Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf

Chapter 127: Chapter 120: Dividing the Prey.

“Hmm? Talent Serum can be substandard? It looks like indeed a lot of Talent Essence dissipated.”

Su Lin looked at the two pale gray notification messages, silently pondering in his heart.

However, having a talent serum, even an incomplete one, is better than none at all.

After Su Lin finished digesting the Essence parts of the Variant Species Musk Ox, he lay down to rest again.

The battle had been a massive drain on him.

He used up a Recovery Potion,

since killing each member of the Wolf Clan depleted some of his Physical Strength.

Fortunately, this large Wolf Pack had not been established for long.

Even though the Variant Species Wolf King had supreme authority, in the face of true death and slaughter, the Wolf Pack still collapsed.

After all, the desire to survive is etched in the genes of every species, and this is hard to change.

If Little Lone Wolf and Xiao Hui had also been there for today’s battle, it probably would have gone more smoothly.

After all, the two of them, plus Wolf Father, are also a substantial force, capable of sweeping through more than twenty Ordinary Wolf Clan members without a problem.

But Su Lin came over in a hurry and did not inform them.

The battlefield was nearly twenty kilometers from his own territory.

Su Lin’s extremely sharp hearing could detect this distance, but the rest of the Wolf Clan could not.

About half an hour into his rest, with the tumultuous howling of wolves,

he saw Xiao Hui, Cousin, and Little Lone Wolf rushing over from afar.

Little Lone Wolf commanded the most presence, leading the most Wolf Clan members, at least a dozen,

and thanks to Little Lone Wolf’s training in recent days, the morale of these dozen Wolf Clan members had significantly improved.

Cousin also led six Wolfesses over.

As for Xiao Hui, it came alone.

Currently, the number of Wolf Clan members under Su Lin’s command exceeds those under Wolf Dad.

Additionally, after crushing the large Wolf Pack, he plans to expand to the west.

The territory of that large Wolf Pack to the west has been vacated.

Once expanded, Su Lin’s territory will reach an unprecedentedly vast expanse!

Besides, there are more Wolf Clan members in that area.

He will have to prepare for a sharp increase in the number of Wolf Packs.

In this area, there are roughly four hundred Wolf Clan members,

Today’s battle saw Su Lin slaughter at least sixty to seventy Wolf Clan members on the ice plains, leaving about three hundred remaining.

These Wolf Clan members would be more than enough to form another large Wolf Pack.

“Ao!”

“Ao!”

“Ao!”

…

As the howling of Little Lone Wolf, Xiao Hui, and Cousin began,

over twenty Wolf Clan members gathered before Su Lin, respectfully awaiting instructions from the Lead Wolf.

In the current area, limbs and bodies along with fresh blood were strewn everywhere,

clearly indicating that a brutal battle had taken place.

The victor was evident, their Lead Wolf.

This caused the Wolf Clan members to respect Su Lin even more, prostrating on the ground with forelimbs cradling their heads in a show of loyalty.

At the same time, they were filled with fear, having not been part of such a bloody fight. If their Lead Wolf could handle it alone, would they still be of use to the Wolf King in the future?

In the cruel natural world, Wolf Clan members who are of no use are often driven away.

Fortunately, after observing them coldly for a moment, Su Lin did not say anything, simply howling softly to signal that these Wolf Clan members, along with Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom, should start cleaning up the battlefield.

The corpses of these dozens of Wolf Clan members must also be collected and stored in a new cave.

Cannibalism among their own kind is something done only in extreme hunger.

Thus, the limbs and bodies of these dozens of Wolf Clan members were to be reserves for when there was no other choice.

Once they found a secluded cave for storage, all that was left was to assign a Wolf Clan member to guard it.

The four Variant Species corpses were the most important.

This was the greatest gain of the battle!

Su Lin decided to give Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom more than a hundred pounds of Variant Species Musk Ox and Wolf King flesh.

Variant Species flesh contains powerful energy and nutrients, and over a hundred pounds is not a small amount.

It would be enough for Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom to eat for a long time.

As for the ordinary Wolf Clan members under Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom’s command, they were not treated to Variant Species flesh.

After the great changes on Earth, for carnivores, Variant Species flesh is extremely precious and can quickly enhance strength.

So Su Lin did not plan to share such valuable food with the ordinary Wolf Clan members.

Next,

as the battlefield was being cleaned, Su Lin devoured another two to three pounds of Variant Species Musk Ox flesh and gained hundreds of Evolution Points.

Additionally, the hauling and dragging by dozens of Wolf Clan members was no small task for Su Lin’s Wolf Pack and Wolf Dad’s Pack.

After being busy for more than two hours, they finally dragged the Wolf Clan bodies to a secluded cave.

This cave was located within Wolf Dad’s territory,

and while not spacious, it was more than enough to store these Wolf Clan bodies.

In the cold Arctic, it took only a few hours for the bodies of the ordinary Wolf Clan to freeze stiff.

Storing them in the cave made the chill inside the cave intensify.

Since it was in Wolf Dad’s territory, Su Lin howled softly, signaling Wolf Dad to assign some Wolf Clan members to guard it.

This place would later serve as a storage site for the Wolf Pack’s food.

The four Variant Species bodies, on the other hand, were entrusted to Little Lone Wolf and Xiao Hui to drag back to the cave under Su Lin’s low howl.

