Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf

Chapter 109: Chapter 103 Grizzly Bear Flees.

Grizzly Bear and Su Lin stood off against each other in the icy, snowy terrain, the howling blizzard only managing to slightly stir their fur.

But the Variant Species Grizzly Bear, which had always been the bully of this area, did not make any rash moves this time.

Because it still remembered this White Wolf,

Not long ago, it had encountered the White Wolf and the Purple Lynx.

The Grizzly Bear’s sharp sixth sense had detected a faint scent of danger emanating from them.

Yet, after nearly two months, it had thought that by feasting on the bugs filled with abundant energy inside the glacier,

Its strength had grown significantly and it could once again forcefully suppress the White Wolf and the Purple Lynx,

But what made the Variant Species Grizzly Bear’s expression solemn was that the White Wolf seemed to have grown faster, and the aura it emitted was even more dangerous than the last time they’d met.

As for the huge white meat worm, because it was covered in wounds, the heavy scent of blood had masked the original smell of the worm.

Causing Grizzly Bear to be unable to recognize immediately that this was the giant worm from the glacier.

At this moment, the Variant Species Grizzly Bear’s sixth sense was frantically sending it warnings, urging it to stay away from the White Wolf.

This level of warning had not occurred for a very long time.

“Roar!”

This caused the Grizzly Bear to stand in place and let out a deep roar.

It disliked the feeling of being on tenterhooks and tried to boost its own morale with a deep bear roar.

But in the end, it was to no avail. Instead, after it let out that roar,

The White Wolf’s handsome amber eyes narrowed, and the rich murderous aura surrounding it surged violently once again.

For a moment, the air itself seemed to fill with a fearsome, deadly intent.

Whoosh!

The White Wolf’s thick claws swept the Polar Bear Cub to the side, then it took a few steps forward.

The aura rising from its massive four-meter wolf body was overwhelmingly powerful.

This aura made the Variant Species Grizzly Bear feel somewhat breathless.

Nowadays, Su Lin’s strength had undergone an earth-shattering transformation; even though his Physical Strength had dropped a great deal,

If it really came down to a fight to the death, the Grizzly Bear would certainly perish!

At the same time, the latest Attribute Values for the Variant Species Grizzly Bear appeared in front of Su Lin.

Race: Grizzly Bear (Variant Species).

Level: 18.

Qi-Blood: 4237.

Endurance: 253.

Strength: 261.

Defense: 265.

Speed: 127.

Talent: Defense (C-Level).

The strength of the Variant Species Grizzly Bear had greatly increased over these nearly two months.

The Variant Species Grizzly Bear not only had an extraordinary encounter in the glacier, but its potential for growth was also of Monster Level, like that of the Variant Species Lynx.

Otherwise, even if it feasted every day on the Polar Ice Worms containing Pure Energy, it wouldn’t have achieved such a tremendous boost in strength.

Indeed, those who became Variant Species before the cataclysmic blizzard were not simple creatures.

This caused Su Lin’s golden-brown Wolf Eyes to flash with a chilling intent to kill.

The more monstrous, the more they must be slaughtered!

Only the strongest genes can provide the best fuel for his path to Evolution!

“Awoooo!”

Su Lin howled loudly, his white fur bristling, and at that moment, the deadly intent in the air fully erupted.

Yet the Variant Species Grizzly Bear that had always dominated this area did not opt for a head-on clash at that moment, instead, it backed away.

It didn’t flee in panic, but it did retreat several steps and even took on a defensive posture with its massive bear body.

This Variant Species Grizzly Bear, which only showed caution in very rare situations.

Ever since Grizzly Bear reached adulthood, it seldom encountered any rivals in the Arctic.

Especially after it consumed a few small bugs within a glacier, it was as if it had entered a new realm of growth.

Its strength increased day by day, and in a short period, it had already broken through the upper limits of its species,

Even the once strongest dominator of the Arctic, the Polar Bear, could only shiver in the face of its ferocity.

But now, it truly sensed a dangerous aura coming from this White Wolf.

Therefore, instead of provoking the White Wolf, it retreated a few steps and sent a signal of submission to the White Wolf.

The intelligence of the bear species was already a bit higher than that of the Wolf Clan,

After transforming into a Variant Species, the intelligence of the Variant Species Grizzly Bear had surpassed most other species.

This intelligence allowed it not to charge blindly and brutally like the rest of the Bear Clan, but to learn to retreat and avoid conflicts.

However, it seemed that the White Wolf had no intention of letting it go, continuing to approach once again.

As the White Wolf drew nearer, the terrifying intent to kill engulfed the bear like dark clouds over a city.

This pressure made the Variant Species Grizzly Bear struggle to suppress the irritation in its heart and it couldn’t help but roar once again.

“Roar!”

The deep bear roar echoed above the sky.

But this bear roar had no deterrent effect whatsoever.

And after the roar, as it saw the White Wolf still approaching, it finally couldn’t withstand the pressure,

Under the immense desire to survive, it started to abandon the dignity of being the territorial dominator,

Its thick forelimbs pounded the ground, then it began a hasty escape.

Its fleeing speed even exceeded the numbers shown on the stat panel, reaching over thirty meters per second.

This speed was absolutely terrifying within the Bear Clan.

Over thirty meters per second, it was almost comparable to that former Purple Lynx.

But even with a speed that could be considered second to none in the Bear Clan, the Variant Species Grizzly Bear still didn’t want a real fight to the death with the White Wolf, for it cherished its life too much.

It knew it hadn’t grown to its peak state yet,

And most of the female Grizzly Bears and female Polar Bears nearby had already been won over by it.

So it had a wonderful life and future ahead.

It still wanted to bring the entire region under the dominion of the Bear Clan, it still wanted to father many offspring, to enjoy the bear life, ruling over this territory.

That’s why it didn’t want to risk its life, and fled without dignity.

This caused a flash of astonishment to pass through Su Lin’s golden brown Wolf Eyes.

He had thought there would be an epic battle with this Grizzly Bear.

This fight would decide who truly was the strongest dominator of this territory,

But unexpectedly, the Grizzly Bear fled so quickly,

“It seems this Grizzly Bear really cherishes its life,” Su Lin said.

However, Su Lin did not pursue swiftly,

On one hand, there was the corpse of the Ice Bug King to be dragged back to the cave, which was also a considerable gain,

With these five to six hundred pounds of Variant Species Flesh, the Wolf Pack’s strength could at least increase by another level.

On the other hand, he had already expended a lot of his Physical Strength and didn’t want to waste a Recovery Potion just to chase after the Variant Species Grizzly Bear.

After all, the Variant Species Grizzly Bear was still in the Arctic, and it wouldn’t be too late to kill it after his strength had recovered.

Without the Polar Ice Worms from the glacier for the Variant Species Grizzly Bear to consume, its Strength would likely remain at this level.

It wouldn’t see much improvement in the short term,

And this Variant Species Grizzly Bear was too cautious of its life, far lacking the madness and ferocity of the Variant Species Lynx when it fought!
