Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Treasure Chest FloorIn a blink of an eye, the morning passed.

The system also gave another prompt.

“Beep, the floor the Host is about to enter is the Treasure Chest Floor, with two Black Gold Treasure Chests. The Host needs to defeat the monsters on the Treasure Chest Floor to open the treasure chests.”

“Beep! There are 10 monsters on the Treasure Chest Floor: four Slimes, two Beastmen, and four Mindless Knights.”

“Beep! Treasure Hunter mission triggered. The Host will receive double rewards for opening the treasure chests after killing all monsters.”

“That’s so powerful!”

Lin Feng immediately geared up without a word.

When checking his ammunition this time, he also loaded grenades.

Since he hadn’t encountered these monsters before and was unsure of their attack power, it was safer to bring all his best weapons.

“Ding dong! The Elevator is descending, please hold on tight.”

........

Soon, Lin Feng opened the Elevator door.

As soon as he stepped out, four skeletons (Mindless Knights) charged towards him.

“Holy crap! An ambush right after opening the door, huh!”

Lin Feng quickly rolled to the side, while the Little Velociraptor directly tackled one of the skeletons, pinning it to the ground and continuously tearing at it.

These skeletons weren’t pure skeletons; their brains were surprisingly still intact, just exposed.

Lin Feng didn’t know how that was possible.

However, it didn’t stop him from killing them.

After firing several shots that pierced their brains, these monsters finally died.

These must be the Mindless Knights; Beastmen and Slimes are easier to distinguish.

At first, Lin Feng was curious about what these Mindless Knights were; turns out, they were just this—truly mindless.

Squish! Squish!

....

Lin Feng followed the sound and found four Slimes had already surrounded him, and the two Beastmen had also closed in, though they were temporarily held back by the Velociraptor.

Boom!

Since the Slimes’ movement speed wasn’t fast, Lin Feng easily created a safe distance, then fired a grenade at them.

The four Slimes instantly exploded into eight.

The squishing sounds were very annoying.

Lin Feng quickly reloaded his grenade launcher, then fired another shot. This time, the Slimes directly split into sixteen, and their movement speed also increased significantly.

“Damn it! Still splitting!”

Lin Feng cursed, then his peripheral vision caught the Little Velociraptor struggling a bit, so he quickly fired several shots at the Beastman that was preparing to attack the Little Velociraptor.

The original four large Slimes splitting into sixteen smaller ones also made them much faster.

Lin Feng wasn’t paying attention, and the Slimes got close. Helpless, Lin Feng could only raise his gun and spray wildly.

He fought while retreating, and after emptying a magazine, these Slimes finally stopped moving.

Now only one Beastman remained.

The Little Velociraptor’s combat power was incredibly strong; it quickly bit the Beastman to death.

The Little Velociraptor had been hit a few times, but looking at its lively appearance, it seemed to be fine.

“Good job, this is your reward.”

Lin Feng took a piece of smoked dried lamb from his backpack and threw it to the Little Velociraptor.

“Awoo~~”

After killing the monsters, two black treasure chests suddenly appeared on the floor.

These must be the Black Gold Treasure Chests.

Lin Feng thought to himself, then went over and opened the Black Gold Treasure Chests.

The contents of the two treasure chests were: 10 gold coins, one chainmail armor, one blood bottle with a note attached that read, “Healing Potion: restores injuries when drunk.”

Finally, there was a ring engraved with two words: “Lucky.”

“This, could it be for increasing luck?”

Lin Feng scratched his head, immediately feeling it was very possible. Just then, the system’s voice rang out.

“Beep! Congratulations, Host, on completing the mission. All items opened from the treasure chests have been doubled.”

The next moment, every item was refreshed and appeared again next to the treasure chests.

The items from the treasure chests became: twenty gold coins, two chainmail armors, two healing potions, and two lucky rings.

Lin Feng first put the two rings on his fingers, then put away all the remaining items.

He wouldn’t wear the chainmail armor yet; he could wear it when he went to a new floor next time.

Lin Feng originally wanted to throw the two Black Gold Treasure Chests into the scrap pile, but the scrap pile wouldn’t take them. After he threw them in, they were thrown back out.

Since even the scrap pile didn’t want them, Lin Feng decided he wouldn’t mind. He casually placed them in a corner, then opened the chat room, preparing to see if anyone wanted to trade items with him.

After opening it, there was still a large number of private messages. After clicking “filter all,” Lin Feng checked the Exchange.

No one had made a trade.

However, the number of collectors had increased significantly.

Perhaps he had returned too quickly; most people probably hadn’t completed their floor yet.

Afterward, Lin Feng ate something and continued to exercise.

..................

Two hours later, Lin Feng drank a bottle of water and looked at the screen again.

“Holy crap, someone actually traded!”

Lin Feng saw the red dot on the Exchange and quickly opened it, then found that the two fever-reducing pills had been traded.

All the items obtained from the trade had also been extracted.

One hundred kilograms of copper plus twenty kilograms of iron.

After putting all the items into the scrap pile, Lin Feng clicked on “Upgrade Elevator.”

A moment later, the Elevator upgrade was successful. Same old routine, the Elevator’s range expanded, and the ventilation system was also upgraded.

The workbench also changed, with a grinding machine added.

In addition, something new appeared at the Elevator entrance.

“Triggered Poison Needle Trap: Can be activated once after each floor. It can automatically identify friendly and hostile targets. When a hostile target passes by, it will automatically fire a poison needle, and the hostile target will die from poisoning within one second.”

“This thing is awesome.”

Lin Feng looked at it and decisively clicked “Activate.” There was also a setting to add to the friendly list. All that was needed was facial recognition, and the facial recognition device could even be detached, which was very user-friendly.

Lin Feng’s own data was already on it.

But not the Velociraptor’s.

“Little Dragon! Come here.”

“Awoo?”

The Little Velociraptor heard the call and quickly ran over from the pond, still holding an unfinished fish in its mouth.

“Come, face—no, dragon-face authentication.”

Saying that, Lin Feng picked up the Little Velociraptor and made its face face the device for facial recognition.

The next moment, the four large characters “Added Successfully” appeared on the screen.

“Okay! Go play.”

After Lin Feng put down the Little Velociraptor, he no longer paid attention to it.

He estimated that a few more fish had spawned in the pond. It could eat if it wanted to; it was best if it grew up quickly.

That way, it could fight alongside him. Its combat power was already so strong before reaching adulthood; what would it be like when it was an adult?