Nature left Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom over a hundred pounds of Variant Species Flesh.

Su Lin took the opportunity to remind them again that they themselves should consume the Variant Species Flesh.

This would allow them to progress faster.

Wolf Dad had already reached the peak of Level 7, and it was possible that by the next visit, he would have advanced to a Level 8 Variant Species.

Wolf Dad’s potential was not weak either.

Having grown to the peak attributes of Level 6 before the great changes in the world had already said it all.

As for Wolf Mother and Cousin, although they had also consumed quite a bit of Variant Species Flesh, there was still no sign of evolving into a Variant Species.

This made Su Lin feel that if he could obtain more Variant Species Serum in the future, he would give priority to Wolf Mother and Cousin.

After all, Wolf Mother and Cousin were the ones he trusted the most.

The more Variant Species there were, the stronger the Wolf Pack would be.

“Awoo!”

At this time, Su Lin had recovered a fifth of his Physical Strength in two or three hours,

He stood up, howled long and high, and then bid farewell to Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom.

He also signaled to Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom to rest and recover in the cave as much as possible during these days.

On the hunt, they should be vigilant of the Variant Species Grizzly Bear, and contact him immediately if anything happened.

Because the Variant Species Grizzly Bear was very powerful, it could almost cause a catastrophic blow to the Wolf Pack commanded by Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom.

As for the territory of the large Wolf Pack to the west, he would personally lead the Wolf Pack to take it over after his Physical Strength had recovered.

After all his instructions,

Su Lin led his main forces away from there.

Wolf Dad and Wolf Mom stood at the cave entrance, watching their offspring gradually disappear into the distance,

In their eyes, in addition to relief, there was also a touch of respect.

In the Wolf Clan, the strong are respected.

Their offspring’s level of strength had already exceeded their imagination,

Especially Wolf Dad, who, after this battle, had started to obey Su Lin’s commands without question.

Wolf Mother was also very relieved about this.

Seeing her spouse and their offspring living together peacefully was a very happy thing for her.

In a little while, Su Lin and the Wolf Pack had gradually disappeared from their sight.

…

Meanwhile, on his way back to the cave, Su Lin was also quite satisfied with the gains from this trip.

About five thousand pounds of Variant Species Flesh from four creatures!

Five thousand pounds!

As the current hard currency, Variant Species Flesh was an astonishing amount.

You should know that the energy and nutrition contained in Variant Species Flesh is terrifying, and even if Su Lin ate about ten pounds a day, he would feel full.

So these five thousand pounds of Variant Species Flesh would be enough to last for a very long time.

If these Variant Species Flesh were to be consumed in the future,

Then both Su Lin and the Wolf Pack’s strength would take a qualitative leap!

With this idea in mind, he led the Wolf Pack quickly back to the cave.

This time’s Variant Species Flesh from the four creatures was still to be placed in the main cave where he lived.

The road to the cave was steep and rugged, and even Little Lone Wolf and Xiao Hui together couldn’t drag the corpses of the Variant Species Wolf King and Variant Species Musk Ox up the slope.

In the end, it was Su Lin who took action and carried the two Variant Species corpses up with his mouth.

The steep and rugged mountain road did cause some inconvenience to the Wolf Pack.

However, in terms of safety and defense, there was a significant improvement.

Overall, the benefits outweighed the drawbacks.

In the future, if other Species were to attack the Wolf Pack, then this challenging mountain road alone would be enough to stop many Ordinary Species.

After dragging back the four Variant Species, the amount of Variant Species Flesh in the cave reached a total of five thousand pounds.

With nearly five thousand pounds of deer meat and some other meats, the total amount of food in the cave reached tens of thousands of pounds.

This food alone, just for the Wolf Clan in this cave, would be enough to last for years without concern.

Variant Species Flesh and Ordinary Species Flesh were separated and stored in the corners of the cave.

With these supplies, even Su Lin felt a sense of security.

Because this food was the strongest guarantee for becoming stronger and surviving.

As he would grow stronger in the future, no matter how things would change, he would be able to adapt and survive.

Su Lin allocated thirty pounds of Variant Species Musk Ox Flesh to Little Lone Wolf and let him take it back.

Little Lone Wolf was the War General that Su Lin planned to cultivate seriously, and although he didn’t participate in the battle, he was still allotted some Variant Species Flesh.

Consuming these thirty pounds of Variant Species Flesh would also help Little Lone Wolf take a stable step on the path of a Level 6 Variant Species.

“Awoo!”

This left Little Lone Wolf howling with delight, wagging his tail repeatedly to show loyalty to Su Lin.

It naturally craved the Variant Species Flesh,

Because it had already consumed it a few times and knew the surging and pure energy contained within.

Su Lin just patted Little Lone Wolf’s head, accepting this loyalty,

And then signaled it to lead the Wolf Pack back.

At this moment, Su Lin lay resting in his spot, also pondering the Wolf Pack’s future development.

The Wolf Pack’s strength needed to be further enhanced and developed to become his support.

The current strength of the Wolf Pack was still too weak, far from keeping up with his pace of improvement.

While he was deep in thought,

Cousin signaled a few Wolfesses to patrol the territory again,

After giving her instructions, Cousin came to Su Lin’s side, caring enough to lick his wounds that had not yet healed.
