Chapter 346: Chapter 345: The Road to the Peak of Ice and Snow (VI)

If before Fang Zheng was only guessing, then now, he was certain.

A dragon had come here.

Through the bloodline inheritance of the Time Dragon, Fang Zheng knew some customs of the Dragon Race. The situation before him was rare, but not unprecedented—when a dragon came of age, to prove its capabilities to its kin and to display its wealth to potential mates, it would leave its tribe to find its own nest. At the same time, it would use its powers to attract creatures here to serve as its minions.

Generally speaking, if it were a Metal Dragon, then they would more likely deal with Elves or Dwarves, but there were also some dragons that chose evil races as their subordinates…

“Trouble has come…”

While muttering to himself, Fang Zheng looked towards the outside of the cave entrance. Nymph could only roughly provide the direction and size of the creature. Judging by its size, this dragon seemed to be even larger than Fang Zheng’s form, which meant that it was not just an adult dragon but also a quite mature one.

However, what puzzled Fang Zheng was, if it were indeed a very old adult dragon, it should have had its own nest long ago, so why would it come here to build a nest?

“Nymph has sensed a dragon above us; it seems to be eyeing this mountain range, planning to build a nest here.”

“What?”

When everyone heard what Fang Zheng said, they were all startled, especially Molly and the Stonehammer Dwarves. These two species were very long-lived, and perhaps for humans, the so-called Dragon Race was just a distant myth. However, for Elves and Dwarves, their knowledge of the Dragon Race was much deeper.

“A big lizard wants to come here to make a nest? Hmph, has it asked our Dwarves?”

Upon hearing this, the Stonehammer Dwarves angrily waved his axe, and Molly’s face also showed a few traces of unease.

“I have not received any revelations from the Natural Temple… this dragon probably… harbors no good intentions… What should we do?”

No wonder everyone looked so troubled; after all, the threat of a dragon was too great, especially since these creatures clearly attracted an evil dragon—if it had been a good Metal Dragon, these creatures would not even dare come close, let alone cause trouble.

And if it truly was an evil Dragon, then even the combined forces of the Elves and Dwarves would probably struggle to pose any threat to it.

The reason was simple—because dragons can fly!

Being able to fly is significant!

Sorry, being able to fly is a big deal, ever heard of aerial strikes?

“Leave it to me.”

Seeing Molly’s worried expression, Fang Zheng reached out and gently touched her head. He understood why Molly was feeling uneasy; if there really was an evil dragon moving in, then the Elves and Dwarves would probably have a rough time ahead. In the worst case, they might even have to relocate elsewhere.

As for the Dwarves, Fang Zheng didn’t have much opinion. But these Elves, as Fang Zheng himself had said, he would help if he could, especially since some of them had shared a “bedroom acquaintance” with him. As a man, he couldn’t be cowardly at this moment.

“Mr. Fang Zheng, are you sure it’s okay?”

“Don’t worry, I will have a good talk with that dragon… Perhaps we can negotiate a favorable outcome.”

In response to Fina’s query, Fang Zheng also provided a confident answer. According to the energy fluctuations Nymph had detected, the power of that adult Dragon Race was just entering the Legendary Domain—this was a common issue with many long-lived species. They lived longer than humans, but this also meant that their power grew slower than human rates. Otherwise, if they grew at the rate humans did, every Elf and Dragon of the long-lived species on this continent would be Legendary by now, and there’d be no fighting.

A dragon that had just entered the Legendary Rank was not even considered by Fang Zheng; before, he might have been a bit troubled, but now, with “Sealing” in his hand and the formidable existence of Black Katie, if they lost a two-on-one, that would truly be ridiculous.

“But… how are we going to approach that dragon?”

Although the creature appeared on Nymph’s search radar, considering the radius of Little Angel’s search radar, the distance wasn’t close, not to mention the hills were now swarming with those evil creatures. These creatures were probably eagerly waiting to show off their power in front of their new master. As soon as Mr. Fang Zheng and his group appeared, they would be met with a stormy onslaught from these creatures.

“Nymph…”

“Yes, what is it? Master?”

“Uh… no, it’s nothing.”

Looking at the Little Angel who was looking back at him, Mr. Fang Zheng thought for a moment and finally shook his head. For an instant, he had thought of a brilliant idea, which was to have Nymph sing “Land of Heaven” here again. Considering the power that even Golden Grade Soulstones couldn’t resist, it was no problem to obliterate the creatures around. But after looking at the people around him, Mr. Fang Zheng gave up the idea of deploying this “weapon of mass destruction.”

After all, it didn’t differentiate between friend and foe…

Thinking this, Mr. Fang Zheng sighed and then looked towards the Stonehammer Dwarf.

“Is there a path nearby that leads to the summit?”

“Of course, but it’s quite difficult to traverse…”

“Then that’s the way we’ll go.”

After looking at the map the Stonehammer Dwarf had drawn on the ground, Mr. Fang Zheng thought for a moment and then made up his mind.

“We’ll take this small path up the mountain, trying our best not to attract the attention of those creatures along the way. If we encounter enemies, we’ll take them down. Once we get there, I’ll talk to that dragon and act accordingly.”

“It’s the only option we have.”

Even though Mr. Fang Zheng’s proposal wasn’t particularly ingenious, the Stonehammer Dwarf had nothing against it. Although he had left markings to guide his kin, the Stonehammer Dwarf was well aware that if the opponent was a dragon, no amount of his kin would help. Despite the bravery of the dwarves, they had no way to combat a being that attacked from high in the sky. Therefore, even if more people came, it would be useless and might even turn them into sacrifices for the Giant Dragon.

In comparison, it was much safer for a small squad to venture deep alone.

As for their safety, Mr. Fang Zheng wasn’t too worried. As long as he confirmed the location of that dragon, a quick Sealing thrown their way would mean that whatever fierce battle happened inside would have no relation to the outside world… Ah, Sealing was truly marvelous, simply splendid!

The remaining issue, then, was… how to travel the path unnoticed by these creatures and reach the destination without anyone being the wiser.

“Roar—————!!”

Just as everyone was contemplating, suddenly, a roar came from afar. Then, they saw the creatures that had been roaming the mountainsides all lift their heads as if given a command!

Not good, had they been discovered?

Seeing this scene, everyone was shocked, but the next moment brought them a surprise — seeing the creature alliance not even glance their way but instead charge down the mountain!

“What is this…”

Watching the creatures depart, everyone was stunned; however, Mr. Fang Zheng immediately snapped back to reality and waved his hand energetically.

“Whatever the reason, now is our chance, let’s go!”
