Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 1051: Chapter 493: To Each Their Own

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

Abigail Henderson explained again: ”We usually don’t go out once it gets dark. This area is suburban, and it gets pretty deserted at night.”

Kenneth Osborne nodded, ”Alright then, come over now, and let’s continue discussing the topic we didn’t finish this morning.”

Abigail Henderson quickly packed her laptop and backpack, and headed out.

She knocked on Lawrence Winters’ door and said loudly, ”Heavenly Master Winters, I’m off to a meeting with Mr. Osborne and will have dinner outside, don’t wait for me.”

Lawrence Winters had just returned to his room.

Upon hearing Abigail speak in the hallway, he quickly opened the door and smiled, saying, ”Okay, Lawyer Henderson, if you return late tonight, you can call me and I’ll drive to pick you up.”

”No need, I’m driving myself, but I’ll be back early,” Abigail said, waving goodbye deftly and turned to leave.

Lawrence Winters watched her departing figure for a moment, then glanced at the room next door where Kenneth Osborne had stayed, shrugged, and thought to himself that he really needs to get used to his divorced status.

He knew that their sudden divorce hadn’t allowed either of them to adjust their mindset in time, and they’d occasionally still treat each other as husband or wife, which was indeed wrong.

If the way they interact hasn’t changed after the divorce, what’s the point of getting divorced?

So maybe Kenneth Osborne moving out is the best choice.

Lawrence Winters silently pondered, but just as he was about to leave, Edward Foster emerged from his room, saw Lawrence, and quickly said, ”Lawrence, I heard Mr. Osborne moved out? Can I move into his room?”

Lawrence Winters just wanted to roll his eyes.

Moving from one side of the hallway to the other, isn’t that just finding something to do out of boredom?

Lawrence Winters curled up one side of his lip and said, ”If Young Master Foster wants to move, then I’ll move too.”

”Where are you moving to?”

”I’ll move to the room opposite, the one closest to the wall.”

Lawrence Winters pointed to the room at the other end of the hallway.

Edward Foster had no choice but to drop the idea, jokingly saying, ”Please don’t, if my mom finds out, she’ll turn me into a pig’s head...”

Lawrence Winters knew he was joking.

From what she knew of Edward Foster, when has he ever been a ”good child” for his parents?

This speech habit of constantly mentioning his mom is just an attempt to ease the awkwardness between them.

Lawrence Winters had agreed he could pursue her, but not now, only after the competition was over.

She nodded at him, ”Mr. Ho’s suite is quite unique, Young Master Foster, if you have time, you can walk around with your mom, the scenery of this neighborhood is very beautiful, the pristine forest is right behind, and the air is quite fresh.”

”Exactly!” These words reminded Edward Foster, and he said excitedly, ”When I came here, Ah Zhe had already spoken about it, saying the pristine forest behind the mountain is a good place for hunting. I even got a hunting license for it! By the way, I brought my hunting rifle!”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

”Hunting? You want to hunt in the pristine forest behind? Can you hunt?” Lawrence Winters asked curiously.

She’d never actually seen a real hunt before!

Seeing her interest, Edward Foster definitely didn’t hold anything back and hurriedly replied, ”I’ve been going to the African Savannah to hunt every summer since I was fifteen. I’m a really good shot! I’ve hunted antelopes, lions, jackals, and leopards!”

”Ah? Aren’t these protected animals? How can you kill them?” Lawrence Winters asked, puzzled.

”...In our country, they are protected animals, but in the East African Savanna, they’re legal hunting targets,” Edward Foster explained, enlightening her on the rules of nature in the animal kingdom, ”Animals there often reproduce excessively, so those countries open up certain areas where legal hunting is permitted. You have to pay a lot every time you go!”

Lawrence Winters pursed her lips, thinking that these rich people really know how to have fun.

She and Kenneth Osborne at fifteen spent their summer breaks cooped up at a family home in a small county-town, playing video games together...

At most they’d go on a picnic in the nearby suburbs, where they wouldn’t even spot a wild rabbit.

Edward Foster continued talking and noticed Lawrence Winters seemed a bit distracted.

He hastily changed the subject and said with a smile, ”Look at me, you’re a girl, surely not interested in these things.”

Lawrence Winters quickly shook her head, ”No, no, I am very interested. If there’s a chance, I’d love to go hunting in the East African Savanna myself...”

”Sure, it’s not a difficult task... After the competition, we can go together, and I’ll take you to try the famous Congo River catfish soup there, it’s incredibly delicious, and they serve really authentic French cuisine that’s even better than what you find in France itself, over there they produce fresh seafood and river produce, so the ingredients are very fresh.”
