Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Elevator upgradeJust as Lin Feng was organizing his items, a message popped up on the screen: the transaction was successful.

Lin Feng received 2 gold coins directly.

The upgrade materials were also sufficient; earlier, on the Forest Floor, Lin Feng had filled the remaining space in his cowhide backpack with wood and iron.

Now, the materials for upgrading the Elevator were just enough.

After taking out all the materials, Lin Feng clicked on upgrade.

Soon, all the materials disappeared into thin air, and the Elevator underwent a drastic transformation; this upgrade was more intense than the previous ones.

Its size at least doubled, and a table and a chair appeared.

Besides these, there was also a new area: the Material Stacking Zone.

According to the description, this place is for storing upgrade materials; if you put the materials needed for an upgrade into it, they will automatically disappear and increase the progress. When the progress is full, the Elevator can be upgraded.

However, no other items can be placed inside.

But being able to store upgrade materials is indeed good, after all, the resources consumed for each upgrade are very large, and piling them all up in the Elevator takes up too much space.

After Lin Feng put in all the remaining wood and iron, he still needed: 200 kg of wood, 150 kg of iron, 5 kg of gold, and 19 gold coins to upgrade the Elevator to Level 5.

”Ding, congratulations Host for completing the upgrade mission. Rewards have been issued.”

”Ding, upgrade mission triggered. Please Host upgrade the Elevator to Level 5. Reward: Time Extension Card * 5.”

This system is really powerful.

Lin Feng smiled inwardly, then checked his upgrade rewards.

Two universal medical kits, containing everything, even allowing for minor surgery in the wilderness.

And there’s no need to worry about how to use them.

According to the description, once you choose to use it, your body will automatically operate.

It’s similar to using a health pack in a game.

As for the Time Extension Card given for reaching Level 5, Lin Feng could somewhat guess its purpose, after all, in this world, the only time limit is the time the Elevator closes after entering a floor.

This Time Extension Card should extend the time the Elevator remains open.

Just then, two more messages popped up on the screen; the remaining two carp were also sold, and Lin Feng received another 4 gold coins.

However, he still needed 15 gold coins. If he could go to the Trading Floor again, it would be great; he could also find a way to get some gold coins for himself.

”Oh, right, let’s see what’s in the pond.”

The Little Velociraptor should have understood what Lin Feng said at the time; five freshwater shrimp spawned in the pond, and it didn’t even run over to scoop them up and eat them.

Of course, it might also be because it was too full.

Each of these five shrimp was only as big as Lin Feng’s index finger; honestly, they were flavorless and not worth keeping.

Even if listed on the Exchange, at this stage, no one would likely be willing to buy such unsatisfying food with gold coins.

So Lin Feng could only grill and eat these five shrimp.

”Awoo~”

”Uh, I almost forgot about you.”

Lin Feng stroked the Velociraptor’s head, then took out a piece of dinosaur meat and threw it over.

Unexpectedly, the Little Velociraptor picked up the meat and placed it on the induction cooker.

”Awoo~”

”Holy cow, you want it cooked?!”

Lin Feng took a sip of water, then seriously started grilling the meat with the Little Velociraptor.

Although there was no oil, some parts of the dinosaur meat looked fatty, so it shouldn’t burn directly.

Soon, a dinosaur steak that looked about medium-rare was out of the cooker; only the top and bottom were cooked, with blood still in the middle. Lin Feng didn’t dare to grill it further, fearing that with his skill, it would burn directly if he continued.

After throwing it to the Velociraptor, it stuck out its tongue and licked it, perhaps finding it a bit hot, and didn’t bite into it immediately.

I have to say, this little guy’s intelligence is quite high.

And it’s growing relatively fast; Lin Feng felt that if he fed it well for another month or so, this Velociraptor should be able to fight for him.

The five small shrimp Lin Feng just ate were definitely not enough to fill him up.

It must be because of the Body Strengthening Pill; his appetite was growing day by day.

Before, one can of food could last almost a day, but now, after only a few hours of eating, Lin Feng felt a bit hungry.

There should be some goat fat inside the goats; if he refined it well, he might get some cooking oil.

Thinking of this, Lin Feng took out the two goats from his cowhide backpack.

”Roar!”

”Don’t eat!”

Lin Feng patted the Velociraptor’s head, and it immediately, understandingly, carried its steak and ran a bit farther away.

”Awoo~~”

”Hmm, just stay there and eat your steak obediently.”

Lin Feng nodded in satisfaction, then took out a sharp machete and began to cut the goats.

Goat fat is usually near the tail; although these goats probably wouldn’t have much fat, there should be some.

Just as Lin Feng was about to make the cut, he suddenly remembered that this was inside the Elevator.

One cut would surely cause a lot of blood to flow out, and then he would have to clean the Elevator; he decided against it.

After Lin Feng put the two goats back into his backpack, he decided to process them on the next floor.

As for food, he would continue to eat canned goods, but after eating them for so many days, Lin Feng was truly tired of them.

After eating and drinking his fill, Lin Feng heated a large pot of boiling water, and after it cooled down, he poured it into water bottles.

Although the water in the unlimited pond was very clean, Lin Feng still preferred to drink boiled water.

After completing his daily exercises, it was already 8 AM.

Lin Feng was preparing to go to the next floor again.

He checked his pistol magazines; all three were full, but his spare ammunition was running out quickly. His shotgun was also loaded, and he carried 10 spare shells.

Soon, Lin Feng was fully armed.

With a shotgun on his back, a machete at his side, and a pistol in his hand, this set of equipment was probably top-tier among all Seekers.

At least so far, Lin Feng hadn’t seen any Seeker with a firearm.

However, weapons like bows and crossbows should exist; they were sold in the Exchange, but the prices were quite high, and most required gold coins for Exchange.

Currently, most Seekers had upgraded their Elevators to Level 2, so the demand for gold coins was also growing.

”Ding, the floor the Host is about to enter is the Desert Floor. No danger, no usable items.”

”Ding, random mission triggered: Desert Oasis. Please Host place two bottles of water on the Desert Floor. Mission Reward: 10 bottles of 1L drinking water.”

”Alright, this floor is perfect for processing the goats.”

Lin Feng put down his shotgun, keeping only his pistol and machete. The system said there was no danger on the floor, so there definitely wouldn’t be any.
