Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

In the next few days, for the whole world, it could really be called a storm brewing.

First, Visbania held a press conference, announcing that it had already found the murderer who killed the former Queen of the Kingdom of Visbania and the Prince, which alone shocked quite a lot of people. After all, just half a month ago Visbania was still saying the Queen and Prince died in an accident, and now it suddenly turned into murder?

But what they didn’t expect was, that wasn’t the end of it. Right after, Visbania dropped another bombshell: the murderer who killed the Queen of Visbania and the Prince was Duke Gilad, and the one who planned all this was the CIA. They had even tried to attack Princess Mira, who was about to ascend the throne, so Visbania caught them red?handed, evidence and suspects all in one!

The instant this news came out, the whole world was stunned.

It’s not that catching Americans in the act is some rare miracle, but normally, even if such agents are captured, they’ll be used to bargain politically with America in exchange for some benefits. Basically most countries handle it that way; it’s the ”unwritten rule” of the global intelligence community. Yet now Visbania actually put the whole thing right out in the open and made sure everyone on the planet knew about it — that was a bit beyond what anyone had imagined.

Not to mention, Visbania also stated it would execute Duke Gilad and the captured CIA agents on charges of treason and murder... this was a straight slap across America’s face!

For a while, the eyes of the whole world were focused on these two countries.

The reason it drew so much attention was simple: even though America in recent days had been tormented by the Peace Envoy until its people could barely live, its economy shrinking, nobody really knew whether its military strength had actually been affected.

On the surface, America looks practically done for, like it’s about to completely collapse any minute. But it’s still a country with over two hundred overseas bases; whether its military force has really taken a hit, unless someone goes up and actually smacks the tiger’s ass, who can say if this is a real tiger or just a paper one?

However, this kind of thing isn’t something any ordinary country can pull off. The UK, France, and Germany are longstanding American allies; it makes no sense to knock down their own teammate’s stage. China and Russia might be tempted, but as the saying goes, even a rabbit will bite when cornered; they’re also afraid that if they make a move, America will just turn around and dump all its domestic troubles onto them — after all, America is getting bombed non?stop these days while things are peaceful and stable on their side. Why go out of their way to stir up a mess? Isn’t it better to quietly watch it die slowly?

But now, Visbania jumped out.

This young upstart seemed determined to prove that a newborn calf really isn’t afraid of the tiger, and slapped this heavyweight champion right in the face with one big swing. So next, the whole world would be watching to see how America responded.

If this heavyweight champion chickened out, then it would mean America was completely finished, and everyone could seize the chance to join in on kicking the collapsing wall.

If this heavyweight champion struck back in fury and beat the upstart black and blue, then it’d prove the old blade was still sharp, and everyone had better keep quiet and focus on making a fortune first.

As for Visbania’s move, although countries around the world felt it was over?aggressive, it wasn’t exactly incomprehensible. I mean, America plotted in secret to kill Visbania’s Queen and her next heir, and even tried to kill the Princess who was about to ascend the throne — that’s basically trying to wipe out the whole line. If they still didn’t rise up in fury now, they might as well surrender and become a colony.

But on the other hand, this also raised doubts in other countries.

Everyone knows the political intelligence world rarely goes this far, and Visbania sits in Eastern Europe, not part of the anti?American camp, and has never really had any conflict with America. So why would America suddenly get bored and decide to slaughter their whole family? If this were Cuba or Iran, we could still understand, but Visbania is a normal country built mainly on tourism, with virtually no influence in international affairs. Most of the time it’s like a little nobody. America suddenly goes crazy and picks on them?

If something’s this out of character, there has to be a monster under the bed. So go investigate!

Just like every country plants moles inside the Black Organization, they all plant moles inside one another too. Soon, quite a few nations activated the undercover agents they’d placed in both countries to find out what exactly was going on with America, and why it suddenly targeted Visbania.

It couldn’t be that the President had too much to drink and just randomly pointed at a spot on the map, right?

There’s no such thing as a completely airtight wall in this world. Very soon, intelligence dossiers about Visbania Ore were laid out in front of senior officials in the major powers. After reading these files, these top brass were also shocked.

There’s actually something this good?

This stuff is thousands of times more useful than nukes!!

It can’t just be used to build missiles; it can also be used to build tanks and planes. If the output is large enough, they could completely form an absolutely ”invisible” armored Legion, okay!!

No wonder America went so insane. If they found out about this, they wouldn’t be much better.

