Chapter 1046: Stroked Ego

”...”

Yunohana stood frozen beside the sitting room’s low table, her hand still caught between Aria’s. She had permission to date Kaiden, provided she never tried to take him away from the woman smiling inches from her face.

The death threat had been appallingly convincing.

”I would never dream of it,” the shrine maiden assured her with breathless urgency.

”Wonderful~”

Aria squeezed her hand, beaming again.

Behind them, Luna leaned against Nyx and wheezed.

”You should’ve seen your face, Miss Milf.”

”I believe I felt it sufficiently.”

Yunohana looked toward Kaiden. He was smiling at Aria with so much affection that she could only stare at him.

”You’re enjoying this?”

”Why wouldn’t I?”

”Your girlfriend just threatened to kill me.”

”Kai enjoys it because it strokes his ego,” Nyx explained with a sultry grin.

”Master likes his women having catfights,” Bastet nodded sagely. ”Especially when the fight is about him.”

”The only thing bigger than his ego is his co-” Luna couldn’t finish her sentence, for Nyx used [Telekinesis] to forcibly close her foul mouth.

Aria slipped an arm around Yunohana’s uninjured side.

”Would you like us to help you get ready tomorrow? You know more about beauty than us, especially considering your exotic style, but I think we can give you some Kai-specific advice.”

The shrine maiden looked at her, bewildered by how comfortable the embrace felt after the threat.

”I... would appreciate that.”

”Good. We’ll take proper care of you.”

...

That night, Kaiden lay naked across the wreckage of his bed with his head in Aria’s lap.

The room smelled of sweat and sex, and the sheets had been kicked halfway from the mattress.

Luna still had his handprint glowing across her ass, and Nyx’s inner thighs were wet with what he’d left inside her. Aria sat cross-legged against the headboard behind him, just as naked and thoroughly glowing as the other two, her silver hair spilling over his face while she massaged his scalp.

Luna sprawled along his right side, drawing lazy circles around the bite she’d left on his chest. Nyx filled his other arm with warm curves, one heavy breast pressed against his ribs as her fingertip followed a scratch down his stomach.

They had been quiet for perhaps thirty seconds.

Luna ruined it.

”We were worried for your health, but clearly...” She massaged her red buttocks. ”It was wasted effort.”

”Told you I was fine.”

”Nya... Master... More...” Bastet was outright sleep talking, totally knocked out.

Calypso, meanwhile, was breathing happily from somewhere on the floor, having the happiest of dreams. Her body was still having mini shudders from time to time.

”So the alleged Casanova finally made a proper move...” Luna muttered.

Kaiden opened one eye.

”What does that mean?”

”Think about it.” Luna lifted her head from his shoulder, her purple hair an absolute mess.

”You got handed three girlfriends by the whole Valkyrie setup. Then you dicked down two monster chicks until they fell in love with you. After that, you just stopped at five. I was starting to wonder if you weren’t the chick magnet I thought you were at all.”

Nyx’s finger continued over his stomach while her lips curled.

”Calypso came to him herself, bestie. You’re being rather generous with your summary.”

”Fine, she picked him up. Even worse for his credentials.”

”...”

”Now he finally goes for a woman himself, and look who he picks.” Luna swept one hand through the air. ”An utterly gorgeous, sophisticated, graceful, turbo feminine, wealthy, powerful - both politically and personally - exotic milf. That’s a baller move if I ever saw one.”

”You’re wrong. Kai did romance us properly,” Aria objected at once.

Her fingers paused in his hair. Kaiden looked up and found her giving Luna an indignant look across him.

”I fell in love with him. Honestly, listen to yourself. You make it sound as though he just stood there while we did everything.”

Aria brushed his hair back from his forehead, her voice softening.

”He makes me happy every day. Even when he’s being terribly difficult, I just want him closer. You both know exactly what I mean.”

The easy certainty in her voice settled warmly through Kaiden’s chest. Aria looked down at him, still offended on his behalf, and the love in her eyes was so open that he reached up to touch her cheek.

She turned into his palm and kissed it.

Nyx rested her chin on his chest.

”Our beginning was a little transactional, to be fair to the gremlin,” she purred.

Aria’s eyes swirled with pure yandere mania as she refused to acknowledge such an idea. ”Perhaps you two were taking advantage of Kai and his system, but I was already deeply in love with him. I would’ve said yes to being his girlfriend had he asked me out without the whole Valkyrie offer.”

”...Now you’re making me feel bad. I’m sorry, Kai.” Nyx kissed the center of Kaiden’s chest. Her pink hair slid over his skin as she looked up at him.

Kaiden tightened his arm around her voluptuous body until she gave a pleased little hum against him.

”The thought never entered my mind,” he assured her. ”Luna said it, not me.”

His other hand cracked across Luna’s perky ass.

”Hie!?”

Luna jerked against him, then bared her teeth and bit his chest. ”Take this!”

”Ow.”

Her purple eyes shone in the dark as she released him.

”You deserved it.”

Kaiden cupped the cheek he’d slapped and squeezed. Luna’s hips pressed eagerly into his hand, ruining every trace of outrage she was trying to maintain.

”Mm... Still deserved it,” she muttered.

Aria resumed massaging his scalp. Her fingertips moved slowly through his hair, but her expression had grown serious.

”Are you really serious about Yunohana?”

”Yeah.”

The answer came without hesitation. He held Aria’s gaze while Luna and Nyx remained warm against his sides.

”I wouldn’t have asked you girls if I wasn’t sure I wanted to pursue her.”

Aria studied him for a moment, then her smile returned.

”Okay.”

She bent over him, her hair closing around his face, and kissed his forehead.

Luna propped herself higher on his chest.

”So when did you start wanting to ask her out?”

Kaiden considered it while his thumb moved over her ass.

”Somewhere between her scolding me for treating her hair like a wet dog and her trying to convince herself that blood loss was making her heart race.”

Luna stared at him.

”She what?”

”She offered a very convincing medical diagnosis.”

Nyx laughed against him.

”Our composed High Shrine Maiden blamed blood loss because a man made her heart race? That’s adorable.”

”She was so serious about it too,” Kaiden said, smiling at the memory. ”She’d been teasing me perfectly happily until she noticed her own heartbeat. I let her feel mine, and she finally believed I was nervous too. By then, I wanted to spend tomorrow with her.”

Luna looked delighted.

”So she bullied you about hair, got flustered when you flirted back, and you folded. You really do have a type.”

”...Are you saying I like difficult women?”

”Watch your mouth.” Luna bit him again. Kaiden laughed, squeezing her ass until the bite turned into a muffled giggle against his skin.

Nyx waited for Luna to settle before tracing her fingertip back up his stomach.

”What are you looking forward to tomorrow, Kai?”
