Death… And Me

Chapter 4010: Xyrath’s Answer

Three thousand years, four thousand years, five...

Foliana got to the limit of the Space-Time Realm, but she has failed many times to reach the Divinity Realm. In the end, as good as Roan’s cultivation technique might be, that last barrier was still very difficult to pass. Comprehending the laws and merging them were two completely different things.

That actually allowed Tanxan to catch up to Foliana, something that hadn’t happened in a long time. He cultivated to the limit of the Space-Time Realm near the year four thousand, but he, too, has been stuck at the Peak Stage of the Space-Time Realm ever since then.

The other Peak Stage Space-Time Realm experts from Qufis couldn’t help but sigh in relief. They had failed just as many times, and they were happy to see that at least two members of the twins’ group were going through the same difficulties.

However, even if Tanxan and Foliana were stuck, the same couldn’t be said about Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky.

On the 5612th year after the opening of the Future Realm, all four of them reached the Middle Stage of the Divinity Realm!

Zonhime looked at that, bitterly smiling. She also reached the Middle Stage during the Future Realm, but she was already a Divinity when she arrived and had been trying to enter that stage for even longer outside. Whether she liked it or not, the difference in talent between her and the twins’ quartet was simply that big.

Celis, however, wasn’t so happy. ’No wonder the system said the Starlight Formation would only help up to the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm. The amount of Sky Energy we need now is practically bottomless!’

Rean nodded, although he expected as much. ’What did you want? We are so much stronger than those at the same level. It would be absurd if it were actually easy to cultivate as well.’

Celis mentally sighed. ’I know that, I know... Still, the amount of energy to jump five times... What if I wasn’t here? I’m giving it my all with my absorption laws and innate ability, and it still took this long for a single stage. No, the time isn’t the problem. If anything, just a few thousand years to go from the Initial Stage to the Middle Stage is actually very, very good. It is the energy amount that is bothering me.’

Roan didn’t complain. ’When we were in the Initial Stage, it would be very hard to find anyone capable of fighting against us. Now that we are in the Middle Stage, I highly doubt there is a single Divinity Realm Expert in A1 Universe capable of doing it.’

Kentucky agreed with Roan. ’He is right, Celis. The way we are now, we can even fight Semi-Celestials. Back then, Rean and Roan had to use their fusion, which put them at the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm, and that was only to fight at the same level as those Semi-Celestials. Now, we can do it just with our strength at the Middle Stage of Divinity. We are doing very, very well.’

’Fine!’ Celis knew that they were strong. ’I was complaining about the energy requirements, but it seems like you guys only care about our strength instead.’

’Obviously,’ Roan didn’t hide it. ’As long as we are strong enough, we will survive, and while alive, we can cultivate for as long as necessary. The Starlight Formation might not be as good after the Divinity Realm, but we will be able to spend the necessary time to make up for it.’

Roan’s attention then shifted to outside the formation. He could feel Rean and Kentucky somewhere else in the Future Realm. ’How are things on your side?’

Rean smiled in response. ’We just paid another visit to the Runia Continent’s group and left another Divine Energy Vein for them. This time, we pretended to be Space-Time Realm Peak Stage cultivators. Schumak is truly funny. His expression contorts in new ways every time we show ourselves with higher cultivation levels.’

’I was talking about the Time Plates, idiot!’ Roan retorted.

’Oh, that!’ Rean nodded. ’It would actually be better to ask Senior Xyrath about them.’

Xyrath, who spent most of his time in the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, heard the conversation with Sister Orb’s help and now joined it. ’The furthest possible futures being displayed inside the Time Plates are already below two hundred years. It’s just that the closer the future, the more Time Plates with a similar number of years are displayed.’

Roan nodded. ’But that also means you are catching up to the times of many more Times Plates than before. Say it straight. Just how many Time Plates have been dealt with and how many are remaining?’

Xyrath was connected to them all, so he could tell exactly how many were left. Well, he decided to use percentages to make it easier to understand. ’I have caught up to 21% of them. There are still 79% of the Time Plates remaining.’

’Still 79%?!’ Kentucky was taken aback. ’Will we manage to take them all before the Future Realm closes? Xyrath can’t control the opening and closure of the Future Realm until he puts his body back together.’

’We are actually ahead of schedule,’ Xyrath spoke with confidence. ’It looks like a small percentage, but that’s because I took care of the Time Plates that displayed the furthest futures first. I can tell that the Future Realm will remain open for another 6498 years exactly. It is always something slightly above ten thousand years, and it hasn’t changed.’

’Trust me! Now that the futures inside the remaining Time Plates are much closer to our own branch of time, these six thousand years are definitely enough to take care of them all. It’s just that we will have Rean’s group coming out to swap the Time Plates much more frequently.’

Rean didn’t mind. ’That’s fine. Roan and Celis are more than enough to protect Qufis. Foliana and Tanxan might reach the Divinity Realm at some point, too. We truly have nothing to complain about here.’

Kentucky was obviously happy to hear that. ’Oh! That’s great! Then let’s continue our work.’

Hearing all of that, Tanxan thought of something. ’Seems like everything is truly settled for us. By the way, now that we’ve got this far, is there anything for us to worry about later?’

’What do you mean?’ Roan asked him on the side.

’I’m talking about the Future Realm itself,’ Tanxan answered. ’After Xyrath catches up to the futures inside the Time Plates, what will happen? Will the Future Realm disappear? Well, Xyrath is responsible for the Future Realm’s existence, so he can make it disappear as long as he puts his body back together. That much I already know. But how will things play at that point?’

Everyone focused on Xyrath inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. ’First, we will need to hear Xyrath’s opinon.’
