“That’s a long time.” Alch-deer nodded: “Same for me, when I was five thousand, Dragon-pill called me a fawn. The monkey in the mountain talked about how it’s a tradition in the mortal world to eat these noddles.”

He sympathized with the primal ancestor since now, that monkey was no longer in this world.

“It’s okay, you can do it next year.” He said.

“It won’t be an even number next year.” Ocean-gaze said.

“Then wait three million years more years, I’ll make you one then.” Alch-deer said.

“Nonsense.” Ocean-gaze was utterly frustrated since he didn’t even get to drink the soup.

“Noodles, no, but there might be longevity. Look, it’s here again.” Li Qiye patted his shoulder and said.

“Buzz.” Light emanated from the crater.

“What’s that?” Ocean-gaze focused up and saw a stone slab covering the crater like a lid.

“Since it’s your birthday, I’ll get you something else.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Something else?” He wasn’t sure what was below.

“Go down there and see.” Alch-deer said.

“He’s right, fetch what you can, whatever you get will be your present.” Li Qiye said and slapped him down the crater toward the slab.

“Bam!” He couldn’t react in time and disappeared from sight.

“Can I go too?” Alch-deer stared enviously.

“You better have the skill for it so no. Just be a good deer and maybe one day, you’ll become an immortal deer.” Li Qiye said.

“That’s fine, that’s fine, just adding the word ‘immortal’ to the front is good enough for me.” Alch-deer was happy to hear this, shaking his head and wagging his tail.

“Boom!” Suddenly, a colossal creature landed before them, shattering peaks like nothing.

Its imperial aura surged forth like tidal waves, submerging everything in its path. This was an emperor with twelve dao fruits.