So the other countries also began to act. China and Russia quickly expressed their dissatisfaction and protest over America’s interference in another country’s internal affairs, while the UK, France, Germany, and other American allies kept silent. Their thinking was simple: if America really manages to take down Visbania, it will still be over in the Americas; Europe will still have to help manage things, right? When the time comes, seeing as everyone’s a grasshopper on the same rope, they should be able to get a slice of the pie.

Very soon, faced with Visbania’s angry protests, America also gave its response — it insisted those CIA agents were carrying out a secret mission and were not involved in the murder of the Queen of Visbania and the Prince. It demanded Visbania immediately Release them, or it would impose sanctions on Visbania!

Visbania’s reaction to this was — a global live broadcast of the execution of Duke Gilad and the CIA agents.

Fuck!

Now things really blew up.

America, naturally, was so furious its heels hurt. It’s already pissed off enough, being tormented by a terror group so badly it can’t sleep and has to dive into bunkers every day, and now this little Eastern European nobody also dares to go head?to?head with Laozi? If they don’t show some color, you really won’t know how many eyes the Horse King has, huh!

Sanctions! Cutting diplomatic ties! Blockading sea lanes!

Under normal circumstances, America wouldn’t get this serious with a small country like Visbania. But the timing was wrong; it knew the whole world was watching it. If it couldn’t demonstrate its power over Visbania, then it would really be in trouble.

For this, America even deployed a carrier fleet, basically using anti?aircraft guns to shoot mosquitoes, throwing everything it had at the problem.

At the same time, America’s propaganda machine roared into full gear. Just like everyone had expected, since Visbania had jumped out, America was definitely going to desperately shift its domestic conflicts onto them. Not only that, America slapped a big hat on Visbania — ”Harboring terrorists!”

According to America’s story, the Peace Envoy’s headquarters was actually inside Visbania’s borders, and its CIA agents were sent to investigate this notorious terror organization. But unexpectedly, the group turned out to be colluding with Visbania’s officialdom, the two in cahoots — huh? That’s... actually not entirely wrong, is it?

So America announced the launch of a war on terror!

Target: Visbania!

They were really going to war!!

For a time, every country turned its gaze to Visbania, watching to see how it would respond. From their point of view, Visbania should at this moment already be fully armed and ready to resist the American invasion.

Yet... Visbania issued an announcement saying that in two days, the new Queen’s flower?car coronation parade would be held, and everyone was welcome to come watch.

.........

Meow meow meow?

What the hell?

Faced with this move from Visbania, governments around the world admitted they completely didn’t get it.

They’d assumed Visbania would definitely be on full alert by now — even though Visbania’s military strength really isn’t much, since it has no conflicts with neighboring countries and no need for a large Army. Even if it resisted, it couldn’t possibly beat America’s carrier fleet, but at least it would show some attitude.

But what was with this totally casual stance, as if they didn’t take the other side seriously at all? The carrier fleet was almost there, and they were still busy organizing a flower?car parade?

Had the Queen gone insane?

Even more baffling was that the day before the parade, Visbania’s new Queen Mira gave a national address. On TV, Mira mainly talked about how after her accession she would carry on the Queen’s ideals and make the country prosperous and stable — which left quite a few people staring, speechless. The country’s on the brink of annihilation, and this is what you’re talking about?

Basically, in Queen Mira’s speech she barely mentioned the looming threat right in front of them; only at the very end did she say, ”Any evil existence that attempts to threaten the peace of this land will be annihilated by the Giant Dragon!”

Well, for most people, that sentence basically didn’t mean much.

The next day, the float parade was held as scheduled.

Reporters from all over the world flocked here; they all wanted to see what exactly gave Visbania the confidence to resist America’s invasion. Of course, unlike ordinary political correspondents, most of those who came this time were war correspondents.

That’s right— in their eyes, it was only a matter of time before this city turned into a battlefield.

Although the news said war was already close at hand, most of the citizens still chose to come out and join the parade. After all, most of the people of this country were still loyal to the Royal House of Visbania. They were likewise displeased that America dared to assassinate the Queen and the Prince, but they also knew their country’s strength was far too weak compared to America, almost not worth mentioning — yet at the very least, they still had courage.

And standing on the float, Princess Mira — or rather, Queen Mira — was at this moment raising both hands high.

”My people, I know what you’re thinking. Right now, our country is facing an unprecedented threat. A wicked Shadow is about to descend; with the most foolish lies and the most evil words, they have incited a war — a war that seeks to destroy us. But we will not submit!”

