Death… And Me

Chapter 3884: Two Reason For a Visit

Not too long after that, the residence where the Hazin Clan was staying received a visit. Surprisingly, it was Wisfreya herself who came to see Roan.

Ruriklin heard about that and was puzzled. Wisfreya was the top participant from the Verjansy Country. In fact, she was definitely the strongest cultivator in this gathering, at least if you count only her cultivation. ”What does she want with you? Does it have something to do with the conversation you had before taking your tokens?”

Let’s not forget that for everyone outside, Rean and Roan never fought Wisfreya; they just talked. As for the guys Wisfreya killed, they were shown to be killed by Wisfreya, but through different methods than what she truly used.

”Most likely,” Roan nodded slightly. It’s just that he didn’t expect the Verjansy Country to allow Wisfreya to come after him or Rean. In this case, she seemed to have selected Roan since Rean was in another residence and was part of another power.

Well, the fact is that the Verjansy Country didn’t want Wisfreya to come here at all. It was Wisfreya herself who went to see him out of her own volition.

”Sigh...” Ruriklin decided to let it go. ”It doesn’t matter. We can’t do anything to her here in the open, and it is the same thing for her. However, she might try to recruit you, so don’t listen to that kind of bullshit. Go see what she wants since it wouldn’t look good on us if we send her away like this.”

Roan nodded and went to the living room of that residence to see Wisfreya. ”Alright, here I am. What is it?”

Wisfreya immediately switched to Divine Sense talk. ’Don’t pretend you don’t know why I came here. Just tell me the reason.’

Roan, however, was lost. ’What are you talking about?’

Wisfreya narrowed her eyes, feeling annoyed. ’What am I talking about? Isn’t that obvious? Every single power, especially the rest of the top ten, wants me dead because of my potential. Yet, you, who had me in the palm of your hands, let me go back in the Labyrinth. You could have simply cut my head there, and I’m sure anyone else would be glad to have done so.’

’So that’s what you are talking about...’ Roan nodded. He had completely forgotten that already. After all, why would he waste more time since he has no use for her powers? ’There wasn’t any specific reason. You couldn’t give us the answers we wanted, so we let you go. It was that simple.’

’I truly intended to kill you to conceal the truth of my powers,’ Wisfreya pointed out. ’Shouldn’t you have answered in the same coin?’

Roan had to admit she was right. ’Yes, maybe we should, but we didn’t. Isn’t that good enough? Besides, leaving you alive made your government come after us to strike a deal about the alteration of the live stream feed. In the end, they answered the questions that you couldn’t.’

’They did what?!’ Wisfreya was taken aback. ’How could they have told you that?’

’Because we signed a Soul Binding Contract that we wouldn’t tell anyone about it,’ Roan answered. ’They were more than happy to comply. Unless a powerful expert intervenes and removes the contract seal from our souls, we truly can’t break this condition. Of course, we could just cultivate to a realm high enough to eliminate the contract ourselves, but it will take a very long time. It is pretty obvious that the Verjansy Country doesn’t intend to conceal your powers for that long. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have accepted this deal.’

Wisfreya pondered a bit. ’Just... why would you want to know about my powers so much? You could have asked for a fortune from the Verjansy Country in exchange for your silence. As one of the top ten powers from the Surute Region, they definitely have deep enough pockets to fulfill your wishes.’

Roan couldn’t care less about the Verjansy Country’s deep pockets, though. If anything, the twins’ Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm likely holds a higher value than everything in Verjansy combined. ’Let’s just say we lack no resources at the moment.’

Wisfreya obviously didn’t believe Roan, but she didn’t insist anymore. ’Alright, forget I asked that. I just couldn’t get to terms with it, that’s all. Let’s change the topic. There is a much more important motive for my visit. Just what kind of cultivation technique do you use? It must be related to how you managed to stop me back there.’

Roan looked at Wisfreya as if he were looking at an idiot. ’And why the hell would I tell you that? Do you see anyone sharing their secrets with each other here? You can’t possibly be that dumb, can you?’

Wisfreya noticed her mistake and quickly corrected herself. ’Sorry, you are correct there. It’s just that I felt like you guys use the same kind of energy as I do.’

’Same kind of energy?’ Roan narrowed his eyes. ’Do you mean your Aether Energy? We did hear about it from your government. You have the Luminous Aether Dragon Bloodline, right? Then I found in the Werdlem Network that it is a kind of energy made of the merging of your Bloodline Power and Divine Energy. If you are talking about Divine Energy, then it is obvious that we use it. Pretty much all humanoid races use Divine Energy. What’s the point there?’

’That’s not the energy I was talking about,’ Wisfreya said, seemingly lost in her own thoughts for a moment. Then, she continued. ’It is true that I have the Luminous Aether Dragon Bloodline, but the Aether Energy uses three types of energy to be created, not just two. This information is pretty much unknown, even in the Werdlem Network. Well, if you do search the network in the right places, you can find a few mentions about it, but not many go that far.’

Roan immediately contacted Sister Orb. ’Is that true?’

[Eh?! Wait, let me check. I only did a quick research about the Luminous Aether Dragon earlier. I stopped when I found that the Aether Energy needed that Dragon’s Bloodline. I didn’t go deep into it.]

As Sister Orb looked into that information, Roan continued his conversation. ’Alright, I get it. It needs more than just the Divine Energy and Luminous Aether Dragon Bloodline. What is the third on-’

But then, he remembered something Sister Orb said about the origin of the Aether Dragon. ’Wait, isn’t the Luminous Aether Dragon born from Condensed Divine Energy, Living Crystal, and... Starlight Energy?’ (Chapter 3883)

Roan understood it, finally. Divine Energy was the normal part. The Living Crystal was what gave origin to the Dragon’s Bloodline, and Starlight Energy... was the third Energy needed to create the Aether Energy!

’So you did get the right information, uh?’ Wisfreya nodded. ’That’s correct. For me to create my Aether Energy, I use my Luminous Aether Dragon Bloodline Power, Divine Energy, and Starlight Energy.’

There was only one difference between the twins’ Sky Energy and Wisfreya’s Aether Energy. Wisfreya and the Aether Dragons used their Bloodline Power instead of Soul Power. It made sense. After all, Dragons weren’t exactly known for their Soul Power anyway. They have it, but you might as well just ignore it if you are a Dragon.

Roan could see where Wisfreya was coming from. ’So... the similar type of energy you said you felt on us was Starlight Energy?’

’More than just Starlight Energy,’ Wisfreya pointed out. ’It was very faint, but I felt the presence of an energy far above that, just like my own Aether Energy.’

And there you have it. The second and most important reason for Wisfreya’s visit. She wanted to know what it was that she felt... the twins’ Sky Energy!