At this point, Princess Mira clenched her fists hard.

”We all know they are coming. However, they will never bring even the slightest harm to this land! Our Royal House of Visbania will guard this land, forever!”

It sounded great, but what means did she have to resist America’s offensive?

Down below, the reporters were broadcasting live while their hearts were also full of questions. Many of them were war correspondents and knew just how powerful America’s military might was. Frankly speaking, although America itself was currently a complete mess, its military strength was still absolutely unquestionable. The lines this young Queen was delivering were very good at winning hearts, but that didn’t change the fate of the war they were about to face.

”—————!!”

And just when everyone was confused, suddenly a sharp shriek tore through the air. People looked up, only to see several fighter jets flying in from the distance!

”Those are America’s fighters— they actually flew straight into the capital?”

Seeing this scene, many people cried out in shock. They had originally thought that at the very least Visbania would set up some kind of air defense. Yet... they did nothing at all, and just let the enemy in directly?

Just what kind of move was Visbania playing here?

”This is Hawkeye. We have reached the Capital of Visbania.”

While the crowd below were baffled, up in the sky America’s AWACS was circling high overhead, reporting in at the same time.

”Target: Royal Palace of Visbania. Prepare to fire.”

”Roger. Target locked, preparing to...... uwaaah!!”

However, what no one had anticipated was that on the other end of the radio, the fighter pilot only let out a single scream, and then suddenly fell silent.

”This is Hawkeye. Falcon One, Falcon One? Respond if you hear! Falcon Squadron! What happened?”

The crew aboard the AWACS called desperately, yet they received no reply whatsoever.

What on earth had happened?

Not only were the people on the AWACS turning that question over in their minds, but everyone on the ground had the same thought running through their heads.

Just moments ago, they’d watched America’s fighters charge straight into Visbania’s capital, without encountering the slightest resistance. While the crowd were still wondering what kind of trick Visbania was planning to pull, suddenly a sky-darkening Shadow fell from above. In the next instant, those fighters slammed directly into that enormous black Shadow and turned into clusters of Fireballs, plummeting to the ground.

”My God, that’s......”

On the ground at this moment— whether the parade-goers, the reporters, or the Soldiers keeping order— everyone was frozen to the spot.

For standing before them was a dark Giant Dragon easily over a hundred meters tall, almost as huge as the entire city itself. Its outstretched wings were enough to cover the whole sky, and its pair of golden eyes flickered with Radiance, bright as the Sun.

”Get off our land, invaders!!”

The Giant Dragon opened its jaws and let out a thunderous roar, forcing many people to clap their hands over their ears.

”This is not a place where you may do as you please. I have learned of your sins! You dare treat My subjects with such arrogance, such discourtesy— and now, the time has come for you to comprehend the power of the Giant Dragon!!”

With those words, in the next moment the Giant Dragon spread its wings and with a single mighty beat, shot off toward the distance.

Seeing this, everyone was stunned.

Are we dreaming?

Why? Why would a Dragon suddenly appear out of nowhere?

”Quick, follow it!!”

No one knew who shouted first, but the next second all the reporters whipped around and sprinted madly in the direction the Giant Dragon had flown. If they remembered correctly, that should be where America’s carrier fleet was located!

Most of them still hadn’t figured out what was going on, but they instinctively knew one thing: this was a massive scoop!!

Even many of the citizens started running that way, while the Queen’s float over here suddenly seemed to have lost almost all attention.

”Your Majesty the Queen, this......!”

”Looks like he’s even more impatient than I thought.”

Facing Count Geese, who looked just as utterly dumbfounded, Mira simply let out a little giggle, then immediately planted her hands on her hips and issued her orders.

”All right, immediately order everyone else to head to the scene and maintain order, so we don’t have any accidents. We can return to the Royal Palace.”

”Ah— yes!”

Hearing Mira’s command, the Commander beside her was startled for a moment, then hurriedly bowed and turned to leave at once. If earlier they had still felt this young Queen was somewhat unreliable, now they were left with nothing but deep awe for Mira. It was obvious that almost everyone had been scared out of their wits by that sudden Giant Dragon; only this young Queen remained so calm and composed. That could only mean that the Giant Dragon must have an inseparable connection with Her Majesty the Queen, and even with the Royal House of Visbania itself!

This Commander was an old hand of Visbania, and at this moment he suddenly recalled a few legends about the Royal House of Visbania...... legends he had always dismissed as fairy tales. But now......

It seemed they were not just simple fairy tales?
